Or deny all the personal information the blackmailer had on him and still go to the police. Him confirming anything was way more dangerous.
I agree. He gave that scumbag way too much ammunition. I wouldn't have even responded to the first email. I've gotten those emails before from low-lives saying they have my passwords and shit. I always put them in my junk. Plus I use LastPass so I don't have anything to worry about.

I think the Dom Peter one was the most scary. What started off seeming like a regular scam turned out to be an actual threat culminating into a break in. It's like an actual thriller movie.
And I think what's the most scary part is Dom was probably not able to be found since he hid himself via an untraceable device. So for all we know Dom Peter could still be out there trying to trace people so he can break into their houses. Stay safe and beware of what e-mails you open.
Dom Peter isn't that scary. He threw a rock, and didn't even try to have the tough act after police got involved. I know these types of people, because I dealt with them. They know where you live, and stalk. But won't attack personally---if they do, only a surprise attack, knocking you out. That's just it. They leave you alone after that. If you want an intimidating person, you picture him to be. Take Jack the Ripper, or Zodiac Killer; because they are actually scary, instear of acting tough. One hides in enigmatic deeds, and one just puzzles you.

I had a stalker when I was 12. It was my stepfather's friend from work. I hadn't even met him but he saw a picture of me my stepdad showed had in his wallet and apparently he became fixated by that. We were surprised how quickly things started happening. Start seeing a work truck follow me everywhere to school and with my friends. My parents contacted the police department. It stopped after that But it's hard to describe when you have someone stalking you. I remember being at the bus stop. I would see his work truck down the road circling around the street. It's bizzare how quickly you realize your life is no longer your own. Thankfully it didn't last long and the cops squashed it before it began. So I guess I was really lucky.
It’s ok to ghost someone if you don’t know them ESPECIALLY online. I think our society puts too much pressure on being polite rather than keep yourself safe…if you get a weird feeling or you know that person ain’t right, listen!
For the last story they should have just called the police rather than yelling threats into the phone at the person so they had a chance to dispose of the phone and never be caught...
One word of advice to all of us: DO NOT RESPOND TO SUSPICIOUS EMAILS, period!! The first story is one such example of involving law enforcement and protection to your family/friends, not waiting for things to happen, that’s stupidity right there. Like always, Mr Nightmare delivered on any day, not just Friday.
I get what you say about involving Police but you're assuming that the Scammer is comically dumb. These guys have tons of dud accounts and tons of burner devices. Just doing nothing leaves them at a loss if they're bluffing. And involving Police can be kind of awkward if they use a burner. I know a guy who works Cyber Crime in Melbourne, Australia and they raided what they thought was the home of a Scammer who posed as a Fraud Detective only to find they'd been following a signal piggybacking off the WiFi of a 87 year old retired School Teacher who almost had a heart attack when the Cops kicked in the door
I did have one a few years back and these are common for hackers. I know I had one where someone of the name Stanley said he knows where I am and wants £2000 in gbp and if he doesn't get it soon things would happen, I said fuk that no way, I don't have £2000 and its difficult for me to find that kind of money. Things did happen I saw headlights and next someone jumping on my balconey roof, I jumped out the other window and quietly got a look at him from a distance he was 6"2 medium build, dunno what race he was. Next he saw me and tried to dart after me, the school at the back of the houses I ran through there as it was night and to the main road where I lost him. I was lucky, I didn't know what that crazy guy intended, I should've documented this to Mr. Nightmare I know, but the nightmare is he hardly replies lol
As for the first story, I would just glance, delete the email, & never open it. Tf they gonna do if you never respond?! They’ll just move on to the next possible victim
@@Redman_real For first case, the best move is to ignore it and change your passwords on all the services you can think of. Notifying the hacker that you've read the email is not a good idea. This means if this is done on social media where the "Read" status can be seen, you shouldn't even click on it. Let them think you don't read your own emails or your emails are dead email. Second case is a bit tough because stalking is a difficult situation to handle. In general, not letting your attacker know you're aware of their threat and are panning a counter, is a good idea. Pretend you're still oblivious and report the stalker to the police. As discreetly as possible. Otherwise they will run or do things to make it harder for the police to catch them. Even worse, lash out and do worse things to you. Third case is also similar to the first two in the sense that you shouldn't know that you've realized their plan. Things would've gone better if the guy didn't call the stolen phone and left voice mails. Simply go to the police with the female friend to explain that it's someone else who sent the email. Leave the female friend there and go with the cops tailing behind you. So when you arrive at the location the attacker will think you've fallen for it. They will show themselves and that's when the police catch them. I'm being completely honest in saying that these solutions appear obvious to me. I also see many comments expressing the same, so maybe some people simply have sharper survival instinct.
I got one email saying that they have my search history and it was "sick and disgusting", I suppose searching for lettering books offended some people. 😂😂 Anyway, I ignored it. Nothing happened.
Those are just designed to spook and reel in the gullible, fire enough arrows and a few will hit. I had a tsunami of those saying they had pics of me on my webcam while looking at you-know-what, and that I had interesting tastes. Nothing ever came of it and my webcam had been taped over for years anyway.

