The voicemail from the deceased father really sends chills down my spine. My father died 2012; I would be horrified to receive a message like that.

@@evangelinedouros254 mine died in 2011. He was 93 years old. RIP to mine and yours.
I lost my dad 3 months ago, so yeah I'd love to talk to him one more time.
The Martha call is really scaring me because you can hear so many emotions in his voice. He’s intently trying to get her to respond, and at the end he sounds kind of upset, like “dangit why is she ignoring me?”
“Hi we are trying to reach you about your car’s extended warranty” man these still give me nightmares
I keep getting put into text group chats with phishing links and it's always so obvious like no care in the world. But when I do get the extended warranty calls I have fun every time. First of all, I clarify that the model year they refer to is actually wrong (for some reason they always get the same wrong number lol) and if they're on the line still I proceed with something like "thank God you called, I just totaled it.."
Bro I’m 12 and I got that exact spam call I was dying from laughing 😂😂😂
The dude in the first story was polite. “Can you open this door” Is better than just breaking it down
It comes across a little differently when it's worded, "Can you open *the* door" instead of *this* door though. Don't you think? Sort of less frightening. Still scary. But not as psychotic. LOL
@@frauleinmona I think that kinda makes it worse honestly, that he was so fuckin nonchalant about a potential robbery or worse
Like it was no big deal, just another daily occurrence
@@feedthemeat543f Oh, no, no. That's not what I meant hun. I meant that the guy said, "Can you open THE door?". You had mistakenly quoted the caller as saying, "Can you open THIS door?". And I meant it sounds a little better when the guy said, "Can you open *the* door?" instead of "Can you open THIS door?" See what I'm saying?😊 But there's no denying, that that is still, quite unsettling and creepy.
Probably wanted it not to look like a forced entry, makes it harder to rule it a robbery
If the guy was legitimately looking for a job he would have no reason to hide his number
That 1st account is DANGEROUS to do in Texas. Not for the homeowner, but the person pounding on the door!!
to me, the voicemail of the crying person sounds like they’re saying “i’m stressed and i don’t know what to do”. could be an ex friend/boyfriend/estranged family member of the girl. especially if she’s had the number for a long time
Maybe it's because I'm listening it quiet and on speakers, but I heard something along the lines of "I'm trying" and the automated subtitles say the same :/
It’s scary to think that these phone calls and voicemails could happen to anyone of us at any point in time.
Not me! I don't know how to set up a voicemail, refuse to figure it out, and wont ask for help, I've had my phone for 5 years, I just dont wanna do all that, to much work man
I've had many voicemails over the years that made me wonder. Then I deleted them and moved on.
My wife and I were watching this, and the last story really resonated with us because we thought the last story really rang alarm bells. It occurred to us that; the voice mail was a genuinely disturbed and frightened woman, and therefore a real 'cry for help'. It seemed logical that this person may have used the perpetrators phone which was set as unknown, since they were obviously trying to hide their identity. But more disturbing, it's highly probable that the victim simply clicked on an available number on the phones list? Possibly, a deeper investigation may be required into this incident? BTW. Really great channel. Much thanks to Mr Nightmare.
it’s insane that i started watching in 6th grade and now i’m a freshman in college 🥲 the vids are still as good as ever
I started watching when I was in like 1st grade, I’m now in 7th, funny how it carries over and still hits hard
ayy, I got hooked in 5th and am a sophomore in college. wild how some stuff never gets old
I started watching around 5 years ago, now I’m a freshman in high school lol
I think the scariest voicemail I've ever gotten was one of this man and woman arguing (muffled, couldn't understand about what), silence, then the woman suddenly whispering "I told him not to do it" into the reciever
stuff like this is actually scary. just knowing this could happen to anybody at any time is spine chilling
To this day, I still love how these videos can be more chilling than actual horror movies
In the early 2000s, I was an emergency dispatcher for a police/fire department. One night we received several hang-up calls on the 9-1-1 line. The system showed that the calls were originating from an address in a rural area in our coverage zone.
Thinking that it might be a person in a dangerous situation who was unable to talk at the moment, we sent an officer out to the address. It turned out that the address was a burned out mobile home that hadn't been occupied for years. The very weirdest part is that the information shown on the dispatching screen was saying that the number was a landline phone. The officer was very creeped out, and we never found out why we got those calls.

