Where I was in school, I remember seeing the the following Starters the most: Raiders, Bulls, Bengals, Hoyas, Hornets, Cowboys, Packers, Pistons, LA Kings. Raiders and Bulls were the absolute top of the pole. HAVING a Starter got you into the club, having a Raiders or Bulls Starter made you leader of the club. With Air Jordans or Pumps, forget it. And Girbaud jeans…and Zubaz. Lol
Starter Jackets were so good. I live in europe and was a teenager in the 90s. Loved the hiphop videos und was so fascinated, it wasn't all available like today. Miss those times in a way. I remember my chicago bears jacket from my brothers homeboy
The Magic ones were huge. The style and colors looked great, and the team in general was just extremely popular... Sometimes I see old pictures of Shaq or Penny in their old Magic or Eastern Conference gear and just wonder how today's jerseys and sports apparel got to be so boring today.
Back in my days my first starter jacket was the Chicago Bulls Parka in 1993 then 2 years later the Miami Hurricanes Pullover jacket i sport it til i graduate from high school in '97
I wish I hung on to all my old clothes. I hoping to rebuy this 2pac shirt I originally bought shorty after his death, and the only ones available were in bad shape and going for hundreds of dollars... Who even knows how much a Bulls starter jacket from before 1996 and in good condition would cost.. Way too much to own for nostalgia alone, at least

Starter jackets now are straight trash! Nowhere near the quality like the 80s and 90s.