Only I had a setup where I had two 27'' screens, a wireless keyboard and mouse on my desk, while my actual laptop was under a table next to my desk. I kept it open so it could cool down, but there is no way that cam could have recorded me. I was itching to write either "I hope you enjoyed the underside of my table, you prick", or "go ahead, people at work won't care, my friends would laugh or smirk knowingly, my family... I myself don't care about their reaction, and my crush is in my contacts so you might actually be helping me". My flatmate convinced me to just leave it alone.

what's weird is that it seems like the blackmailer lives near his area. No way he has the time to randomly blackmail someone and to put the effort in to arrive at their residential place (just to take a picture) if were to say the person lives 300 miles away. Most likely looked up who lives near their place so they can blackmail the unfortunate victim At this point, I would keep a lethal weapon near me and set up a few cameras. And then set up an extremely loud alarm by the front yard near the front door and backdoor, if they were to actually come in. Honestly buy a drone, gonna catch the suspect in 4k 📸
First story… what a joke. If you say you’re gonna do something, back it up. Don’t tell somebody they’re gonna get shot if you don’t have a gun. Also, just recklessly endangered his parents without their knowledge. Thank god that scammer didn’t follow through with his threats just like the writer.

he's a student, it's not something we experience every damn week to be an expert of, don't based any strategies you see in movies, and don't be a back seat andy, we wouldn't know how we would react if that person were to be us
It's best to never even open an email that looks like blackmail, because more often than not, the sender receives the notification that it was opened and that the account is active and will try and pester you more.

I received a similar email where the sender wrote my password and asked for money. But I read it and then totally ignored it because 1. The email was likely sent from the US because it asked me to pay in dollars. I live in India so I figured he won't come all the way to India to threaten me. 2. The password he wrote was my old one from way way back. Since then I have changed several passwords so I wasn't really worried about it 😎
I got one of those password email scams. It actually had a very old password that I don’t use anymore. they said that they recorded me on my computer camera and would release it to the Internet if I didn’t pay them. Problem is I don’t have a computer camera none of my computers had cameras. Stupid.

I got one of those scam emails back when I had my old janky laptop that was on its last leg, the camera didn't work at all whatsoever and the email showed one of my super old passwords I don't use for anything anymore. I responded to the email explaining how I was broke (true) but that even if I could pay the money, I still wouldn't because they don't have anything on me anyway and even if they did, blackmail is an atrocious thing to do to someone and I have nothing to hide in who I am and how I live, so I have faith that karma will come around. Told them to fuck off and to have fun spreading around a video that doesn't exist to a bunch of contacts they have no way of finding. Never got a response. That was sometime during the first half of 2020 and although my life was incredibly stressful at the time (as anyone's was I'm sure), that was one thing I just couldn't help but laugh about because of how stupid it was.
This video title alone creeped me out because a few days ago I was deleting emails. And I was about to empty my spam and I checked one email that was titled “Please Look” and in the email there was no words, but an attached picture of my moms car in our driveway. It was really creepy.

