I remember watching a documentary on the murder of Angie Dodge. In her case a man who was innocent was convicted of her murder and sent to prison. Angie’s mother ended up believing in the man and helped to have him released. I was impressed with the mom and how hard she fought to find the TRUTH. She made a statement that stuck with me …. She said ,” I don’t want SOMEBODY to pay for killing my daughter, I want the person who killed her to pay for it !”
I think I’m so many cases the police and even the victim’s families just want somebody, anybody to be convicted, rather than searching for truth.
    Great work Dr Grande.

This happens so often. Apparently AD ignore the Constitution where it says you are presumed innocent until proving you are guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Everyone in this needs to know that.

Even if you look at real behavioural experts, the number one thing I hear from the credible ones is “we can *not* tell you that they’re lying, only that there’s signs of stress that could be indicative of deception.”
I’ve heard something to that effect countless times. The ones who actually know what they’re doing know how to spot when something changes in a long conversation and dig into it, even the best can’t watch someone make a single statement or pair of statements and do anything better than guess at the credibility. And even with the best evidence it’s a game of probabilities not an exact science.

It does sort of seem suspicious that the mother's reaction was for the brother to shoot somebody before they knew that Holly was in serious danger. Getting the gun and confronting the person would have been the thing to do but instead they stay in the house and the mother orders the sun to Grabagun it all does snack of them knowing that they are at risk. For example and of course I have no idea whether it's true but for example if they were in the drug business and they were always worried about being double-crossed or being accused of cheating someone's Orab someone desperate coming to the house demanding free drugs or anything else. When you're engaged in major crime and a lot of money changes hands you're always at risk to die suddenly or have to kill somebody suddenly to save yourself. And that would explain the delay and the discussion and the not involving 911 right away and the mothers leave leaping to that conclusion. It would all seem as though they were worried about someone else in the drug business being hostile and endangering Holly for that reason. And they might have thought that the reason someone would argue with Holly and be confrontational was if they thought that Holly knew enough for someone to confront her and that there was someone who would confront her over something important such as drug money. Whereas if you know there's nothing like that happening and you're not at all sure that's her boyfriend and her boyfriend has just called the house to say I'm turkey hunting and is it okay then you might be much more likely to lead to the conclusion that there is a strange mail in your house who is confronting your daughter who sounds very upset. That's a 911 or at least go out there with a gun and confront the stranger to run him off. And yes the stranger might pull a gun but if it were my sister and I had a gun I would take that chance. And I think no matter how groggy you are as soon as you realize that your sister's life may be in danger you snap to it pretty quickly. And if you don't and your mother says that that's the case your mother shakes your teeth out or grabs the gun herself if they give a damn and they don't have a reason to think that the retaliation will put their own lives in danger even if they run the stranger off. Something stinks. I do think that the loan man Terry Britt probably did the job and all this other stuff is the reason why she wasn't saved and he wasn't caught. I don't think small town law enforcement is at all necessarily lazy or crooked or incompetent. But if there are a lot of undercurrents in the community where everyone knows who's into cooking meth and who's buying and distributing then they may be afraid to speak up. And small town law enforcement are by definition part of a small army of Law enforcers and have every reason to be scared of the local meth cartel. And that may be why they were anxious to put someone away and not to threaten anyone they thought might have actually done it. That's what happens in a small town. It is a tiny Nation onto itself and Justice in Mexico if the drug cartels bigger than law enforcement and law enforcement cooperate and keep their mouths shut. Likewise if the richest person in town is molesting his daughter and everybody keeps quiet and cooperate because in a tiny environment like that someone who was extremely influential and Wealthy Michael be a dictator in many ways. At the least, a celebrity

Where’s all the physical evidence that the police should have collected? If there was a palm print then there should have been DNA evidence at the site and probably also on the body and the items that the killer discarded. In this day and age we should demand good physical evidence or good reasons why it couldn’t be obtained.
As for confessions, they really shouldn’t be accepted by courts if they haven’t been made in the presence of a lawyer acting for the suspect. There’s just too long a history of olive pressuring suspects or just simply verballing them.

Wow. I’m glad I came across this. I have not heard any of these details and just thought these two were guilty. Unbelievable. Being a true crime fan, I’m astonished at the amount of people in law enforcement and the judicial system that are absolutely content with putting people that may be innocent away for life while letting a killer walk free just to have a case “solved”. That being said, I don’t know if these guys are guilty or not, definitely leaning towards not now but a jury did convict them. So that tells you how well jury’s work. They really go on their feelings. I would opt for a bench trial if I were ever accused of a crime I didn’t commit.

