...that Red frame is tempting.....😍
I love the Flip Clip, it makes banding my Scout that much easier. I say it is a must have for anyone that owns a Scout.
I just received the Scout from an amazon gift card purchase. Reviewed the flipclip video's, "very well done and informative". I guess all that's left is to go have fun. Beautiful slingshot.
Flippinout Scout is the hottest slingshot on the market. I love those flip[clips}.
There should be a design award for this slingshot! Will never buy another Chinese slingshot - there're not bad, but these are so much better.
Thanks for the video. Received a Scout for Christmas but your video showed me I had the flat bands oriented wrong. Now I know to put the edge that goes to the top of the pouch towards the inside of the forks.
107s and smaller office rubber work great with the scout and flip clips as well!
Wow, I searched far and wide for how to attach a single tube with the flip clip. I think you mention that it can be done in the Scout LT videos, but only show the looped tube installation. I was assuming you would do it like a flat band, and just push it under the clip until it hit the screw. Fortunately, I finally stumbled on this video before my Scout LT arrived. Would be good to show this in a more recent video as well, unless I somehow missed it in the recent ones I have been watching. So now I know to loop the end of the single tube around the screw and back up, much like the looped tubes (makes sense now). And if I ever fit really large (Wrist Rocket-type) tubes, I'll just go through the holes and plug them with a ball bearing.
Have you guys considered replacing the phillips screws with a cam lock? That way, no tools are needed and band changes would take seconds.
Thanks for sharing
Most informative, Thank you
Hey I bought trumark heavy pull tubes can I loop them or should I use steal balls and what size should the balls be.
Perhaps a stupid question, but is the aiming point different with the bands set for shooting over the forks?
have you thought about using flathead screws so it could be adjusted with a penny?
You have a survivalist mind. :)
there was a add to win a free scout sling shot i my password was some how changed and by the time i did it again it said it was invalid
Are slingshots legal to own in Montana? And if so are they legal to hunt small game with?
Which way do you personally like to band the Scout?
do they ever slip??
You should make a bb shooter and bands for it
👍👍👍
Do the flipclips work in the same fork tip for OTF and TTF just turning them 90 degrees? Because according to the manual they must be used either in one fork or the other for each configuration, but they don´t seem too different to me, really.
Thanks.
Take a closer look and you will see that they are indeed quite different. The Right clip in the OTT configuration becomes the Left clip in the TTF and vice versa. The difference is small, but indeed different.
Wait wait wait, what? Please re-explain what you just said.
I'm getting a ton of fork hits with bigger ammo and destroyed a clip. Not sure where my technique is lacking, shooting glass marbles my son had bigger than 3/8"
reso1349 Try twisting the pouch ninety degrees and make certain the projectile is centered in the pouch.
Thats a awsome slingshot! whats it called?
The Scout slingshot check it out here: www.simple-shot.com/products/the-scout-2
Are flip clips compatible with the Harespliter slingshot
FlipClips are made specifically for the Scout slingshot
Will the flip clips support the diameter of thera tube bands?
No, not effectively.
they have a new clip real heavey i have the best
Are they as acurate as the expensive ones
Lane Loesch Accuracy comes from the shooter, not the slingshot. Yes, this slingshot is capable of more accuracy than imaginable!
I've got to get me one! Does it come in pine green?
Black, black, or.... black
I bought a Chief AJ Black tube band for my Scout. How do I install a tube band? It's a single tube. Not looped like the band in this video
You would do best by running the tube through the hole in the Scout and plugging it with a 5/16" steel ball. Those tubes are far too thick to safely work with the FlipClips.
SimpleShot Shooting Sports thank you. I did exactly that and it is all set. Perfect.
where can i buy the one holding at the end of the video or the black rubber with red forks ??
+Mohamad Taha That color was discontinued a few years ago.
oh okay thanks anyway
You look so different with the beard!!!
What bands do you prefer
Flatbands. But quality tubular rubber is equally potent
+SimpleShot Shooting Sports so what type of flat bands do you prefer
This would seem informative if you would only take the time to explain what the difference is between all these band options. Why choose one over the other? What is the pull poundage of each choice? How heavy can you go? What one holds up the longest? Is there a standard? Which one is the best? Where do I purchase these?
While on the subject; is there a disadvantage to having a wrist support? When would you not want one and why? Chocking up on the slingshot and holding it with your hand very close to the yolk looks like you are courting danger; is there a chance of hitting your own hand with either the shot or the band?
This video was only for showing the different methods of attachment with the clips. See our SimpleShot shooting sports channel for detailed videos on the properties of the different materials.