I got an email from this unknown person one time and it had pictures of me when I was younger, I called the police and they never found out who it was that was sending that stuff. Nothing has happened since then.

i think the blackmailer refers to it as "donation" because your bank tends to freeze your account or alert you whenever you give away a big load of money (especially when your account isn't something along the line of a so-called business account). if the victim were to get a call from the bank asking what's the reason for sending $5000, he would had to reluctantly say "its a donation" or else "bad things may happen"

What's worse is that if you do pay the asked amount to a blackmail person that asked, how tf do you know they won't go after you again because they can simply make you vomit out until you no longer have cash.
Yeah there's nothing to stop them from blackmailing again. But, a lot of ransomware guys do make sure to unencrypt people's data, so people trust that it's "worth" paying the ransom.
I love how u add noises to your stories. For example... he heard a scream in the woods... and u put in the audio of a women screaming...or I heard a faint laughing and u put the audio in so we hear what they heard. LOVE THAT. No other story teller on TH-cam does that. It also makes the stories that much scarier. I would be listening and you would say "someone started lightly tapping on the glass and put in the audio of a tapping noise and I'd be sitting here terrified to go to the bathroom. Makes me jump alot to. Especially when u add photos with it to show us what they see almost like we are in their shoes giving us a feeling of what they felt. The littlest details you do to your stories makes them the best on TH-cam.
If I was in the last story, I wouldn’t have let the robbers know that I knew it was a scam, I would’ve just called the police and let them get there because the robbers probably fled once they found out they were caught

Not really a scary email story, but definitely a creepy one. This happened in my freshman year of highschool, and I got an email from a student (who I would prefer to keep nameless) on my laptop. He said I seemed nice and he wanted to get to know me better, and for me to meet him at a certain part of the school near some restroom around the last period of the day. Something was definitely sketchy, and I got the chills just from reading it. I didn't want to interact with the message whatsoever, so I chose not to respond. However a couple days later, I see another email by the SAME KID, who wanted me to come meet him near the restroom, and how he wanted to be my friend. I wasn't having it, I responded telling him no, and that I wanted to be left alone. Luckily, he took the hint and backed off. I still don't know what would've happened if I agreed to go with him, it could've been something completely innocent but...these days you just don't know.
About six years back I got some random emails stating if I didn't pay up 10,000 via PayPal harm would come to my family. The person also sent screenshots of my mom's house I was staying at. Luckily I was home alone all week due to my mom staying with my sick aunt. After a couple days a note was left on my door stating I had 24 hours and they know I'm home alone. I called the cops, they took a statement but said it must've been a prank. The cops in my town were useless. Well, that night I invited three buddies who were firmer service members and armed to the teeth over for beer and pizza. 1 AM rolled around and a suspicious van pulled up. Twice guys got out. One skinny with long, stringy hair and an obese guy who was bald with a goatee got out. They were carrying rope, a black bag, a big ass bowie knife. The fat guy had the rope over his shoulder and a black bag in his right hand. The skinny guy had the knife on his belt and pulled it off. Mind you, we were kind of drunk and testosterone was going strong. I stepped out onto my front porch, handgun tucked behind me. Me: "The fuck you want?" Skinny: "Told you, you should've paid." My three buddies stepped out. Two with their hand guns, my crazy marine friend brought his AR and I showed my gun. "Take another step, we light you up." They freaked out, the fat guy yelling "Let's get the fuck out of here!" As they jumped in their van and drive off. Thinking now I should've held them until the cops come. Who knows if they got anyone else. Suffice to say, I was young, dumb and full of spunk. Now, I regret not stopping them. They might very gotten others....

I am not sure how to even go about having the responsible people charged because of the manner in which it was done, combined with the general disinterest police have in cyber stalking or hacking of any kind. I've been watching this channel since April 2016, almost 6 years. It feels like yesterday. I remember sitting in the living room in the dark watching creepy videos with my brother and sister and my sister put your videos on and I've been addicted ever since
I just came across your channel, I immediately subscribed. I’m replying to the first story with the guy named Joe because that is all I have watched so far. That is some scary sh*t. The guy had his address and pictures of his parents house. That story freaked me out so bad. I’m going to continue to watch the next 2 stories. I’m already enjoying your channel and will definitely be watching more stories after this one.
I've been watching him for years. And is still by far the best. Its always worth the wait. What stands him out from the rest is not just the perfect voice and emotion to narrat (which he has) its also the fact he puts a lot of work in. I'm talking sound effects, pictures, and most of all doing the homework on the stories he tells. Mr. Nightmare has it all.
I got a few of those "I have embarrassing footage of you" BS spam emails. Like, if the threat is sending some weird picture of me "enjoying myself" to family members, I obviously wouldn't want that necessarily, but no way in hell would it be enough to get me to shell out money 😆 If that actually happened I'd just be like "don't open it, I obviously didn't send it"