The testimony of Jason Autry convicted Zachary Adams. In it, he claimed Holly's brother was, "learning to make meth the morning she was taken..." which is why this man was at the home. He said she nagged her brother over this, and then she was killed...Smh. Are we to believe that Adams murdered Bobo, but refuse to believe the meth making part? Important to note that the non-profit group Without Warning investigated this case after being asked by the Bobo family due to the TBI not having any suspects or evidence. Without Warning learned that TBI agents were obsessed with one suspect to the point of ignoring other potential suspects and not even investigating the alibis of these potential suspects (Austin/Adams/Autry).
TBI began harassing Without Warning and even demanded all of their files and evidence despite being offered all of it previously by the non profit group.
At the top of their suspect list was Adams/Austin/Autry.

Hi, to whom is your last sentence referring, @PaulDoe79 ? Thank you. Edit: to clarify, did you mean those three men (Adams, Austin and Autry) were TBI's suspects or were they the suspects of the Without Warning organization?

    • @PaulDoe79
      @PaulDoe79 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@americatruecrime hey wasn't directed at anyone in specific, just people interested in this case.
Without Warning had Autry/Adams/Austin at the top of their list of suspects. They were the ones who learned that TBI hadn't bothered to investigate their alibis properly because they were hyper focused on Terry Britt.
I believe Without Warning launched a lawsuit against TBI for their treatment. They weren't being paid and were asked by the Bobo family for assistance because nothing was getting done. And they were always offering their evidence to TBI so when they were suddenly the target of search warrants and had their computers and files confiscated they were confused.
I'll try to find the video link of the news interview done with the Without Warning group.

@@PaulDoe79 I didn't think you were directing anything towards anyone, I was just asking about who had the suspects on their suspect list first. Thank you for the reply. @timweb1510 I think Autry is a pathological liar who will say anything to help himself.
Let's say he lied in court... this shows he was willing to put his own friend, an innocent man, in prison.
But forget Autry. Austin, before killing himself, was also working with law enforcement in exchange for immunity. He told them the same thing Autry said in his testimony. Austin was supposed to lead law enforcement to Holly's remains and when he didn't (or couldn't due to Adams moving the remains) the immunity agreement was null and void.

Any LEO involved in this case should be ashamed of themselves. Also, if it's proven they lied or coarsed ppl to get this conviction, they should get the exact sentence.

There should be a law that for murder cases, a police department should be of a certain size to conduct investigations. I don't know if any of these people had anything to do. But I know Holly deserves justice.

Why murder anyone? Really??? It’s messy…so much work. Oh and how about the getting caught part. I’m not sure that it’s possible to dislike anyone enough to end their life… it’s so final… killers obviously don’t consider that they might feel differently with time

I'm still amazed that people talk to the police.
We need laws to protect us, from them! And further laws that prosecute police who do not conduct good and proper investigations. Once police were given blanket immunity, no matter what they do or don't do - we all became less safe. The amount of unsolved crimes, improper investigations and false confessions is so high, that they are actually ineffective.

We do have laws, statutes, and precedence. Many people just don't educate themselves because it seems like something they would never need.
And officers don't have blanket immunity. They just don't have much oversight, and what oversight they do have is generally concerned with corruption, discipline, and overreach. Poor job performance is generally not top priority for Internal Affairs or the FBI.

It seems odd to me that the boyfriend, who literally called her that morning saying he was going hunting and was initially thought to be the perpetrator by the main witness (the brother), was then dismissed as a possibility.
Add one element to that story: "boyfriend thought that Holly was being unfaithful", then you might have a more common story.
As well, are we to assume that the cops in this case were just coercive and manipulative for no reason. They had no motivation of a more personal nature?
I would look for an amiable connection between the boyfriend and police officers. If things went that wrong, it seems like someone had something to gain, or to preserve, more than getting some drug dealers locked up.

They said they didn’t have enough evidence to charge terry britt, after he said that she would be “perfect” for a guy like him. But the serial liar Jason autry made a bs story to get a reduced sentence and that’s what they go with? Feel bad for that poor girl.

I had considered that these dudes only knew of Holly because of they knew her brother.. They war getting interested in her and sharing drugs with her brother and they invited her to join them and she declined.. She was mad at them for sharing drugs with her brother and they thought she was going to rat on them and they exibited an expression of "evil as a syndrome".. sociapathis syndrome

    # 1He Britt didn't say he was installing a tub. The tub had just been unloaded that when the police pulled up behind him and his wife. #2 I didn't hear the store owner testify to not having a copy of receipt for the tub. The prosecutor led jurors to believe that. I didn't hear he was ever charged with stalking. I pretty much quit listening after this.

Can you do an episode on Larry Hall?
I'm watching Black Bird on Apple TV and find Larry's personality to be utterly terrifying, but also interesting and I can't put my finger on it.
After the episodes aired, I did my own research and had nightmares all night about it. I watch true crime docs and podcasts all the time; this is the 1st time I had any nightmares about a serial killer. I didn't find much on TH-cam other than a cpl documentaries on him.
