That is amazing. There are a lot of us serious Flight simmers out there, that would pay a respectable price for you to build this set up for them. Respectable price as in taking in account on the time you spend having to build it, parts etc It would definitely be worth the asking price
@CJDA380 Vielen Dank.
@BigBearHuskyMusher .:Hello, the left and right are 19" Widescreen. The center one is a 17" 4:3 screen with removed case. Then is there a 22" Widescreen Touchscreen with removed case for the CDU. Greets
wow.. $20,000 you should spend that towards becoming a real pilot!! :) This cockpit is amazing though, I've always wanted one just like this. Excellent work!!
nils... I watch all your videos. My son and I watched this project (737 cockpit) amazed at the detail and work that you put into it. Thanks for sharing! A forward thinking person that I would like to someday meet.
hey i gotta say this is pretty sweet, and looks like fun to build, im not crazy enuf to do it haha anyways how much did the autopilot/MCP cost you? thats what im looking into for my sim at the moment, and the music reminded me of sim city lol
beautiful setup..i esp love the picture with only the panel lights on -surreal ..i wanted to know one thing - the ADI, switch panel, throttle quadrant, the airspeed indicator etc etc - are they like replicas that you bought from somewhere and connected to work with FSX or are they ones that actually go into the real plane itself? i was always curious about where people buy/get these components from, which seem like they have been rooted out from the real cockpit.
I building a home cockpit too! and when you have first started you will never give up! it can happend that your motivation is not up and then you dont build! but as soon you watch a cockip video you get the motivation back and begin to build again! and yes this take long time!
This is very nice. How much to fly you out to do mine? Too bad I bet it woule be a pretty bit more to have a HUD drop down also. That is the best build it yourself I have seen. How long did it take to make this and what does it look like now? Any upgrades?
@sickfinds: Hi, thank you! Well we spend maybe around 20,000 USD. But there are no plans, and it was hard to build it. Many hundreds hour of work. Every cockpit it a unique one. There are some company's who sell complete homecockpits. But expensive! And its sometimes more fun to build than fly. There are always problems to solve, so its better you know how its build. Greets Nils
Hi there! According to your webiste 6 computers were used. Now what are the specs of the other computers? Do they have to be nice or just functional? Thank you for your help! Cheers
how did you made them? im thinking of modifying a joystick and put in on the floor then have a pole from the joystick that goes up to a yoke. then it will create a realistic feeling. im not that good at explaining sorry, im from sweden. hope you got some ide what i meant :)
jupppiiii... der Schubregler ist da ! ! ! ! Habs schon am Wochenende im Blog gelesen ! ! :-))))) Ich freue mich schon auf Euren ersten Takeoff im kompletten Cockpit.... Weiter so ! ! Grüsse Korny
Noticeable things in this and pretty much every simulator are those chairs. It would be great with real pilot seats :D. Well I think car seats are good as well.
Hi This looks nice, I see you have weather radar in the ND display. I do not have it, I need to find out how this works. Very nice website you have, I have not seen it before today Tore
I want to do the same setup, but I don't know the measurements for the table... where did you get them? ... I have to stick with the saitek setup... the real thing is too much cash. lol
AMAZING !!!! 1. @ 1.05 How did you make that ??? @0.37 Did you use stickers ??? Please could you send a step by step guide by PM ??? That would be sooo useful !!!! I will sub straight away !!! Thanks, Luke
Hi, we build this for "fun". We are interested in airplanes. We played Microsoft flight Simulator since the first version. It took about 2 years until now. Still not finished. Check our Blog, Link is in the description. Cheers
mostly due to the fact that sim parts for the aircraft are abundant. Its nearly impossible to find realistic autopilots for a plane like a CRJ 700 or MD80
Hello. Thank you very much. Well it takes a lot of work. We spand many hundreds hours to build it, and still build... Check out our Blog in the description for latest news and pictures. I also uploaded a few new videos lately. Just check my uploads. Greets Nils
must be lots of fun but personally I would prefer a similar quality SIM for something like a Twin Otter or Beaver...something more fun to fly. I wonder if something like that exists...even more fun if it was a Float plane SIM.
Hi. They don`t have to be fast. Pentium 4 is enough to running "Project Magenta" and other small Addons. Only one have to be super where FSX runs on it. Greets
You have a talent to reproduce an authentic cockpit of an authentic airplane.
Congratulations.
Bonjour, l'argent et une chose, le talent en et une autre, le tout réuni, c'est un chef-d'œuvre. Bravo.
Cordialement
This is absolutely Brilliant. Top notch work hats off to you friend.

Skill, passion and dedication; fantastic!
Best looking 737 Homemade Flight Deck on youtube !
Wow that's a lot. You are almost into a 172. It looks amazing though. And you have real talent.
WOW, awesome project and nice presentation.
What a great Job, I think you can build the entire aircraft!!!!

Thank you very much. New videos will follow in about 3 weeks.
amazing....where do you get the board instruments?
Excellent work! A masterpiece! My congrats from Athens Greece.
could you tell me where you got the paper templates for main panel? I am planning on building an easy and simple home cockpit. Great sim by the way!
wow.. $20,000 you should spend that towards becoming a real pilot!! :) This cockpit is amazing though, I've always wanted one just like this. Excellent work!!
nice can i ask how much did it coast for everything?
@sandgar1001: LOL. It takes only about 900Watts. Thats about 15Cents per hour. A Vacuumcleaner needs usually 2000Watts...
What size are the monitors you're using for the left ,right and center screens? Are they all 17" widescreens? Or 2 x 19" and center 17" ?
can you watch movies in there like a home movie theater on the projector?
AWESOMEE! Where did you get the throotle quadrant?
@nils169 good comeback lol what did you use to measure the electricity consumption?? did to prove this to my Mrs. hah
nils... I watch all your videos. My son and I watched this project (737 cockpit) amazed at the detail and work that you put into it. Thanks for sharing! A forward thinking person that I would like to someday meet.
How were you able to have the two monitors split the PFD and nav display half and half?

Hi. For the FSX PC, we are using a GTX570. And we are using 4 PCs, for the screens.
Did you get your touchscreen CDU to work with FSXpand or did you use another program?
do you have the plans for this? and could you tell me the cost to date if its not too cheeky?
not yet, but a OHP. FMC with touchscreen is good for now.
Hi, the chairs are now modified. Well at least one for now... Check out in the Blog...
did the faa aproved that for ifr simulation?
hello, can you please tell me what CDU / FMC you are using for the flight route? thanks
Hi! Very nice. Where did you buy all that stuff??
Great video! What is the name of the song you used?

how much did it cost?
and did you make the throttle yourself from two Saitek throttle quadrants?
yes almost. but now we have the "real" ones. Check out it the blog if you wanna see them.

Hello, started in 2009, and its still not finished. We did buy the throttle quadrant... I think I can not build it in this high detail level.
Noticeable things in this and pretty much every simulator are those chairs. It would be great with real pilot seats :D. Well I think car seats are good as well.
Hi ! I want to build one and i want to ask you how bigger are the screens for the gps and altimeter pannel ? Thank you
What Software did you use for the Displays ?!? I guess it's prosim737 Display !!! If Not, please Tell me which !!!!!
Nice sim man! How did you do the instruments (approch and alltitude)
Hello, i would like to know how did you make the navigation appear in the differant monitors please? Thanks
Just wondering why you have 4 pcs in some of the pictures

i hate how they make it look so simple :(
theReal NBK71 Nothing about this looked simple.
where did you find those 1:1 scale pictures of the cock pit?
Don`t think so. FSX is from 2006, and there are so many Addons. And still new ones. And the Computers getting faster.
