Great video! Last year, I made a list of goals I wanted to achieve by the end of the year, but it didn’t go as planned hahaha. I lost focus, procrastinated... Anyway! One tip I can give to those who want to stick to their goals is to remove distractions completely: phone, TH-cam, politics... Try to anticipate what might go wrong along the way and prepare for it. Another thing is to make your task-related habits as simple and easy as possible. For example, I stopped listening to music while working because if I didn’t like the song, I lost focus. Now, I play lo-fi that lasts for hours, and it doesn’t distract me. It may seem like a small change, but if you do several of these over time, the results are worth it! 🇧🇷
Right on man. Great tips. I found myself achieving some years and some not. But having a sense of purpose and somewhat of a roadmap has always been helpful no matter what. Great tips too, distractions can be. You know. Very distracting. Keep it up
Thank you! I feel like the worst enemy of mine is laziness. This really built me up and I intend to follow a plan created based on this short lecture. Thank you once again and a Happy New Year.
Thanks for sharing this knowledge, this is just what I needed for this year. I want to improve my figure sculpting skills (anatomy, gesture, proportions), so I'm, going to plan my own milestones with your template.
Great advice. Often times, a lot of my mentees don't know how to get from where they are to where they want to be. Breaking down large leaps to very small steps and focusing on 'showing up' vs hitting a hard deadline is the easiest way to build momentum and start moving towards that ultimate goal. Discipline is earned through making small commitments over time.
Your videos are really what I needed. I am sculpting daily again and having fun again. This Video is perfect. I am planning my 2025 right now. Thanks man and keep inspiring!!
Glauco thank you very much for this video. Very useful. It's nice to see how you have returned to the internet to share your knowledge and help those of us who are learning. Obrigado!!!
The almighty algorithm brought me here... Nice place to be. As far as my concerned: I'm trying to elevate my 3D environment art / design skills and trying to find my "texturing style". In the long run I'm trying to get a job in the industry as a professional after graduating University with a Bachelor's Degree.
Always with amazing tips. I'll start to use this tool today hahah. One thing that I also do is to add negative goals, things that I absolute don't want to do(base on what I see other people experiencing) and sometimes are also things that I didn't want to do and I also did in the past, so its a asbolute: no. it helps to not go to the wrong direction.
Man, this is exactly what I needed now, I'm pushing forward my career but not sure where but I want to improve my skills and is something that I was not sure how to do, thank you for your way to see this, really helpfull
Great video Glauco! My goal this year is to land my first 3D job, even if it's just a small freelance project. I really want to focus more of my time on this.
Fala Glauco, muito obrigado pelas dicas, nestes ultimos tempos tenho sentido bastante dificuldade em traçar meus planos e colocá-los em pratica, acho que isso vai me ajudar bastante, com certeza vou usar.
It feels like it’s too late for me to pursue a job using my art at 42 I would be cool if I could. I will use a plan like this to zero in on some skills that need work. Never really studied anything or broke anything down to improve. I’m just consistent at sculpt.
Super usefull and inspiring to take action, thanks Glauco!! pls do more videos likes this I would really love to get deep into the concept of momentum. Have you got any good readings? Today I´ve just pick up my new auto-gift The Creative Act: A Way of Being by Rick Rubin^^
My goal is to work in sony santa monica as a character artist… will you mentor me to achieve that… please…. I am closely following you and raf.. will mentor me to reach my goal…

Definitely not too late. Several artists started on their 40’s, including our brazilian friend Kris Costa if you are curious, google him out. Antropus
