He was a kind gentle man. Very smart, too smart to be enlisted, really. Joseph, I just want to say I'm sorry I never got to say goodbye. I'm so proud of your service. RIP, my friend.

My construction teacher served for 6 years in the Army starting in 2006. He was deployed in Kuwait, Iraq, and Israel. He rarely ever tells us stories but has joked to us several times however, saying if we don't act right his PTSD will kick in, and that carrying 4 1x6 boards is nothing compared to crawling up a mountain with 80 lbs of gear and a rifle. He has told us that his job was assuring radio connections and coordinates were recieved well. He once said that he saw the aftermath of a Humvee hitting a landmine, the rest of the crew was okay except for the driver which was "obliterated" according to him. He also told us that he was stationed at a prison where they would put Iraqis in a box and leave them out in the desert for 6 hours if they broke rules. He said to a Marine recruiter that the reason why he left was because he was given the oppurtunity to become a Army Ranger but they couldn't find his paperwork in the system, so he left at the end of Operation: Enduring Freedom in 2012. He is rightfully patriotic and a great teacher and is a key reason for my plans to be a Soldier like him!

I was stationed Fort Carson a few decades ago. Brought back some memories.
As an Iraqi myself who lived in Iraq for more than 25 years, through several wars (including 2003-2007), a lot of his items that he claims to be Iraqi are actually Afghani (those little girl outfits caused me to cringe so hard). And that cartoony sword haha.
Many clothing items (civilian and military) are a bit off, and almost all the Iraqi flags are incorrect, and many of these pictures are simply taken out of the internet, so nothing special about them.

I think the pictures of the dead insurgents was a little much. But other than that this is the best war museum ive ever seen, with a beutiful range of objects on display. It really is amazing.

When I saw the rpg it reminded me of one time someone shot one at us but my friend shot him in the shoulder. It made him shoot at the ground. The rocket skid towards us and stopped a few feet from us and didn't blow up lol. Good times.

I had the same shit happen to me. During a battle an Iraqi shot a RPG at my buddy and I. The round landed directly in between us. It didn’t blow up, it bounced and hit a mud wall behind us and blew up.
