Oh come on, how did Batman and Joker survive that explosion! Especially Joker, he was practically next to the bomb, the writers really just won't let him die.
The purple suit he bought it from Spawn in when he stole Spawn's money in "The Dark Knight" movie and Spawn can't be killed. Now Spawn can't get a nickel for his grandma.
Jason survived the explosion here, Batman just didn't want to remove the memorial in the cave because the Jason he once knew was dead and now the memorial serves as a reminder of how he failed him.
When Jason died, and I'm talking about when he was Robin, my feels were thrown out the window and onto the grass where the gardeners ran them over with freaking lawnmowers.
DiMaggio's Joker laugh at the end is so chilling. Shame he doesn't get opportunities to voice Joker more often since Hamill is retiring after the Killing Joke movie.
+gorrow1990 I have to admit its weird not hearing Hamill in this, but I have to admit DiMaggio's is in some ways very similar to Ledger's and it fits in this movie.
"No, don't spoil it this better, I'm the only one who's getting what he wants tonight, yes, bin, bang, boom we all go out together, don't you just love a happy ending" lol
This scene is emotional and badass but my problem with it... #totally in affective explosive.... I mean a whole floor is blown to rubble and yet they're all virtually unscathed
Now that Mark Hamill has retired his role as the voice of the Joker. I would like this guy to do it from now on. I know he is not Mark Hamill or got his legendary laugh. But lets admit he did a damn good job in this film. Hands up if you agree.
Dick was the first Robin. He became Robin in "Detective Comics #38: Robin The Boy Wonder" which came out in April, in the year of 1940, then it was Jason, whose first appearence was in "Batman #357: Squid" which came out March of 1983, but didn't become Robin until "Batman #366: The Joker is Wild" in December 1983. You're right about Tim Drake (Also known as Tim Wayne for some reason) being the third which happens in "Batman #442 of December 1989. If you don't believe me, you can look it up.
Plus he was the one who was laying very close to the bomb, and people ridiculously think he's immortal which he's not he's just cheating death, like i've never seen actual series where Joker kept coming back after being killed, the only thing i saw even though it wasn't the original Joker, Joker camed back, plus he tries to turn people like him as bunch of random Joker reincarnations
@@leonduncan3327 remember that time gordon shot joker in the head with pump action shotgun and blew half his head off. ah good times.. but if that's not immortal what is..
the thing you have to remember is...the joker is batman's opposite, like he said he would love to kill joker, and yet he cant because it would be like batman harming himself.
but, you got to remember an earlier line (those who have only watched this video, look up Batman vs. Robin under the red hood and see that video), when Batmen mentions he knows what happened, Jason replies, "Oh, got around to talking to Ra's, right? Does it make it easier for you to think that that dip into his little pool turned me rabid? Or maybe this is the real me?" (paraphrased). He's admitting that maybe his personality right now is what he really was like, and that he was crazy all along.
No! Don't spoil it, this is better! I'm the only one who's going to get what he wants tonight! Yes! Bing-Bang-Boom! We all go out together! Don't you just love a happy ending? 0:12
thedoctor101fez still though. Jason survived a ruthless crowbar beating and managed to smile after, he also managed to reach the door despite the agonising pain he was in. I think that he could be able to survive.
That is why the war against crime will never be over for Batman. His refusal to kill his enemies puts all of Gotham's citizens in danger and they will all hate him for that just like Red Hood does. Batman isn't helping anyone nor will he have a normal life if he keeps letting his enemies live.
If you think about it a bit, Joker was a necessity for batman. In the sense that he greatly contributed to his growth and development as one of the greatest heroes in DC. Not saying he helped make our superman boxer here, but I'm not not saying he did.
@Whatisright In the Batman Beyond cartoon, it is revealed that robin killed the joker when he was still batman's kid sidekick, but as we see here, it's years after that time period and the joker's still alive
The technical term is Joker Immunity; it is applicible to any characters that consitantly survive impossible-to-escape death scenarios with barely a scratch, due to them being fan-favorites and, usually, the hero's nemesis.