I lived in Scottsdale, AZ at the time and it was audio of someone crying, a feminine person's horrific sobs and was followed 30 seconds later by what i presumed to be a handgun. The voicemail hung up after 4 seconds. Creeps to this day
Every single time that I’m watching these with a video I feel like I’m gonna get jump-scared

What happened to number 3, 2 and 1? There’s no voicemail to be heard! Video disliked!
I remember years ago I had a missed call from like a 15 digit phone number or something abnormal I couldn’t call back. The message sounded like a drunk man rambling. Freaked me out.
After my dad passed, i was looking at his fb page and in my dispair I sent a friend request. We weren't friends on fb because he used his mainly to catch up with old Army pals and chat with ladies. Around 6 months later I received a notification that he accepted my request. I screen shot the notification and showed my sister. Very weird but oddly comforting.
the screaming one literally gave me chills i can’t describe
For real there is something i just don’t like at all about it, it sounds wrong somehow?
The story of Martha’s dad gave me goosebumps immediately and made me have tears in my eyes.
I always get tears in my eyes when something really strange happens
"Have you checked the children?"
"Um, I'm not babysitting."
"....well shit."
HELP MY!!! My muscles are too big! I am a big tall man and my muscles are even BIGGER! I use them to get views but they HURT so much!!! Because they are heavy. Do you have any advice, dear gal
All of these were horrific. A friend of mine also had a voice message from his dead father but it wasn't that long after he passed. It was actually the day of. He died all suddenly and my friend didn't even know he was dead. She was so shocked when she found out he actually passed away before the message was sent. That kind of shit sends shivers down my spine.
@Divine Sinner it was like static mixed with his voice, you couldn't really understand him. I don't know how else to describe it, but you could tell it was his voice.
Wow ... well Rest In Peace to her dad. Not sure if her relationship with him was good, but it seems like she loved him. I'm sure she was not only shocked but upset. I hope she's found closure and peace. Losing a loved one so suddenly ... it ain't cool! Hopefully the voicemail somehow brings her some comfort.
Paula Porras....oh wow that’s pretty wild.
The morning my grandma died, my mom called me to tell me the news and asked if I wanted to see my grandma one last time. I told her I didn’t think I could, it would’ve been the first time I had someone close to me pass away and I wasn’t sure if I could handle it or not. I felt so guilty as soon as the words came out of my mouth. Then my “mom” replied “that’s ok honey” and I swear it was my grandmas voice in fact I know in my heart it was her and calling me honey was something she always did whereas my mom didn’t. Her voice was so distinctive that I was immediately shocked and just sat there speechless until my mom finally started asking me “are you still there?”. I also remember that at the precise moment I heard my grandmas voice my cell phone reception suddenly wasn’t as good and was staticky. After hanging up with my mom I felt the sudden urge to see my grandma one last time before the funeral parlor came and she was ultimately cremated. When I got to where my grandma was that morning, I couldn’t stay but a minute because I could “feel” her spirit/soul was no longer in her body, she just wasn’t here on earth anymore, if that makes sense, and that when I heard her on the phone earlier, it was her saying goodbye and reassuring me that she was ok. It was a bittersweet moment that I’ll never forget.
@@shawnmaria9064 Oh my God! That’s so intense. My condolences go out to you, and I strongly believe your grandmother is doing fine and watching over you! 🙏🏻

I got a terrifying call yesterday actually, I was out shopping and the wife called me to ask if……….I could pick something up for dinner as the in laws were coming over, the colour drained from my face and I got shivers
Thank you for being brave enough to talk about this, so soon after the event.
Not sure how I would've reacted, I probably would've cried (what if they're as picky as my partner! I just give them plain pasta????)
The knocking getting harder the 2nd time really got to me. The first knocks seems to say "hey you, let me in, I'm nice", the 2 knocks are like "LET. ME. IN." in a deep scary voice 😳
I remember when I was younger my grandmother had a hair salon and sadly one of her friends/clients passed. The very next day we ( my mum, grandma and I ) were in our kitchen when we hear the phone ring. We got to the phone just in time to hear the second creepiest voicemail I’ve ever received, her friend was wondering if she could get her hair done because she was “going out of town for a while” creeps me out all these years later
That's like my worst fear, dying and not knowing I'm dead. Existing as if I'm still alive, possibly for eternity.
The one with the (dead) father on the voicemail repeatedly saying his daughters name hit me hard. My father died 10 years ago and if I would listen to him on my voicemail I would have a nervous breakdown because I miss him so much. Gave me chills and made me nostalgic at the same time. Hope everyone is fine after these voice messages.
My dad died last summer in August so a little over a year now. I can definitely relate to this.
I mean is it possible the dead could contact you through voicemail messages?
The fact that these are real is what’s most terrifying😭
The calls are real, but some of these voicemails have been linked to phone scams. Folks take (or record) a bit of scary audio from TV or films and spam people with it.
ORRRRR some of these voicemails are faked to be super creepy in order to be featured on this channel. I hate to say it, but I have lost all faith in humanity to be genuine.

