The Chaos is referring to the mass shooting epidemic because of the high number of terrorist attacks which involve shooting that our Republic has endured since this all started back with Columbine.
Although, yes there have been attacks on schools going back further than Columbine. That school shooting though is where alot of people believe this started.
There's been too many terrorist attacks involving shooting as many innocent civilians as possible I don't know exactly how many but once is too many times.

In most publicized cases those people were no where around because "mass shootings" almost always happen in "gun free" zones. If you do just a little investigation you will find that in places where guns are allowed crime is dramatically lower and "civilian sheepdogs" prevent crime or stop criminals on a regular basis.

It's worse. Times Square is a touristic hotspot. It's not only US citizens that think that. Everyone, regardless of what country they are from, thinks that when they're in US soil. There's a bunch of international visitors in that video and they all ran as well because they're thinking "I'm in America, mass shooting".

Imagine how people in other countries feel that really have to live through bombings and gunfire and IEDs every single day. Heck even in some parts of our major cities gunfire is as normal as the ice cream trucks music playing.

With all due respect, as a Texan and someone who's grown up their whole life shooting guns. While I agree that they are 2 very different sounds, you also have to think that this is New York City, Living in a big city(I've lived in both Houston and Dallas when they were at some of their worst crimes rates) and not hearing guns all the time, plus coming off the back of not 1 but 2 mass tragedy's and the media blowing things way up. It's caused a lot of fear of when will the next one happen. I can see how people who aren't used to hearing guns would mistake a motorcycle backfiring as gun fire

I have heard my friend's' motorbike make that sound before and it actually sounds like a gunshot, but its really weird how everyone continually ran after not hearing any "shots" afterwards.

I looked this up after watching Colleen Ballinger's video. She was one of those people running. It makes me so sad that shootings have become so common to the point of any sort of boom sound and everyone assumes it's a shooting. I hope the people injured recover quickly 🙏♥️