@Babsobabs383 actually when batman said that if he'll go down to that place and he'll never come back, he was actually referring to killing. Batman is trying to say that if he goes down to Joker's level, he will never stop killing because it would be too easy to do that to stop crime. And you're right about how Batman should not kill the joker, but its also because he doesn't want to be like the thug that killed his parents.
@Kwenspi yea but its not like Joker specifically said "Put a bomb so we can all go out together" because remember Joker was like "O WAIT don't spoil it this is better" that kind of implies that Joker was surprised
@UdontKnowMr The Joker loves chaos, and one thing that causes chaos is pressure and dread. A timer is pressuring, and what's more dreadful than the scenario Batman's in? A instant blast would be too simple, even for the joker. He'd want his victims to have fear, and a dark realization that they were about to die: to allow them to reveal their true nature at the end; to become monsters; to become him. It's disturbing when one thinks about it, but then, I doubt we were meant to. In short: Chaos.
@xxmatt4444xx the movie is based of the comic book, in it the red hood returns much later after his assumed death, he even takes on the persona od Red robin for a time, and fights the other robins for the title of batman when bruce 'dies'.
So the Joker was lying directly in front of a bomb that blew apart the concrete supports of a building and left everything in rubble... Yet not only is his body intact, he's still alive? Human flesh would have been practically vaporized at that proximity.
@UdontKnowMr I'm sure Jason's original plan wasn't to commit suicide. He left some time so he could escape. The plan was to force Batman to shoot Joker. Then activate the bomb with 20 seconds to escape. More than enough time for him and Batman to get out.
Jason is not dead because then he later makes his rebel gang with star fire and red arrow. Its in the comics. This is the best batman comic movie so far.
@UdontKnowMr Good point! But then again, the intro of this movie would not have been more dramatic without the emphasized ticking sound before Jason's death right?
@Malthizar No they can't, they are only supposed to shoot if absolutely necessarily and they can get in trouble for unwarranted shooting or police brutality. Batman fears that if he kills Joker he will be tempted to kill others, even if they don't deserve it. Then he becomes a villain. Ever thought of that. Lockup is an example of a vigilante who kills and maims villains even for the most minor things, and he is a villain. Batman doesn't want to be like that.
Jason Todd was really the only possible person Red X could of been short of making a new character from scratch. All the training of Batman+ Poor (but not evil) moral compase=Jason Todd.
@Babsobabs383 I thinks it's more that he doesn't want to stoop to their levels and never take the easy way out, which means simply kill them, but I agree with you
@MrHero17 @JChowIsAwesome The poster, and as super dawge says, he used the table as a shield. futhermore, Joker was RIGHT IN FRONT of the bomb, yet he hasn't exploded to bits an pieces. Hell, he's JUST fine....just under a whole lot of collapsed ceilings. Me thinks he is alive and well~
In the extremely old, Golden-Age (I think) comics, yes. More recently, though, it has been retconned and retold that it was Ra's that ressurected Todd from the dead. Which, given the darker and edgier nature of the newer DC comics, works much better.
"NO! Dont spoil it, this is better!" DAMN Joker's voice actor is GOOD.
You can thank John DiMaggio for his performance. 🙂
Oh come on, how did Batman and Joker survive that explosion! Especially Joker, he was practically next to the bomb, the writers really just won't let him die.
***** Joker has Plot Armor. Nothing can beat Plot Armor, not even a bomb.
and in new52 he's immortal he has water from lazrus pit running into his spines.
The purple suit he bought it from Spawn in when he stole Spawn's money in "The Dark Knight" movie and Spawn can't be killed. Now Spawn can't get a nickel for his grandma.
awesometacular Jason tood and batman won so that's a tie 👔 and that was my last blow up movie mission for red hood
@@TheArtofUTubeNow joker got a nickel shoved up his ass, and he liked it
If the Joker survived there is no way Jason didn't
Jason did
+Rodney Christopher You're right. Batman trained him. Jason is quick, smart and skilled, so Jason released himself from batman's grip and escaped.
Young Justice: Cartoon Network, I forgive you for canceling me. But why on god's earth is he (Teen titans go) still on air
Demon God at least a reboot of the original series. Not this white wash jokes piece of shit
Demon God Agreed
The_InfamousOne Well, I like Teen Titans Go
Well someone a kid
Supersonicstella, *cough* loser.

