When my gym closed due to COVID I started building my home gym and today it has the following. A Total Gym 14000, Core Fitness Adjustable Dumbell, two 25lbs, and two 30lbs kettlebells, a set of Dip Bars, a set of resistance bands, and an adjustable bench. Due to being a cyclist (putting in a few hundred miles a month) and what have in my garage with my home gym, I find I have everything needed to keep in shape. I'm 55 and understand motion is lotion and strength training is key to keep me moving. Thanks again for your channel, always enjoy the content and sold information. Keep up the good work.
I love that you use a variety of equipment as I've always done this also. Resistance bands, suspension trainer etc. with any sliding bench trainer and I know you can accomplish anything. Great video as usual.
Thank Serge. I think you'll like it. I at least thought it was a good workout (and don't always think that of my "follow - along" workouts. But again everyone is different.
@@hybridresistance I just tried it out and I loved it. I got a great pump and different sensation going back/forth from bands/TG/dumbbells. I personally like any of your follow along workouts. You've already done the work for me at that point. I modify whatever I need to fit my needs, but the template is there. That's a HUGE bonus. Sometimes I even change the speed of the video if I want to change the tempo. It makes the audio pretty funny so that's another bonus. Thanks again for sharing.
Just got my resistance bands for my Apex G3 and it is next level for sure, amazing results versus Total Gym alone. Thanks again for all the expertise and tips.
thats my thing mike,im always including dumbells, barbells, bands in with my t.g.workout,yesterday i did chest,1 barbell press,tg cable press and wide band flys, supersets are like heaven to the muscle,i find that variety build muscle fast because of the change up,today for legs ill be 1 belt squating 2 t.g.hacks 3 t.g hamstrings curls.just like when mike use his vertical leg press,it compliment the t.g.hacks for mass,by the next week u can just maintain with all t.g.movements for legs.good one mike 🫡
That is exactly like my total gym it's just called something different. Pinnacle. It does work just fine for over a year now, 300 pounds is the weight limit and I'm a 210 so still leaves some room to add weight.
I love the chest press on the TG. I am a female over 60 but I was able to greatly increase my strength this way and now do full body pushups. I lift the tower to the max and do 6-8 reps. Close to failure. To make it harder I lift my feet completely off the floor. I rest for a few seconds and pump out a few more. Rinse and repeat. To make TG harder without bands or plates, do unilateral. Only my husband knows my secret. Everyone else thinks I lost body fat by keto or some other silly unsustainable diet.
I was thinking of buying the total gym here in Australia and I came across your workout videos which are awesome. Watched a bunch of your workouts Going to now place an order. Thank you. Do you have other social media accounts?
Thank you so much for the positive comment. Unfortunately no, this is all I've got. I find I have a hard enough time keeping up responding to comments and emails as it is.
Hello I just got a total Gym I am 56 how do I start off for someone my age I use to play hockey but had a heart attack my docs gave me the ok to workout again is there a begginers program you have I can watch thank you
Hi Silvio. I'd recommend checking out my "beginner" playlist th-cam.com/play/PLUiiIHn087rEndI1CYZyosZSIsXfF3EfZ.html and going through some videos that might be of help. I do have a "free" programs on my website you can check out if you subscribe from there. Also, I have a "Programs" playlist as well. th-cam.com/play/PLUiiIHn087rHuybOpqq2XASCie3tuGXFP.html I think this video is the most simplistic th-cam.com/video/m5w4Gq0iIkE/w-d-xo.html
Yes, but I'd say the size has more to do with my diet / training than the machine. Last summer I was down 10lbs I believe and I think a little more defined, but I was also dieting down a bit. Right now I'm still just coasting on my fall weight. It's really no different than any other resistance tool just limited on the your ability, use, and creativity on the machine. But it certainly has weak points (legs) as well.

Love this comment John! That is a solid set up right there and defiantly one that fit most people's needs / goals.

Definitely Lou, with all that equipment there’s so many options for interesting workouts

Thanks for that feedback Terry!
Mik, another great video. Love the Hybrid approach to integrating all your equipment. Mixing it up keeps us on our toes.

Good one mike man. You just motivated me to get back on the total gym. Me and my wife were in cancun for a week and working out was not on my mind.😅
Man I'm jealous, sounds like a awesome trip. You're fully recovered to get after the TG!

Have you gained any size from the total gym? Or do you use it to maintain what you have?
Yes, but I'd say the size has more to do with my diet / training than the machine. Last summer I was down 10lbs I believe and I think a little more defined, but I was also dieting down a bit. Right now I'm still just coasting on my fall weight. It's really no different than any other resistance tool just limited on the your ability, use, and creativity on the machine. have you ever done sandbag training? it got kind of popular during covid because of how cheap sandbags are to make
Yes I have, but it was years ago. I also use to love just using my heavy bag for a bunch of stuff. That would be another cool tool to pick back up.
Sorry, I just noticed that someone posted yesterday about the TG Apex G3 being on sale for $299.00. Well, as you see they still have some left!
Great to know! I actually must have missed that of it being on sale. Right now I'm showing it's the usual price on amazon.