It's been a while since I last listened to Mr. Nightmare's scary story videos. He's still uploading top tier content I see. Glad to see he hasn't changed much.
Also- The second one is so - unnerving-
My mom would often call me late at night crying after fights with my dad (She was usually drunk or high and my dad would take us to one of our relative's houses to get away from her), and it's really unsettling to hear.
Wow, how horrifying. I truly don't understand the effort some people put into trying to destroy or terrorize others. It's sad there's so many monsters in this world. Thank you for another great video!
Ngl, this was probably the most disturbing Mr.nightmare video I've seen and I've been a fan for a while now. Everytime I watch one of his videos I turn out my lights and put the volume on max. This was the first time I've had to turn on my lights. Idk why it disturbed me so much.
I have no issue listening to horror stories at night when I'm settling down for bed but this one I had to save for the morning. The calls just freaked me out too much, especially the third one with the creature/torture screaming. I love horror but this kind of thing just gets to me in a way a lot of other horror doesn't.
I am yet to be scared from any of his videos. I purposely save them for the night for I can listen to them before bed, sometimes if I work late I love listening to his videos while I’m working
Personally, I wasn't scared by this one. The others are more terrifying.
I love horror, and not scared easily. But something about that last one just sent a chill up my spine.
That was the only one that didn’t really scare me. It was definitely just some kid like going high pitch trying not to laugh while doing it😂 listen closely there’s like no distress in the voice I was cracking up 😂😂😂

The only “creepy” voicemail I’ve gotten is that my car’s extended warranty is about to expire lmao
That must be the scam du jour, because, I've blocked about 25 numbers calling with that same BS lately.
Those are terrifying. Especially the “would you like to buy solar panels”?
The creepiest one I’ve ever gotten was one sent by a woman crying and saying “I’m so sorry Cindy” over and over along with a muffled “I heard the news”
This was on a flip-phone, and I still have no idea to this day who Cindy was

You know, after reading the comment about these being a scam and the most common tactic is editing a movie clip,
I think "I'm sorry Cindy, I heard the news" is from "Scary Movie" , the horror parody.
the third one is creepy and disturbing. I LOVE IT
I usually don't have physical reactions to these sorts of stories aside from maybe getting tense or a creeped out shiver, but something about the message from the dead father not only made my heart sink so hard, and my eyes immediately started tearing up, and my body felt super tense.. The screaming voicemail gave me chills. And I don't get scared easily.

The dad voice mail was actually kinda sad. Seeing how both of my parents are declining in health and are needed more assistance as they grow older, I would cherish the voice or anything they sent me forever. Even if my father or mother is gone, having a voicemail being given to me years later would bring me to such tears.

@@FoodMaster64 Oh I’m coming, be on the look out. I can just tell you, expect me back for sure in 2022
I find weird v-mails to be incredibly scary, whether of a seemingly paranormal or more mundane nature. They're so...personal? I'm not sure if that's the word I'm looking for, but that's the best I can come up it. To put it another way, getting a v-mail means someone or something is targeting you specifically. That's part of what makes them so creepy, I think.
They feel very invasive to me. Almost like they are coming into my personal space without my permission
The most disturbing of them all is the one where Martha heard her father's voice on the other end despite being dead for 2 years. That is just ugh! I get chills thinking about it.

My Dad got a call on his landline from what I knows for a fact is my dead grandpa. When he would call he just say "Garcia called" and he heard the exact same voicemail years after his death after checking his answering machine one night. I've always loved scary stories, and you, Mr. Nightmare never dissapoint! You are the master! btw, you seem to have a bit of an accent....it almost sounds Canadian :) keep up the good work!
My hypothesis: The creepy voicemails are scams, they want to creep you badly so you call back. Same thing with creepy calls, they want to keep you on the line long enough.
This is a fairly common scam. They'll pretend to be a girl crying, then when the person on the other end asks if it's "jenny" or whoever they may think it is, the scammer will say they need help and ask for some money for a taxi or bus or something.
hmm good point . i got a weird voicemail or two before. and that could very well be
very true .. usually use them with an auto dialer and flag ppl that answer.. those that are flagged then get added to a list of "leads" that are then sold to phone scammers as "good numbers" so they can pitch scam calls to.
The fact that our names, phone numbers, addresses, and other information can be so readily available for any stranger to find is so terrifying and honestly it shouldn't be like that.
It is yeah. A friend of mine found a website that gave our personal information and he found mine with just my name, my state and the name of my sister and they sold him my personal information for $0.99. So yeah. Very easy to find people.

that screaming/wild animals voice mail actually kind of makes me think of when you try to record a really strong wind honestly, or when someone is talking to you on the phone when there's a really strong wind around them and that's all you can hear.
The one with the creature or torture screaming is terrifying.

The creepiest voicemail I got was shortly after I broke up with my abusive ex. To this day, I still don't know if it was him or not, but it was an unknown number which had the recording of a robotic voice saying that I was in danger. Fortunately, nothing came about it since it was months and months ago, but I still think about it sometimes

When I was around 7(f) I got this call from a little girl saying how she needed help using the bathroom. How she didn’t know what to do (sitting on the toilet, wiping, where to put the toilet paper). I tried explaining wanting to help but she called two different days and we talked about how she needs help. If I could be her friend. These two conversations lasted about 10 minutes each.
“She” called twice more but only lasted about 30 seconds because I started getting nervous and hung up.