+Rahil Dhodapkare He is not talking about what we just saw. When he was ROBIN.
+TehTertle That's a nice profile pic.
in the comics jason lives and becomes an unofficial member of the "bat-family" along with batgirl robin nightwing red robin and batman
MysticalGreenBeanie so that means Jason finally gets his happy ending!?😢
DiMaggio's Joker laugh at the end is so chilling.

DiMaggio is a worthy successor to Hamill. I like his Joker's voice. Makes the Joker sound much more sinister deeper voice.
"It's sad, isn't it? You do all this for Gotham and the only person you can rely on is... me."
-Mr. J
And Joker survived that. I'm starting to think it's not so much Bruce WON'T kill Joker, it's that he CAN'T.
"No, don't spoil it this better, I'm the only one who's getting what he wants tonight, yes, bin, bang, boom we all go out together, don't you just love a happy ending" lol
This scene gives me chills because it mirrors the way Jason 'died' the first time...the bomb, the rubble, and they even played the same music. Wow. 8D
That Joker laugh was epic
This scene is emotional and badass but my problem with it... #totally in affective explosive.... I mean a whole floor is blown to rubble and yet they're all virtually unscathed
+OyislyItsFred and why was it at 20 seconds 3 seconds would make more sense
Because it's batman, duh
Depending on what that explosive was made of, there was enough of it to level a city block or three, so that's a small explosion by comparison.
I love how when batman miles then rock and finds Joker he starts laughing like "ha gotcha."
Now that Mark Hamill has retired his role as the voice of the Joker. I would like this guy to do it from now on. I know he is not Mark Hamill or got his legendary laugh. But lets admit he did a damn good job in this film.

I don't understand how the joker survived when batman didn't help him. It's stupid.
it's the prun juice
Plus he was the one who was laying very close to the bomb, and people ridiculously think he's immortal which he's not he's just cheating death, like i've never seen actual series where Joker kept coming back after being killed, the only thing i saw even though it wasn't the original Joker, Joker camed back, plus he tries to turn people like him as bunch of random Joker reincarnations
It's a little thing called Plot Armor.
Plot armor!
@@leonduncan3327 remember that time gordon shot joker in the head with pump action shotgun and blew half his head off. ah good times.. but if that's not immortal what is..

knew he sounded like jake from adventure time
The "Dont spoil it this is better" as he throws batman to the ground is genuinely so funny
So...this clip is added in Death of the Family movie. Okay.
He may not be as good as Mark Hamill, but he was damn close!

WHERES JASON!?! HE BETTER NOT HAVE DIED!!! oh HOD DAMMIT!!! HE WAS MY FAV
He actually survived.
thegameplay ness I saw the movie, I didn't see him survive o-o Was there something after the credits bc I didn't watch after the credits xD
Brianna Rodriguez In actual comic continuity he survived. It didn't show it in the film though
+thegameplay ness Well GOD DAMMIT I know Damians my fav now BUT JASON STILL MA 2nd FAV :(
@@elizabethxxxawsome he survived dude if he died his body would be there common sense.
how could that be a shield to protect from a bomb like THAT?!
well the joker was completely unprotected and he was fine.
well the joker doesn't feel pain or anything like that. Jason could have died of the pain
thedoctor101fez still though. Jason survived a ruthless crowbar beating and managed to smile after, he also managed to reach the door despite the agonising pain he was in. I think that he could be able to survive.
hm, yeah. ok i guess . it is in jason's nature now to run away and not tell batman he is alive
thedoctor101fez he was too confused and cocerned with revenge. Or perhaps like most batman villains, he has a flair for drama and suspense.
For everyone who thinks Jason died, he didn't please read a comic book. I recommend Red hood: lost days, red hood and the outlaws or batman eternal
He died from a bomb, and now he ends it with the same device that took his life.
I see all the different batman cartoon writers didn't stick to the logic from each other's stories
*After an explosion*
Injured human: AAAAaaaaaaaaaaagh!
Injured Joker: He he he hee hee hee he...
People usually don't die from explosion itself; it's the shrapnel created by the shockwave that causes it most of the time.
i know rite, and also in one episode Beast Boy showed a diagram of different possibly of one of which is Jason Todd (episode is called 'X')
''somedays you just cant get rid of a bomb''
Dont you just love a happy ending???
Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb...

In comics and the movies based on them I'm pretty sure if you don't see a body, it's often safe to assume the character is still alive.

Batman saves him and the Joker. Jason goes to Blackgate instead of Arkham as he is declared legally sane.
A better more sadder ending would have been Batman saved Joker instead and let Todd die.
@evilemperordude Even when you confirm the corpse, it's possible the bastard will come back sooner or later, depending on how popular he/she is.
