I keep coming back to this song and clip - have been doing so for 15 years ever since I first heard it as an intern in Perth Australia. Saw them at Glastonbury 2011. Tonight, it’s 9pm, patients to see, I’m in the break room, sneaking Vegemite on toast and taking a few minutes to catch my breath. Thanks National. And thanks to whoever made this clip. Heart and soul.
The only band that has ever truly captivated me entirely had been The War On Drugs. A good friend introduced me to The National and now I can say that I have two bands that genuinely influence my soul during my journeys.
I'm actually glad they are a little underrated... Most bands these days grow into these "fake empire" mainstream puddles who end up playing "money" concerts to people who refuse to expand their musical minds
Loved The National years ago, kinda forgot about them till the man I love shared a mixed cd with me and this was on there. What a freaking fabulous song, it's on repeat.
I saw them in MSG August 2023 and Cleveland September 2024. They ended both regular sets with this song and I LOVE how intense they make the ending live
I really love the rhythm layering in this song. When you have 4 parts going on the whole, the half, the triplet, and the quarter later in the song it’s dope.

I really love the National, one of the best modern indie rock bands around, rather underrated in my opinion. Singer's voice is truly amazing

My wife made me a mix tape when we were dating. There's nothing quite like getting a mix from someone you care about

Pretty sure it's a fan made video
It's been in a few shows. Person Of Interest comes to mind.
Good morning it is also played during the end of one of the episodes of the TV show Chuck.
Thanks for your time.
