We too were fortunate Barry, our home off the 192, on Calabria, suffered 2 pool screen panels blown out and 1 tree blown over and thankfully it fell into the lake. Happy to hear you were fortunate too. Tony.
Thank the Lord that you both came through the hurricane unscathed. I feel so badly for those who have lost family ,homes, businesses. God bless them all. Thank you for taking us through it all with you.
Interesting Vlog, Mr. and Mrs. Bazza. So glad you didn't get any real damage. And even though it wasn't as bad as first predicted, it's better to be prepared and not need it than to be unprepared should conditions get bad.
Fantastic to see that you are going to donate all proceeds to the greater good from this video, what a fabulous gesture to all the Floridians impacted by the hurricane. I have decided to donate after watching this video, I was there during the hurricane on holiday and it was definitely sad to see the impact it had on the state of Florida. Sending my best to everyone impacted.
Great vlog guys for people that never lived in Florida. Glad you were safe. Hope all those tiles are not from your new roof. Thank you for donating. Kind hearted my kind of people ❤
Thank you for keeping this so real, shows all the preparation needed very interesting to see and what a lovely gesture at the end. Glad you’re both ok. ❤
So glad you are both ok, allot of those tiles probably weren’t yours as your roof is quite new , so generous for you to give the money to the charity xxx❤
I watched this vlog bc I was just through the exact same experience except we did have tornado warnings out here in the beach areas. I will say this, I did not drain my pool but as the storm got closer I was wishing I had. I was worried about it overflowing and coming into my house!! Glad y’all through basically unscathed. Let’s chat soon! 😍🌀😘💪🏻🌀
Hi guys 🤗 we were thinking of you and followed the news throughout ! You both were certainly prepared for all scenarios!! Lady Max ….your stew look so delish 😋 and I would most certainly have had alcohol to take me through it 👏 🤗🤗
I’m so glad y’all made it through safely. You all were in my thoughts and prayers. I have family and friends in Tampa and Orlando so I was watching it very closely. Have a wonderful evening.🙂
Love your youtube about the Florida parks! We live in Washington state and I've been afraid to fly...now at 64 watching how much fun u guys have... ive gotten the guts to book for mid January...coming for 3 weeks and doing disney and all the big parks....im sure we will still have lots to learn but thank u for making flying and Florida look easy!!
Glad you are both ok. We got back home to the UK on Friday. We stayed at Endless Summer Dockside and they were brilliant during the hurricane. Glad to see your vlog as we did think of you both. Xx
New subscriber to your channel thanks to the Lodge guys. I’ve enjoyed following along on the adventures with everyone. I was worried about you during the storm and happy to hear this update!❤ Relieved you faired well
Thank you for sharing, I followed along Milton’s journey, of course wanting to know how Disney etc fared, but a very good friend of mine lives in Tampa and they decided against evacuating, so I spent the night worried sick. So pleased to say they’re fine and great to see you both are too. Sam x
glad you didn't sustain any damage, Maxine I didn't sleep until 5am either, never heard winds like it, but we are all good, safe and sound and no damage. Great video guys. Like the idea of that bag.
So glad everything was OK very interesting too I didn't know about having to withstand a cat 4 hurricane or they won't pay out I have donated via the link and on your page what a lovely thing to do ❤
Insurance would not pay out if they find you have made modifications to your house and did not get the correct permits . Thank you so much for donating
I'm glad you're both OK. In our neighborhood, we lost trees, but all is well with the homes. We lost power for 12 hrs, but we have a generator, which is a must living here. Very happy you made it through! 😊
Thanks for sharing. Very informative. Relieved you both came through it. When the rain is exceptionally heavy and comes down over a long period of time the drain pump for our pool can’t drain it fast enough so like you we always have to anticipate and drain ahead. Living in earthquake country (northern California) and sadly now wildfires, we have our bug out bag always at the ready. I added a crank radio, toothbrushes and toothpaste. Inside a kitchen cupboard I have stuck up a printed list of all the essential items to grab if there is time. We had wildfires come close and under stress the mind does not think. In my closet is another list of clothing/shoes.
Fabulous vlog. You captured the experience really well and like you said all in one vlog. I was laughing at the bit where you were taking the pool furniture inside and the music you played almost sounded like the prodigy , I thought you was about to sing acciiiid 😂 . Thank you for vlogging you guys are brilliant xx
Glad you were both spared the brunt of the storm. I was glued to that channel (Max Velocity) and webcams around the Gulf coast. I expect you've polished of those Fish & Chips snacks by now! 🤣
Very glad to watch this video. Y’all were on my mind all night. I should have chatted with Maxine on the FB page because I was up watching the weather until sunrise 🤣
It’s the noise of the wind that would scare me - when you were going out to turn the pump on it looked absolutely wild out there! I don’t think I’d be sleeping either 😂 it must fill you with dread getting up the next morning to see the damage! glad you both came out of the other side though x
Hi, I just subscribed I came over from therealbritsofFloridas channel. Really feel for everyone going through this. Praying for everyone involved. ❤❤ xx I love your home we have nothing like that in the UK, that's posh xx
really interesting vlog guys , we were over when Ian landed in a hotel on International drive it was like ' dog hotel ' which is amazing that all the hotels accepted animals , i just feared for the horses as i know they have to be outside as mine does here in UK in high winds and storms !
Glad you are both OK. In my neighborhood of Southchase, I lost internet, landline and cable for about 10 hours. A cousin in Kissimmee still has no electrical power since 11pm on 10/9. Some branches down and leaves, but thank God no major damage.
It was interesting to watch vlogs of Florida residents who very matter of factly described how the storm would weaken at landfall while the media obsessed on the fact it was a Cat 5.
So glad your both OK...and minimal damage ..... the bag for emergency is great idea .... even here in UK homes should have something like that incase of power cuts or storm damage due to lightening on electrics ..... might look into one Barry ..... glad your both OK and was safe ❤
So happy you are both safe , a drone would be useful now to check your roof , hopefully no damage or not too much damage, stew looked yummy to be fair xxx
A really informative vlog, good for you not milking the event unlike some grifters in the space (clue one of them lives in Tenerife) Max’s Stew looked ace 👍
Aren't they thin and tiny , ours are so heavy here Aren't they ? I'm glad you're both ok and made it through sending best wishes from chilly UK 🇬🇧 I'll subscribe to follow you both as such a lovely couple
Yes they are called shingles , tar coated material. You don’t want heavy objects flying around in a state known for hurricanes. They typically last about 20 years before they have to be replaced
Yes that makes sense that's what I was thinking ,can't have heavy tiles falling ouch 😢 glad you're both safe and nice to see you caring and cleaning up
My dad was in the pool business and you definitely do not want to take any water out of the pool. They’re designed to be full, by taking water out of the pool can damage the pool because of the pressure I just now saw your video they are designed to hold water to the very tip top and they will automatically drain. The water will reside back to normal level👍
@@ThemeParkBazza oh that’s too bad about your friends. Pool I’m glad taken out a few inches prevented flooding on your pool. That’s great Barry. Glad this storm is behind us.👍👍
I bet you can charge through the roof as a roofer in Orlando after an event like this, pardon the pun. Have you got a drone to video the roof and have a closer look? Loads look to have come off, was roof fitted correctly, or are they all like that?
We too were fortunate Barry, our home off the 192, on Calabria, suffered 2 pool screen panels blown out and 1 tree blown over and thankfully it fell into the lake. Happy to hear you were fortunate too. Tony.
So glad everyone is ok saying a little prayer for the people on the coast
Thanks
