Thanks for your feedback!
I brought back some of the behaviors from SWAT 4 because this game feels like a successor to the SWAT series and I wanted to pay homage to it. I am hoping in the future, Ready or Not may gravitate away from the trained operatives back to more fearful suspects.
Or at the very least, they set up Swat CQB and Trained AI as two different type of game modes with a difficulty system. My mod pack was meant to simulate the different play styles.

From what I can tell from first mintue of footage, hesitation time shoud be shorter if they're all gonna hesitate at their first encounter. And should be more chance to them running and finding cover just like SWAT 4 was.
@@garlic1521 You will see that happen from time to time, and the suspects won't stand there each encounter either. It's completely dependent on the situation, the suspect's stress level at the time of engagement, and the type of AI archetype model you are dealing with during the mission.

I met FigTree in a random RoN discord VC once and played with him for a bit back way before the 1.0 release, we played with it enabled and that was how I found out about the mod. He's a pretty cool guy!
Indeed thats how I met him and found the AI mod also. He had me do some testing with his AI mod for his 1.0 release and it was so fun. Hes an amazing guy that helped me with figuring out mods for RoN and knowing what conflicted with what and so on.

I tried this AI mod for coop edition. And of the first laval we have 15 suspects! That was insane XD

Doesn't feel realistic enough if suspect AI just standing there and eventually pull up a gun. This might look real at first but this just makes it a repetitive behavior and easier to anticipate after a few rounds. I'm not saying its the modders fault in this, but this is the cause of the base game AI limitations. If only the devs can develop some sort of a "working" stress mechanic for civillian and supect AI that triggers their certain behavior based on their stress levels and based on how chaotic gunfights are happening in the room. This can give more of a dynamic environment when dealing with suspects and civis.
When Stress levels are low suspects and civies should behave more static and resistant or submissive at times. When stress are high, suspect AI should trigger certain decisions weather to be in a state of aggression, fleeing/panic, suicidal, take hostage. When a suspect is in high stress levels and in a state of fleeing/panic, suicidal, take hostage. There should be like a hidden mini game where you need to calm that suspect down by lowering its stress level by not shooting/nading, giving distance, and shouting out constant demands until surrender. This makes the pace of game slower and builds up tension for players. If only offworld prioritizes working on AI behaviors instead of police station and broken RPG elements.

I understand your concern with the AI Behavior, however, the AI Suspect will actually do what you mentioned before relating to the Stress System. If the Suspect sees you they won't always just stand there and eventually pull up a gun. It may have happened in this demonstration a few times, but the AI's behavior is very unpredictable when you are shouting at them for compliance. VOID Interactive has already developed a full stress system that is not configured the best right now, but give the game a little more time and I am certain it will get there.
The only way to really experience how the realism works with Roleplay Tactical is to test out the mod for yourself to get the best demonstration. I would highly recommend at least giving it a try and as with any game, it cannot be 100% realistic the entire time because games will be games in the end.

@@gexcartman12 hey thanks for giving time to reply i actually been a long time user of your ai mod before these recent updates. Im a fan of your ai mod and the other guy who made the no crack ai. But im just a bit disappointed with the limitations of how the base ai behaves.
I was expecting RON to have this psychological tension between you and the suspect in a barricaded or hostage situation. I hoped for a scenario where you have an option to ease out the tensions between you and the suspect depending on your actions. I hoped for suspects to hide and flee more and give demands to build more of a psychological tension and randomness. Im just not feeling this way when playing RON, it always felt like a shoot to kill scenario in the end. Not saying i hate the game, i just want to see and experience it in its full potential, and i hope devs would prioritize to bring more work and study how suspects/civies behave in these situations

@@Splinter07 They react to flashlights, but don't make any audible noise usually, so you aren't alerted they saw the flashlight.

Is there a reason you don’t tend to ‘point shoot’ (canted aiming) that often? I find it very helpful when room clearing, looking through the optic tends to leave too much in my blind spot. The center of the flashlight beam is a good approximation for where your shots will go, I usually only aim through the optic when it’s a more difficult or longer range shot.

