A review of sorts for the newly released battle royale: Rumbleverse. Generally my thoughts on what makes the game unique and sets it apart from most other battle royales like Fortnite, H1Z1, DayZ, to name a few. Game is super fun for the first weekend. When you're a noob learning the basics it feels great. But after you learned the rules, you get frustrated because they change every game. Attack priority and tracking dont work properly and feels like an RNG shitshow

Yea that’s the point, they even tell you in the hints that it doesn’t track wherever your character is facing it attacks off direction. So yea you just suck at the game, they meant to do this on purpose to make it more accurate.
@Simeon Lindsay no you literal are trash. You have to know how to read frames. You are probably tryna to use tackles at the wrong time. Your timing is off. I used to be mad at the tracking then I realized I was garbage and now I barely miss tackles. Also you have to take in to account PING

I really hope that this game gets more traction, it is super fun. I've been trying to subtley convince my friends to download it for some time, but I guess "a battle royale by Epic Games" makes them automatically think of Fortnite cringe and makes them reluctant.

This game is fun but the servers are complete TRASH. 90% of the games you’ll lose will be because your perfectly executed attack or punish completely missed and the enemies attack that completely missed somehow hits.
Fuck I feel this I just lost to get this not hitting someone with Diamond Breaker after I block their drop kick, they somehow dodge I also get opponents who I clearly grab but for some reason auto break out. Like you get them mid air and then suddenly nope back to the ground where you started.
I think console players see things faster then pc cause I feel like these mfs can instantly dodge out of any move and spear tackle the millisecond I touch block

What happened to me was the game straight up freezing and booting me to the home screen on xbox. No idea why or how but it’s happened more than once.

Rumbleverse can be equally enjoyable and infuriating for me. The net code and priority system issues can drive me nuts. Especially at the higher skills levels. Certain abilities like Javelin tackle and vicious mist are broken. Luckily the dev announced a mid season update coming soon. When a game is based on skill though, the net code and priority issues will anger you deeply.

It would be a nice "rock-paper-scissors" aspect if dodging wasn't an unneeded monkey wrench thrown into the mix to screw it all up. Now, nothing beats guarding. Rock Paper Scissors and a fking Hand Grenade.
I really enjoy this game and have played upwards of 20 rounds, I've gotta say the main issue is the game's map could use a little updating. The combat feels very responsive and the combos that are possible are very rewarding.
Gotta say though they have got to explain priorities better/explain the mechanics behind the homing because players don't understand sometimes that the sprinting and rapid movement cause grabs to have slight movement
The games hit box sucks tho
Id say my top update choices:
-Nerf javlin tackle target assist range/start speed (by the time i see the red circle im already grabbed compared to other attacks)
- make the zone a bit bigger (as in access to more of the map)
- gold silver and wood boxes need to have guaranteed items
(- gold: 1 purple 1 food 2 random)
(-silver: 1 blue 1 food 1 random)
(-wood: 1 green 1 random)
Bro, you're going to call Zangief's Spinning Piledriver the Primary Lotus when the Izuna Drop is already in the game and it's 1:1 the Primary Lotus?
Glad someone is talking about to but with my experience with the game this issue has been the biggest negative and is why right now it’s a hard okay game it’s fun and has a lot of potential so her to hoping they iron out the issues

There are other purely skill based battle royales out there. Namely Fornite (yes I know) due to the building wars, and the entirety of Bloodhunt. If you don't master the movement controls, clan/archetype powers of your vampire, as well as knowing what types of blood to feed on you'll be dead before you can say "fuck".
As much as I personally love Rumbleverse I don't see it surviving for long, due to the learning curve for casuals. Like it or not, casual playability decides whether a multiplayer game lives or dies so I don't see Rumbleverse gaining much of an audience. Especially with the netcode problems and inconsistent attack priorities.

i like rumbleverse ngl even in this state i can tell developers put hella effort into the game and its quite refreshing imo
At 5:50 im prety sure you get grabbed because of the runing.
When you run you get increased folowing range what make you easyer to hit. You roll avay. Started to run then he do the grab atack and because of the sprinting he get a litle bonus range on you.
Honestly there are some worse examples. That was just one I happened to find quickly when editing, but you’re right. Dodging is more effective.

