Blue Islands ATR-42 Review SOU-JER

- Today we will be flying from Southampton airport on the south coast of the UK to Jersey airport in the Channel Islands on a Blue Island ATR-42 that is operated by Flybe.
This will be part one of two videos about Flybe and the Channel Islands, You can stay tuned for next weeks video where we will be diving into the more political side of Flybe and their financial troubles over the past few years. As well as that we will also be taking the Q400 back from Jersey to Southampton but that will all be coming this time next week.

in America there is a bit of thaw but i think most of the reason why there aren't as much flights in the UK is because of the passing of FlyBe. i live in the united states so i don't know.

Where the old Jersey Airlines plane is parked used to be a private aviation company called Aviation Beauport. You could take a bus from the terminal into the town centre, but if I remember well, it goes around all the housing estates and takes forever...beautiful views of the island though
Really sweet trip report! I really enjoyed it! Great music choices! That 30 year old ATR42 looked pretty nice for the age! I would be been very anxious if I wouldn’t have had data and looking for aircraft! Leaving me very excited/anxious for the next video to continue this journey!
Thanks mate, yeh I was surprised about how good it looked as well, perhaps it had a retrofit and yeh true, luckily I made it back fine tho
jersey does have 4G as i use it all the time consdering i work at the airport, G-ISLH is currently not in the island as its gone for maintenance somewhere in Europe. In the mornings after 9 the airport does go a bit quite as usually thats when the south flight and LCY arrive in the hour of 9 then it goes quite for a couple of hours. Blue islands is its own company and was franchised by flybe, blue islands still operates SOU, LCY, GSY and now that are doing a couple if new routes from jersey to EXT and BHX and have been doing EMA

I walked the perimeter of Jersey Airport last week, it took 2 hours. it was worth it.

I have been on the same aircraft but a different kind of company the company name is Bahamas air🇧🇸 It’s really nice and cool you should try it!

The Bahamas is known as the prettiest waters in the whole world take British airways down to there 777 200 ER from London direct flight
My closest Airfield/Airport/Airstrip is London Ashford Llyd.

There is an bowling alley and food place 5 min walk away from the airport it’s £5 for 2 games and you have loads of arcade machines and fun things to do there aswell, I’m guessing the plane you saw was an old jersey airways plane, funny story as the company started around the 70’s and then Flybe bought the company in around the 90’s or 2000’s. There’s not much to do in jersey now as a lot of the touristy places are closing down and we have lost a few known fun places, the best places to see in my opinion is the 5 mile road for the beaches, hospitality and food with restaurants and also there is a golf course there, town was a pretty good spot back in the day but there’s not much now for tourists, gorey is a very good place for tourists as well as all the castles such as mont orgueil castle, Elizabeth castle and st Aubins fort, hope this helps when you next fly over 😁

Thanks and theres not a huge variety for phones but I would suggest imovie, Your best bet however is to get a Laptop with Either Final cut or Premier and Thanks man
