The game was so awesome before the free to play and gold currency got into the game. So many players, instant games, high competitiveness etc. It's so sad that the game is dead now, it was way better than LoL in my opinion.

this music makes me so emotional to the point i start feeling the beginnings of an mental breakdown... as not only does it bring me back to when this game was actually good, as well as being the only competitor to cancerous league, its also an gateway to an era where you played with other players together, armed with equipment such as magnetic carbines and lightning-charged wooden sticks while being led by an true commander on the sky, which could be busy coordinating the team alongside the officers while expanding territory and building up the base of the team such an shame S2 games abandoned both games... yet they dare stain the memory of that era by "resurrecting" that game on unreal 4 then fuck it up so badly to the point of adding lootboxes to it, the company dissolved last year, and all i can say is good riddance

And this music. Goosh, i love this game, im 29 now, and i still play it ocasionally and i will as long as it lives. Would like to bring those times back.
@@rickopika6480 sadly those times will never come back now, since i found out recently that content patches ended last year, which means the game is pretty much dead outside still having technical support, leaving its players with the sole choice of migrating over to dota 2, the game pretty much died the moment they started emulating league anyways, with anime-like girls being added in and shit like the stupid shiny skins that dont fit the canon of the game, which league also does

believe it or not, this music was not made for the game, its actually far older than the game itself, its the menu theme of savage: the battle for newerth, the rts-fps-melee combat hybrid that began the savage universe in the first place, just like HoN s2 retardedly abandoned that game, then its sequel after they became responsible for an disaster thanks to its incompetence, in the form of loosing the entire data of what seemed like an expansion pack to the game, which was going to add an few more hellbourne units and an completely new insect faction
Sad to say but the HoN commuty is slowly dying because of those accounts that quits or just afks for fun just like lol but still if i have a choice between the 3 i still pick HoN over dota 2 and LoL because of those times i played it for a long time before the monster dota 2 hit the scene
I've got a lot of pms recently asking me if I could make a custom lobby track playing the old song. Didnt have a lot time recently to look into this but this is what I found out: In the new interface, S2Games moved the lobbymusic to the loginscreen. So the only thing I could do is to make the loginscreen play the music. There is no script or musicfile attached to the lobbysystem in the new interface. So I guess the only solution is to manually play my video/song every time you join a lobby.
@asianpeanutable Shut it with the spam. I play both HoN and LoL and it makes me so annoyed when people talk shit about the other game. Both games are highly different, so you can't compare.

@asianpeanutable The music is epic actually. You just need to add the hero pick sounds to this bg music. Unlike LoL, HoN does have a great voice that announces every picked hero. And that what makes it good.
The LoL ranked music is a bit better, in my opinion... However, this is much better than the normal LoL selection music. I really like this tune. It gets stuck in my head constantly.
your in luck they made a game mode called " Core Pool " which as it's named brings Hon's core back.. you could play that game mode if you can't keep up with the new hero's or feel like playing hon like the good old days.

There was never such a time.. HoN was nearly a 100% copy of Dota with updated graphics at the time of its release.