I played this game for weeks and came to the conclusion it's actually very very broken and if you're not close to their server it's horrid. I actually hate this game just because of the robberies that take place. I even stay in game to watch some people just always have that connection advantage and it's disgusting. Has almost 0 to do with skill. Most wins in solos go to someone with meditative and sedastic. The game has netcode issues that should have been ironed out before launch. It had so much potential. I have fibe 1.5gb up and down and still if I want to win a fight I have to use omega cyclone as it's the only thing that is forgiving for the connection issues as it usually overrides most attacks. But that's not fun. I got bored so fast of being stuck to specific abilities because of netcode issues and connection issues. Game is a mess
Hey, I just wanted to reach out for a correction on your video statement about drop kick vs super grab. The drop kick, according to the chart, should NOT beat the super grab. Drop kicks are POWER priority, which you can see in the chart in game, that you placed on screen, is below the SUPER. I think you may have gotten confused a bit, but yea, the super should win in that situation in particular.
I put a disclaimer about how the super should beat the drop kick, but I just meant that if the drop kick was initiated before the super, but because of some weird janky stuff server side, the super gets initiated before the drop kick.

@@thatguybis1997 My biggest problem is not move priority appearing wrong (which as is explained by the reddit post, 90% of the time you still would have lost if the connection was good), but the insane tracking on some vicious moves. Rollback does make reacting to vicious moves harder if the startup gets eaten by the rollback, and when you combine that with crazy distance traveled + perfect tracking, sometimes super viciouses are unreactable. And those are the hardest hitting moves in the game so it's common to straight up lose instantly because of it.

I think what this game needs is more space. Bigger map, bigger circle. This can also help with a squads mode. This can make the game so much more enjoyable so when you just land you don’t die right off the bat.

I can't stand this game right now. The priority system doesn't work at all. Why can people dodge me after I blocked their drop kick? That's BS isn't a stamina thing or what? Cause I can't figure it out. Like I block the drop kick and people still dodge can someone please tell me wtf I'm doing wrong? Cause it's lag or this game is fucking bullshit.
You must hit your dash button with any attack if you want it to come out quicker.
play it since 2 days 24 hours a day :D its a long long time ago that i enjoy a BR so much. then reason that you dont need some aim, is realy helpfull for me :D

They really need to increase the amount of chicken because u can go the first two rings without finding any being stuck on low health then get gang banged by 4 people and u cant do shit about it they need to fix this shit or make meditate the first perk u get

Rumbleverse has a Attack Priority system in a 3D Fighter and Multivers doesn’t in 2D fighter…
I think this game has potential, but it's only ok right now. Height doesn't really change how you fight, only 1 style of fighting style, limited combo potential, environments lack visual variety, weapons feel like they don't matter. I want to like it more, but right now there's too many issues for me to keep playing, even if I do well.
I agree the game has great potential but with all its flaws it’s so hard to actually enjoy playing sometimes and I wished they slowed the Revive speed
Game is full of sweaty people like casual gaming doesn’t exist anymore i join a lobby and im being chased all around from the start of the match because i picked up a red pot game is not casual friendly what so ever

Tbh if you seem weak people will chase you down. If you can fend people off then they leave you alone early on.

Multi and Rumbleverse both I played for a bit, but I ended up stopping.
Not a fan of Multiverses fighting style and Rumbleverse has some *_serious_* connection issues.

ANNOYING PROBLEM NOBODY IS TALKING ABOUT!!!! In duos notice when your teammate is doing a basic 3 hit strike combo and the enemy is holding block, you will not pull off any grabs during this time. I have had multiple occasions where my teammate was punching, I come in for a vicious grab while the enemy is CLEARLY blocking!!!! AND you get a broken glass noise que, BUT NOTHING HAPPENS!!!!! The sound lets you know something should have happened, but nothing does. IDK man seems like the devs don't want me to be great man. Has anyone else noticed this problem?

Super moves beat everything, it literally says it on the chart, so yeah your drop kick loses to super. The problem with the game is you not knowing priority lol

Your number one complaint with Rumbleverse is that the internet is not 100 percent real-time basically. They basically have 2 choices.
1. Only cater to people with the best internet. If you have any extra input lag (wifi or shared internet which MOST people will) then you get a terrible experience because the server will take what the person on the faster internet over yours instead of waiting for your move.
2. Do what it does now where if someone does actually do a move that beats you but their internet is worse than close to real-time (most internet) then the server will roll back a second and play it out how it is.
I think the biggest problem is when the rollback happens you feel as if you have been cheated. When you did your move on the other person's screen, they countered it perfectly. Their internet just was not able to tell the server that it happened fast enough. Does the server just ignore it and make the one with slower internet feel like his input didn't work?
This is not a situation of "just fix the net code" this is them having to figure out what direction they want to be in fundamentally.
I have great internet. Would I love the game to cater to me and make no games allow rollbacks so I can never see them? Sure! But then 90-93 percent of the audience will have the worst experience and quit rather than just occasional rollback situations.
I personally think they just need to be more forward about these rollbacks. Maybe make it more evident with some kind of icon that it happened and some information on the screen letting the person know that the player did in fact counter it just was not sent fast enough for you to see it in real-time.
