Tbh I really don't understand what you didn't like about the controls. They work totally fine. Besides I really wouldn't consider Kameo to be a platformer because you're not really jumping gaps ever. Nor do you jump at all. I see mario galaxy or banjo kazooie as a platformer but not Kameo.
So basically, Kameo isn't a terrible game, it has value, but it would really shine if people made a sequel and learned from their mistakes. Make a better control scheme (face buttons are jump, 2 attacks, and then something like interact button) the unused D pad is for switching forms and/or any potions, and that leaves the shoulder buttons open for something else. Naturally get some up to date graphics, and rethink the writing. Make it longer, and have less boss battles that require wonky controls or unfair physics.
For someone who 100%ed this game a few years ago, I can tell you that the score does have a use in unlocking achievements and content. Very great game! With a lot of potential.
It's really disappointing that Rare isn't used very well by Microsoft. I mean, think about all of the innovations and creativity Rare could've brought to the table with the original Xbox. The original Xbox had the best specs of the 6th generation, a 8 gigabyte hard drive, and even had online services. Why in god's name didn't Microsoft let Rare use these advantages to great use?

Rare games have always been overhyped. Like GoldenEye and Perfect Dark. They were still a fantastic company and even kind of lived up to the hype. I bet they would still be great if it weren't for Microsoft. They're like a creative barrier. Nuts & Bolts showed that Rare still have their good old sense of humor. And the game itself would have probably turned out way different. I'm only speculating here of course.

Kameo is a good game, not very impressive graphics for an X-BOX 360, looked more like a game for the original X-BOX but the gameplay was good and I still play it today.

I can answer that for you. Most capture cards have 2 HDMI ports. One going in (which connects from the console to the capture card) and another going out (goes from the capture card to the TV) So you will need 2 HDMI cables. (Most of the time, the capture cards comes with 1 HDMI cable so you only need one more) It's also a smart idea to get a capture card that can encode the recorded video itself so your computer won't waste its resources doing that and you are less likely to get a glitchy recording. I recommend the Hauppauge HD PVR Rocket because you don't even need a computer to power it up. You can use a USB stick to save your videos and it comes with USB power cords to power up the capture card using the console's USB ports. PS: The PS3 can't be recorded with HDMI because it has a copy protector that prevents any capture device from being recorded via HDMI. You will have to use Component cables instead. The PVR does have component cable input for the PS3 so you dont have to worry about that.
