That's something that I really don't like, Sonic Forces model is good, there's nothing wrong.

The Next Sonic game has to have a modern sonic model that looks like unleashed and generations with unleashed shaders.
Sonic Forces shaders is better then Unleashed's shaders

@@farraelll7288 just because its an updated engine doesn't make it better. Look up "Sonic Unleashed shaders in Sonic generations" and you'll see it looks better in a green hill stage.

The engine 2 is the same as the first one but improved,technically Sonic forces is the best looking game EVER MADE (from sonic games), even though the art direction makes the game look worse

@@farraelll7288 Forces' lighting doesn't mesh well with certain times of day though. Hedgehog engine in unleashed has light fx that radiate while Hedgehog engine 2 is to see everything clearer no matter how dark the shadows are or how light a light source shines. Hedgehog engine 1 was tailor made for "sunny day around the world" lighting, while engine 2 is for clearer vision for easy, simpler play.
What about animations?

Blue blur is the best! I convinced Roger and Jason's voice with that mod and it sounds SO WHOLESOME like two sides of the same coin lol

Sonic forces without a doubt had the worst modern sonic model. I never understood why he was light blue in that game, considering that’s usually classic Sonic’s color.
And his quils are shorter
@@sammyjaohnson5631 yeah I know, but lost world had that too, but sonic In that game was a dark blue, and it just made the shorter quills look better. And no, the comment doesn’t mean lost world had the worst model, because that game had a better model because sonic was light blue.

There is a mod for Sonic Generations that changes Modern Sonic’s physics to his Sonic Unleashed physics.

There is no improving the Unleashed model becuase it's already perfect the way it is.
You know what? ... Hot take, but I think 06's environments look fine, it's just the godawful Sonic model that makes everything look off. When you inject that modern model and animations things looks so much better. It's still a broken mess, but at least it looks somewhat decent and not awful...
Sonic's model does not seem to fit Forces also what the hell is the water here
This makes me sad cuz if Sonic 06 had good models, less loading screens, and good controls... The gameplay would be really fun (my opinion)

Unpopular opinion: I don't like how people overestimate and deify the Unleashed's model, yes it was the most polygonal, but it was surpassed by the Force's of course, just because the Force's model is higher Poly does not automatically mean that it is good. But people don't like it...

Agreed, forces was indeed charming, plus it makes him look better with classic sonic
People don't like Forces model because it completely goes against the whole point of modern sonic's design philosophy of being a longer, lankier Sonic that could feasibly do the things seen in the Adventure artwork and to show that Sonic was actually getting older. Making Modern Sonic's quills and overall body shorter completely pisses on the hard work everyone put into designing Modern Sonic's look back during Adventure and onwards. Not to mention making him a lighter shade of blue even though that was established to be Classic Sonic's thing makes no sense and just makes it more difficult to differentiate between Modern and Classic.
People love the Unleashed model because it is the closest 3D interpretation of those Adventure artworks, without it having the melted plastic look of Heroes and Shadow. Theres a reason why that model was the one that was used for 3 games in a row and the other ones were scrapped after a game or two.

I want the next sonic model to be detailed not realistic but detailed like mario in odysee i want to see the detail in his gloves i want to see his quils more detailed and his shoe more scuffed and dirty
