Autism and sleepless nights. Abigail doesn't pull all nighters often but when she does she goes hard! Hours upon hours of autistic stimming, yelling, and very manic behavior. It's heartbreaking as a parent that I can't help her to calm down.

You guys are so lucky to have each other on nights like that. When my 9 year old son has those nights, it is just me, lots of deep breaths, and you are right...love.

I very recently discovered your channel and I've been pretty much binge watching. From the pieces of your lives that you share, I'm amazed at your family's dedication to helping Abbie--the love that you all share with each other. I feel like there are so few parents who put that kind of work into helping their children and their marriages. I adore Abbie, especially when she smiles! She's a beautiful young lady! I have a couple of random questions the first is, how does Abbie communicate that she is feeling sick? And how have you communicated to her about the difference between good touch and bad touch if God forbid that were to occur? Thank you so much. ❤️

Hey guys! I understand that my son wakes up at random times and he can be up for hours, and I agree about going everything for the love you feel for your kids!
When you guys were trying to vlog in the car with the sunlight......LOL and then Priscilla....at the end when you were pumping the tire talking about your booty and then you said "happy fall y'all" ....I literally spit my drink out laughing so hard!
Hi Maass family, I was watching the story on a nonverbal autistic girl name Carly Fleischmann and came across you guys channel! I’ve already subscribed and binge watched every video you guys posted so far! I love how much love and patience you guys pour into Abbie! I’ve been around a few parents that aren’t as patient and loving with their special needs kids like you guys are so this is a real treasure and joy! Keep loving her and allowing her to be herself because maybe one day, like Carly Fleischmann, she may break through as well! She still doesn’t speak of course but she’s able to communicate through typing. You never know what the future may hold for baby girl! Keep fighting and never give up! Love you guys already! I have a 9 month old that still doesn't sleep through the night. Not the same but I feel your pain of not getting a full night sleep it definitely sucks.

I cried a bit at the beginning. I know the feeling of having an amazing support system in family, and I am so beyond glad you all have that as well. I don’t have autism, I just have severe depression and anxiety, but I honestly would not have gotten through my teenage years without my parents and siblings surrounding me and doing little acts of kindness for me. Isaiah making Priscilla coffee in the morning is so freakin’ awesome. You guys are amazing. I knew next to nothing about autism when I stumbled upon your channel, and you’ve taught me so much through all the laughter and tears!! I am a nanny, and while I almost always work with neurotypical children, occasionally I will work with kiddos who have mild to moderate autism. I’m always trying to learn more so I can be better equipped to care for those children even just for a couple hours! So thank you so so so much for your videos, your positivity, and your senses of humor! I LOVE seeing new videos up on your channel😊❤️

I was so angry at the beginning of the video. I said...how dare he wake her up because he couldn't take it anymore and he had to go to work. My heart knew you use to go hang out all night and go to work all day. I was relieved to hear your friend helped you put things in perspective! Men are not built like women. I'm glad I found this one. My autism.....it takes a toll on me and my brain and it causes sleeping issues. I mean, I'm 26 and its been hard for a few years! Luckily I have my boyfriend to help me who's pulled all nighters for me, and has helped me fall asleep when I need it. Our brains get sleepy! They work harder than most!

I wish I knew then what I know now. Your friend is so right. When I was young I used to stay up all night for some of the dumbest reasons, then when I had to do it with my daughter I complained. Nobody should ever complain about staying up for love. There is no better reason.

My son has asd and he had a hard time last night. I think it happens when he’s over stimulated. Everything happened at once, he was introduced to a new vehicle, he had to get a test at the doctors for whooping cough and he had a Christmas party at school. Took 2 hours to get him to sleep and woke up numerous times. I’m so glad my mom lives with us so she can help when my husbands at work.

Oh guys ❤️. None of my baby's have autism but they've all gone thru bouts of sleep issues. The worst was our oldest. Right before he turned two he went thru some serious sleep issues at night. Every single night for a solid month he would scream all night. Every time we'd get him to sleep and try to sneak out it would start all over again. It was so rough! Of course we worked through it and now he's our best sleeper. I can tell you though that I thought I was gonna go absolutely nuts. My husband and I definitely leaned on each other a lot that month to get thru!!!
Im so sorry that you guys had a rough night the other night.... Luckiky I dont get to experience those unless if I had a really bad leg cramp and then I cant go to sleep.
My ASD baby is 4 and just started with struggling to with sleep. She used to sleep 12 hours a night. 12 hours! She took a 3 hour nap today though.