In 6years of watching mr.nightmare I never missed one video, yes I’d be a few hours or days late but I’ve watched every single one and have watched every single one through effortlessly. At age 12 I got into demons all that psychotic spooky shi and started watching mr.nightmares videos. After watching one. I couldn’t stop. Yes I loved them but I was also 12 and petrified resulting to me having to keep my light on 24/7 (sorry mom,PSNG was wild). Now at almost 19 I’m putting his videos on and catch myself falling asleep because I can picture the situations so vividly it’s just my peace. The detailed descriptions, sound effects, images, the different voice tones. It’s all so professionally done and always has been since I was little. I appreciate all the hard work he puts into his videos and more than that I appreciate how consistent he has been over all these years, I don’t know how he does it. I hope you come out with your own story book one day mr.Nightmare seriously I’d read it in a instant. I can confirm the comments are true he doesnt ever miss.

Last year I sent someone an email trying to get through to them about the danger they were in living in the apartment building they were in . They took it as a threat and sent my info to police instead of the people who were trying to destroy the building and even started fires in it
i've gotten so many emails from scammers saying that they were spying on me through my webcam and how my search history was disgusting and illegal, how i "did stuff" while watching those things. it was just hilarious because 1) they were sent to a work laptop that i never took home and 2) my webcam(s) have tape over it. obviously i never responded because it was all made up, but this is a great wake up call to those who may be gullible and that may respond to them, like in story 1. report phishing & block the senders!

These guys have tons of dud accounts and tons of burner devices. Just doing nothing leaves them at a loss if they're bluffing.
And involving Police can be kind of awkward if they use a burner. I know a guy who works Cyber Crime in Melbourne, Australia and they raided what they thought was the home of a Scammer who posed as a Fraud Detective only to find they'd been following a signal piggybacking off the WiFi of a 87 year old retired School Teacher who almost had a heart attack when the Cops kicked in the door

I did have one a few years back and these are common for hackers.
I know I had one where someone of the name Stanley said he knows where I am and wants £2000 in gbp and if he doesn't get it soon things would happen, I said fuk that no way, I don't have £2000 and its difficult for me to find that kind of money.
Things did happen I saw headlights and next someone jumping on my balconey roof, I jumped out the other window and quietly got a look at him from a distance he was 6"2 medium build, dunno what race he was.
Next he saw me and tried to dart after me, the school at the back of the houses I ran through there as it was night and to the main road where I lost him.
I was lucky, I didn't know what that crazy guy intended, I should've documented this to Mr. Nightmare I know, but the nightmare is he hardly replies lol
As for the first story, I would just glance, delete the email, & never open it. Tf they gonna do if you never respond?! They’ll just move on to the next possible victim

@@Redman_real For first case, the best move is to ignore it and change your passwords on all the services you can think of. Notifying the hacker that you've read the email is not a good idea. This means if this is done on social media where the "Read" status can be seen, you shouldn't even click on it. Let them think you don't read your own emails or your emails are dead email.
Second case is a bit tough because stalking is a difficult situation to handle. In general, not letting your attacker know you're aware of their threat and are panning a counter, is a good idea. Pretend you're still oblivious and report the stalker to the police. As discreetly as possible. Otherwise they will run or do things to make it harder for the police to catch them. Even worse, lash out and do worse things to you.
Third case is also similar to the first two in the sense that you shouldn't know that you've realized their plan. Things would've gone better if the guy didn't call the stolen phone and left voice mails. Simply go to the police with the female friend to explain that it's someone else who sent the email. Leave the female friend there and go with the cops tailing behind you. So when you arrive at the location the attacker will think you've fallen for it. They will show themselves and that's when the police catch them.
I'm being completely honest in saying that these solutions appear obvious to me. I also see many comments expressing the same, so maybe some people simply have sharper survival instinct.
I got one email saying that they have my search history and it was "sick and disgusting", I suppose searching for lettering books offended some people. 😂😂 Anyway, I ignored it. Nothing happened.
Those are just designed to spook and reel in the gullible, fire enough arrows and a few will hit. I had a tsunami of those saying they had pics of me on my webcam while looking at you-know-what, and that I had interesting tastes.
Nothing ever came of it and my webcam had been taped over for years anyway.

