Hey great car collection!!! 👍Excellent review comparison of the sanders...I think I will try the 12 volt since I doing quite a bit of drywall and window sanding these days since I am renovating part of my flat and the lightness would be very welcome for long vertical sanding jobs.

Thanks for doing this comparison. This is exactly the video I was looking for, because I was trying to decide between the 18v and 12v. 👍

i still cant decide between the 12v and the 18v i work mostly vertical and above my head
saw someone complaining that the 12v battery got hot during use do you also have that problem?
any problems with the 12v in run times?

They both will generate a little heat but nothing that I feel is abnormal as the tool is running for a decent amount of time. You will have no problems with the runtime on the 12v if you use the 6.0. I personally like the 18v better because there is less plastic, but they are both good sanders.

@@TeamDIYNow yes but i am worried about the weight and balance with the 6AH battery.
someone said in a review the only reasaon why bosch made the 18v aluminium on the front is for balance otherwise it will always tip over when you set it down.
same reviewer that said the 12V battery gets hot after 5/6mins of sanding.
most of my work is standing on a ladder sanding vertical and above my head.
the 18V is 50% more weight.
i am thinking of the 12v with 3ah battery.
also the price is about the same thats also a reason why i cannot decide, because of the Bosch 18V battery deal
18v with 5x 4AH batterys about the same price as 12V with 4x 3AH battery.
just bought a house and everything is wood.
sorry for all the questions but this is the only english review all are german.

@@bamboelaa Yea the 18v lineup is usually cheaper especially around the holidays as you can get the battery and charger for free. With that said, you're correct the 12v is going to be lighter and has nearly identical performance to the 18v if weight is your biggest deciding factor. The 3ah would be a good middle road to the larger 6ah battery if going with the 12v, but if you're going to be sanding a lot I would still prefer the 6ah. The heat isn't an issue, I wouldn't worry about as every tool generates a little heat after running for a period of time.
