I’ve been living in Cascais-Estoril for 54 years… since I was born. Great place to live. Love it. ❤

Wow, intersting to hear. Has it not become quite overrun with tourists? to me in just a decade it feels like a major increase... but maybe it's just me. Super curious to hear more about a local's perspective on life there.

@@RafaelDiFuria The locals aren’t restricted to those areas. We know many other places that tourist can’t even imagine that exist. Including beaches, restaurants, pubs, gardens, shops, and many other types of places inside Cascais-Estoril. But we also go out to places around Lisbon that are off urban areas, and into rural areas, such as wine regions with restaurants in the middle of the vines, or places known only through word-of-mouth. Takes a local to be able to find the hidden gems.

interesting video...I had considered staying out here for a few nights but based on this video I think it is not quite the "charming" place I imagined. I think I will continue to look for a spot on the coast with dramatic views and easy access from Lisbon. If you have a suggestion please let me know. Thank you so much for taking the time to show us around. It really is so much better than reading about a place.

Even though I wouldn’t want to live there, it is a place I can say is worth checking out for a visit. It’s pleasant… but if you’re looking for a “cute getaway” then that could be tricky…

Thank you for showing us around Portugal. I would love to visit this winter whe4n temperatures are cooling down in London. Would you recommend Lisbon for a first timer, or perhaps Algarve for the weather? Thanks a lot again and all the best.

Great video! Where is the train station in Lisbon? How far when I get off the train in Cascais do I need to walk to get to the main beach 🏝? Is it dangerous to take the train back to Lisbon around 10 pm or would it be best to take an Uber back to my hotel in Lisbon?

Certainly an upmarket lifestyle. We've been to Cascais and Estoril many times... Good place to walk between both places... good place for an English breakfast, but I wouldn't want to live there! As soon as the Irish pubs move in... we'll move out!

Unfortunately no, before going on this trip I wasn’t aware of it. But it’s on my list for the next time I go to that part of the country 😁

Wow...are there any beaches in the area there that are bigger and not right in the city? Just surprised at how pupular it is with such tiny beaches and right in the middle of the city. Not my idea of a beach town...but I grew up in NJ...