Only I had a setup where I had two 27'' screens, a wireless keyboard and mouse on my desk, while my actual laptop was under a table next to my desk. I kept it open so it could cool down, but there is no way that cam could have recorded me. I was itching to write either "I hope you enjoyed the underside of my table, you prick", or "go ahead, people at work won't care, my friends would laugh or smirk knowingly, my family... I myself don't care about their reaction, and my crush is in my contacts so you might actually be helping me". My flatmate convinced me to just leave it alone.

what's weird is that it seems like the blackmailer lives near his area. No way he has the time to randomly blackmail someone and to put the effort in to arrive at their residential place (just to take a picture) if were to say the person lives 300 miles away. Most likely looked up who lives near their place so they can blackmail the unfortunate victim
At this point, I would keep a lethal weapon near me and set up a few cameras. And then set up an extremely loud alarm by the front yard near the front door and backdoor, if they were to actually come in. Honestly buy a drone, gonna catch the suspect in 4k 📸

It's best to never even open an email that looks like blackmail, because more often than not, the sender receives the notification that it was opened and that the account is active and will try and pester you more.

I received a similar email where the sender wrote my password and asked for money. But I read it and then totally ignored it because
1. The email was likely sent from the US because it asked me to pay in dollars. I live in India so I figured he won't come all the way to India to threaten me.
2. The password he wrote was my old one from way way back. Since then I have changed several passwords so I wasn't really worried about it 😎

I got one of those password email scams. It actually had a very old password that I don’t use anymore. they said that they recorded me on my computer camera and would release it to the Internet if I didn’t pay them. Problem is I don’t have a computer camera none of my computers had cameras. Stupid.

Exactly. I got one of those scam emails back when I had my old janky laptop that was on its last leg, the camera didn't work at all whatsoever and the email showed one of my super old passwords I don't use for anything anymore.
I responded to the email explaining how I was broke (true) but that even if I could pay the money, I still wouldn't because they don't have anything on me anyway and even if they did, blackmail is an atrocious thing to do to someone and I have nothing to hide in who I am and how I live, so I have faith that karma will come around.
Told them to fuck off and to have fun spreading around a video that doesn't exist to a bunch of contacts they have no way of finding. Never got a response.
That was sometime during the first half of 2020 and although my life was incredibly stressful at the time (as anyone's was I'm sure), that was one thing I just couldn't help but laugh about because of how stupid it was.

This video title alone creeped me out because a few days ago I was deleting emails. And I was about to empty my spam and I checked one email that was titled “Please Look” and in the email there was no words, but an attached picture of my moms car in our driveway. It was really creepy.

i think the blackmailer refers to it as "donation" because your bank tends to freeze your account or alert you whenever you give away a big load of money (especially when your account isn't something along the line of a so-called business account). if the victim were to get a call from the bank asking what's the reason for sending $5000, he would had to reluctantly say "its a donation" or else "bad things may happen"

What's worse is that if you do pay the asked amount to a blackmail person that asked, how tf do you know they won't go after you again because they can simply make you vomit out until you no longer have cash.
That guy already didn't have cash. Dumba$$ should check if the person actually had that kind of money before sending the e-mail.
Yeah there's nothing to stop them from blackmailing again. But, a lot of ransomware guys do make sure to unencrypt people's data, so people trust that it's "worth" paying the ransom.
I love how u add noises to your stories. For example... he heard a scream in the woods... and u put in the audio of a women screaming...or I heard a faint laughing and u put the audio in so we hear what they heard. LOVE THAT. No other story teller on TH-cam does that. It also makes the stories that much scarier. I would be listening and you would say "someone started lightly tapping on the glass and put in the audio of a tapping noise and I'd be sitting here terrified to go to the bathroom. Makes me jump alot to. Especially when u add photos with it to show us what they see almost like we are in their shoes giving us a feeling of what they felt. The littlest details you do to your stories makes them the best on TH-cam.

