When these old masters were originally painted, the paint was flat and dull until they were varnished. That was the last step in the process. The varnish made the colors pop and also protected the painting. Over time the varnish would darken and get covered with smoke and dust until the painting could hardly be seen. Then it would be time to carefully clean off the old varnish, touch up any worn or damaged areas and revarnish. For a 500 year old picture this may have been done 3 or 4 times, maybe more. Varnish kind of harmonizes the surface. The different colors were made from different substances, and would reflect the light differently because of texture of the substances. Pour water into the jar of broken glass and it becomes clear because the light is no longer reflected as scattered.

This happens with a magnifying glas and lot's of time. 6 years she took to finish this one. Now, when you look close at the painting, you'll see little cracklings. The original color had been breaking into a billion pieces when the oil had dryed out. Al these little pieces are treated individually. Thos keeping the look and appearance. But the colors are enhanced and brought to better light. After all a fresh warnish will be applied. Oh ans, I don't think there is any controversy. I, and few others in this world know this to be true. But because we are so few, and very far between, normally we find it's useless to speak about these things in public fora, as most people would be too ignorant or intellectually incompetent to understand. That is not to say that we understand, though some of us may, it is instead to say that we are at least aware of an underlying implication in Da Vinci's works (as well as Michaelangelo and a few others) that is not immediately obvious, but hidden, and to be discovered by those with the faculties to discover. That said, though I may disagree with our like inviting the greater public fora to insights not readily seen, it is refreshing to find a taller structure (such as yourself) here and there on the topography of awareness, where all else stands flat and ignorant.

How ever, the restaurateur now only partially enhanced the existing colors.
More than 100 experts in the field of DaVinci classification, restauration and analytica have agreed that it's the masters hand who has been painting this. The resamblance to the hair of St John the Baptist in every possible way. Shading, tone, tecnique, brush stroke, depth and so on. This is most likely an original.

That’s entirely possible. An analysis of the painting showed that the techniques used in the Salvatore Mundi are similar to the techniques used on the Mona Lisa. It could have been Da Vinci or someone whom he passed his techniques on to.
@@pepinho89 If I remember correctly, I once read somewhere that Da Vinci's assistants were sometimes tasked with producing work in his style for clients who weren't as well-monied as some of his other patrons. It was a pretty common practice at the time. They also sometimes did "fill-in" work on paintings in which he'd produced the rendering of the main subject but didn't have time to do the broader border work.

Leonardo da Vinci once said “ art is never finished just forgotten” I might’ve chopped it 😂😂😂
Da Vinci's artwork are deeply encoded with truths about reality and the human body and mind's potential based on sacred geometry. "Know Thyself"
So true!
Geometric shapes are the foundation and basis of our physical reality. That’s is why. But they are usually found in rough representations. It’s uncommon to see perfectly symmetric geometric shapes.

The Mona Lisa is Leonardo Da Vinci when he was young. Also it's actually about 4 paintings each one is a mathematical code and all layers are part of the code. That's how freaking smart he was. By far no one comes close to how smart he was. Remember the artificial heart is his invention. Also the tank he wrote many books many was destroyed. When he was dying he was trying to finish writing a book. He had a favor to flight. It is said when he was child in the crib and bird landed on his face and that's where has passion or obsession with flight came from
He lived through some kind of natural disaster and was terrified of floods. So he was obsessed with being able to fly away.

Salvator Mundi is painted on a walnut board with a huge knot in it which became a huge split in the board. DeVinci did use walnut boards but would never have picked one with a knot in it. People wouldn't take a famous painting and just paint over them (not being condescending). But, some times artists themselves would start a portrait over another, not to finish the second. When all the easels and finished art are found (of a famous artist), people go through the artists estate and try to find or "recover" art that can be marketed.
