Love , love Al Green! Since the late 60’s he has ruled the soul charts ! When Al’s dad moved the family to Michigan, guess what Al discovered … music that moved him and wasn’t gospel, hid dad kicked him out for singing Motown music! Then Al wandered around & got a small band going & a music man heard Al’s voice and told him I can make you a star! That was what happened and the ladies went crazy & the guys tried to sing like Al💓💎💥. ‘ How can You Mend A Broken Heart’ is another fantastic song written by the BeeGees & produced in 1971 & Then in 1972 Mr. Al Green made this a very big hit. Al has been a Pastor in Memphis since leaving the big cities, I would love to hear the music coming out of his church 🤗. For a real treat find The Kennedy Center Awards that honours Al Green - it is fantastic 💎💥💙
I saw the Reverend Al Green in '05 at the Telluride Blues & Brews. Al was handing out red carnations to all the pretty ladies in the front row. He did not disappoint.
@@TeezMcGee those and "Misty" "It's Not For Me To Say" and "Too Much Too Little Too Late" with Deniece Williams. Chances Are is probably his biggest hit.
I recommend "Marvin Gaye What's Going On Live 1972", especially cause you haven't done any Marvin yet. legendary video and song in the same vein of Love and Happiness
I had a friend.. his uncle would always pick us up in a cadillac.. always in a suit.. hair combed back dark glasses.. and al green. Every time we were in that cadillac school was in session.. we never asked him what he did.. lol
Yeeaasss.... Al Green & Sam Cooke my 2 faves of that era; I believe Etta covered this one. What's next? Why, I do believe some Lou Rawls'....you'll never find...🎶

I'm bed dancing. :)
One of the first cars I ever owned had nothing but AM radio and I always had WVON AM and this song was always on. Loved it then and still.

How about Johnny Mathis, do you know his music? He was always a favorite of mine too.
Haven’t heard of him yet, I don’t believe we’ve reacted, gotta check him out

Definitely What's Going On. I'd say studio version for a first time, though.

The album this is from is "I'm still in love with you" one of my stranded on a desert island albums. Pick any song from that album and react to it.
The live version is even better.
Trumpet and/or coronet
I feel like I got a brain tuba
TREE again.
React to Pebbo Bryson's "Feel the Fire"
I feel like I'm hearing trumpets and saxophones. Some low saxophones...
Maybe a bassoon?
Do some Al Wilson "Show and Tell"