Not really a scary email story, but definitely a creepy one. This happened in my freshman year of highschool, and I got an email from a student (who I would prefer to keep nameless) on my laptop. He said I seemed nice and he wanted to get to know me better, and for me to meet him at a certain part of the school near some restroom around the last period of the day. Something was definitely sketchy, and I got the chills just from reading it. I didn't want to interact with the message whatsoever, so I chose not to respond. However a couple days later, I see another email by the SAME KID, who wanted me to come meet him near the restroom, and how he wanted to be my friend. I wasn't having it, I responded telling him no, and that I wanted to be left alone. Luckily, he took the hint and backed off. I still don't know what would've happened if I agreed to go with him, it could've been something completely innocent but...these days you just don't know.

About six years back I got some random emails stating if I didn't pay up 10,000 via PayPal harm would come to my family. The person also sent screenshots of my mom's house I was staying at. Luckily I was home alone all week due to my mom staying with my sick aunt. After a couple days a note was left on my door stating I had 24 hours and they know I'm home alone. I called the cops, they took a statement but said it must've been a prank. The cops in my town were useless. Well, that night I invited three buddies who were firmer service members and armed to the teeth over for beer and pizza. 1 AM rolled around and a suspicious van pulled up. Twice guys got out. One skinny with long, stringy hair and an obese guy who was bald with a goatee got out. They were carrying rope, a black bag, a big ass bowie knife. The fat guy had the rope over his shoulder and a black bag in his right hand. The skinny guy had the knife on his belt and pulled it off. Mind you, we were kind of drunk and testosterone was going strong. I stepped out onto my front porch, handgun tucked behind me.
Me: "The fuck you want?"
Skinny: "Told you, you should've paid."
My three buddies stepped out. Two with their hand guns, my crazy marine friend brought his AR and I showed my gun.
"Take another step, we light you up." They freaked out, the fat guy yelling "Let's get the fuck out of here!" As they jumped in their van and drive off.
Thinking now I should've held them until the cops come. Who knows if they got anyone else. Suffice to say, I was young, dumb and full of spunk. Now, I regret not stopping them. They might very gotten others....

I've been watching him for years. And is still by far the best. Its always worth the wait. What stands him out from the rest is not just the perfect voice and emotion to narrat (which he has) its also the fact he puts a lot of work in. I'm talking sound effects, pictures, and most of all doing the homework on the stories he tells. Mr. Nightmare has it all.

Like, if the threat is sending some weird picture of me "enjoying myself" to family members, I obviously wouldn't want that necessarily, but no way in hell would it be enough to get me to shell out money 😆 If that actually happened I'd just be like "don't open it, I obviously didn't send it"

In 6years of watching mr.nightmare I never missed one video, yes I’d be a few hours or days late but I’ve watched every single one and have watched every single one through effortlessly. At age 12 I got into demons all that psychotic spooky shi and started watching mr.nightmares videos. After watching one. I couldn’t stop. Yes I loved them but I was also 12 and petrified resulting to me having to keep my light on 24/7 (sorry mom,PSNG was wild). Now at almost 19 I’m putting his videos on and catch myself falling asleep because I can picture the situations so vividly it’s just my peace. The detailed descriptions, sound effects, images, the different voice tones. It’s all so professionally done and always has been since I was little. I appreciate all the hard work he puts into his videos and more than that I appreciate how consistent he has been over all these years, I don’t know how he does it. I hope you come out with your own story book one day mr.Nightmare seriously I’d read it in a instant. I can confirm the comments are true he doesnt ever miss.

Last year I sent someone an email trying to get through to them about the danger they were in living in the apartment building they were in . They took it as a threat and sent my info to police instead of the people who were trying to destroy the building and even started fires in it
Every time I watch one of your videos I get nostalgia to those sfm animated creepy pastas, good times
i've gotten so many emails from scammers saying that they were spying on me through my webcam and how my search history was disgusting and illegal, how i "did stuff" while watching those things. it was just hilarious because 1) they were sent to a work laptop that i never took home and 2) my webcam(s) have tape over it. obviously i never responded because it was all made up, but this is a great wake up call to those who may be gullible and that may respond to them, like in story 1. report phishing & block the senders!

See, I think about being an internet personality sometimes (as I'm sure we all do); but then I think about stories like #2, and how TH-camrs face the same thing, and I'm suddenly glad that it'll probably never happen.
