    Fantastic! Finally a practical alternative to tying on bands. A Scout is on my Christmas list this year. :-)

      The screw they use doesn't have typical screw threads. May be hard to find a wingnut replacement.

    What about shooting through the forks? It looked like you could just turn the piece that holds the band on?

    used these using this method and it snapped and hit me across the face, use the tuck and tie method, it should be safer that way
    each one was tightened the same each way and one gave out. the tightness was the same, same as the band going as far as possible so it would NOT slip out.

    Personally I wouldn't use these, And I think £8 is far to much for a couple of bits of plastic and 2 self tapping screws , 10 minutes in the shed and you could easily make something similar yourself.
