The leap in technology is really awesome and it’s so great to see otherwise “bootleg” vids with such clarity! Hope you all had a fabulous time at the shows! The Cure is not just a band, it’s a way of life.❤
Its such a satisfying song, like it just fits sooo well together (ik 99.9% of cure songs do) but like i love it sm. that and fascination street imo are some of they’re ‘funnest’ songs, along with like cockatoos. One of my favs

C'est sûr ;-) Aujourd'hui les artistes gagnent leur vie en faisant des concerts , vu que les CD se vendent beaucoup moins... :( C'est un avantage mais aussi un inconvénient, car pour que ce soit rentable, ce sont des grosses salles ou stades où on ne voit rien du tout et où le son est pourri, alors qu'avant aller au concert était un régal! (les Zenith, palais des sports, Bataclan, Olympia etc...)

Thank you for posting this! I love these tracks. To me they're not "deep cuts", they're just songs I grew up with that I love. And you don't get to hear them at their concerts because casual fans haven't heard them. It's a tremendous privilege when The Cure comes to town. Unfortunately the other shoe drops when you get there and it's mostly a greatest hits collection. You get a few super meaningful ones here and there, but it's never like this. They have so much wonderful material, some songs are gonna end up on the shelf. I wish they world release another album like Paris! This is the next best thing.

I've seen The Cure twice now, and though I would pay to see them play anything, I would adore to one day see them perform a setlist filled with lesser played ones. Funeral Party is a big favourite of mine, and it would hit me so hard if I heard them perform it in person 🥰

what are you talking about? they just went on a huge tour last year where they played tons of album tracks and b-sides they haven't played in decades, not to mention this compilation here is an example of how they've been playing rarer tracks since 2011.
They're more likely to play a great setlist at their own shows, less likely at festivals though saying that they played Just One Kiss at Leeds festival when I was there.
When I saw them in the 2016 tour, they played a lot of surprises from the Top and Head on the Door as well as some of the better tracks from Wild Mood Swings. 2019 they played mostly singles because they were playing only at festivals.
This is a flashback to mid 80's, and the strugle with existence and me. Back then these songs meant indeed some kind of cure for me, against loneliness , desperation and demanding parents. Thnx Robert Smith and the lot...

Thumbs way, way up! I was blessed to see them The Cure at the Beacon Theatre in NYC for the 2011 Reflections tour & it was breath taking for fans looking to see/hear songs that are rarely played live by the band. Also, the line up changed based on what was being performed (original members played)! What a treat. This compilation video is awesome. Thank you very much for sharing this.
How did I miss them doing Fight? I knew every other one of these- obviously the big ones like 2 Late, Burn, A Man Inside My Mouth, Stop Dead and all that, but I completely missed them ever playing Fight beyond 1987. That said, aside from the rare b-sides, I'd love to see Wailing Wall. That's one of those songs that I could never imagine them launching into, but if they did I'd lose my mind.