0:48 no offense, but this isn't realistic really. Suspect had the upper hand - he saw the flashlight and knew someone was about to peak out. That's one of the rare moments where the ai should start shooting, even through the doorframe

I agree. It's unrealistic. The terrorist is standing with a weapon ready to shoot, but does nothing. Another stands and takes no action, even though they were supposed to do action in the same second. Are they blind or deaf? The only suitable episode is when the weapon is unexpectedly dropped without waiting for anything..

can you combine the single player tactical mod with the role play mod or will i run into issues? or will the single player tactical generally have the suspects act the same way as the roleplay mod? i tend to play alone with ai.
Edit: I found on this roleplayer mod on medium difficulty plus on the single player version (mods tested and installed separately) that all the suspect ai would just run to my position almost right away. most missions i start i end up arresting or shooting like 4 or more suspects in the first hallway or room i go in. kinda takes away from the breaching and clearing rooms tactically and the immersion of it. any ideas? i installed them through nexus vortex and verified the files were in the ready or not folder

I'm the author of the mod and read your report. I tried testing this myself, but I couldn't replicate the problem. I would check that you aren't using any other type of AI Mod that could be causing a conflict. To answer your original question, you can only have 1 AI mod in your Paks folder or enabled through Vortex at any given time. The game's file points to the same mount point, so there's no way to run multiple AI mods at once.

The end AI is great. Because that’s the full protocol for police if suspects do what they are suppose to do.

For me when I play on safe mode they are pretty hesitant it takes them a second to make up their mind

even after hesitating for a while, the enemies still seem to be super high trained soldiers with an impressive draw time as well as super impressive aim.

I would highly recommend starting out on the Easy mode if you want the most immersive experience with cowardice suspects. Otherwise, the custom AI Mod I made for Official Invictus is similar to Roleplay Tactical Medium difficulty.

That's alright, but "cinematic" is NOT "realistic".
Having most of them hesitate on you actually makes it boringly easy.
The game depicts a dystopic near future in which criminals will not only fight to the death, but also most of them will be obligated to. How do you think the cartel will treat one of their own who surrenders easily? He may live to be arrested, but he'll surely be destroyed in prison or somewhere else asap.
That's the hard and ugly reality the USA is slowly walking towards, as much as ppl who play this game don't want to believe or admit it.
But, to each their own. This is only a game.
Remember the border scene on the first Sicario movie. The narco-terrorists were all sitting ducks there. And nevertheless they attacked. Not ONE left the scene alive.

Yes thats what the game's description is all about, "a morally bankrupt city", and it reflects the criminal behaviour in the game, tho i admit that the criminals do behave a little to precise if they decide to go fight, a bit too accurate and crazy reflex

How r yall getting stable fps i legit can't play with these fps drops
Since 1.0? I have huge fps issues with DX11, none with DX12. I also have the game on a M2, maybe it helps.

@@daninavi5238I have the same issue, valley of the dolls for example my FPS can drop to 17 FPS
It did get a bit better since hotfix #3 but it still runs bad for me specially on big maps. I guess we'll have to wait for another hotfix

Everyone who is experiencing STUTTERS which is most people. Disable “ReBar” in bios….also knows as C.A.M. If I’m not mistaken. Eliminated ALL my stutters…..thank me later
What is that setting supposed to do normally? Anything important? Or can it just be turned off and not affect anything negatively
@@investinjahcoin5029 supposed to make gaming smoother and give more fps but for ready or not and some other games it does the opposite unfortunately…..didn’t effect my other games but got rid of the stutters in RoN
"have been making progress and it is getting better" you sound like bidens press secretary 😂 all jokes aside the game still has numerous bugs and lacks in replayability, relying pretty heavily on mods to make it an enjoyable experience. having that been said, its still one of if not the best tactical pve games out there.
i don't recommend this mod. the AI one in this video is awful. i downloaded it and tried it so i can try to complete Sins of the father. And the AI was still killing me through walls. So this obviously don't work. Waste of time and not worth a second glance. So i would advise you all to not download this AI mod
Do you not realize that ai can wall bang and they probably saw your feet or some part of your operator the a hole in the wall or if it’s a door your behind it’s very common for ai to do that and it’s realistic
