Sounds like it was running good before, even on those ancient plugs. I definitely don't hear any misfire at all now. She should run a little harder and maybe get a little better mpg! There's nothing like that new tune-up feel, one of the joys of a car guy.
Looks and sounds great. When the roads are salt free take her out on the Parkway and give her a Italian turn up. That will blow out alot of old built up carbon.
I've long forgotten what is was like to live in a snowy place! Me? I'm cheap. I would've pulled out and "read" the existing spark plugs just as you have done. Since you found the spark gap to be out-of-spec...I would've regapped them to the correct spark gap. Then I would've evaluated the result. Would the engine sound and work better? I would try to find out with a road trip. That's when I saw...you're snowed in! Ugh.. Only after a road trip to test the regapped spark plugs would I have decided to buy new plugs (and/or wires) or not to. Being an military guy, I would not be able to even function without a technical manual. I loved reading them and learning about my cars. These helped me out when it was time to work on my own vehicles. I wish you a lot of fun road trips...after that snow clears. Aloha.

Should always use Autolite or Motorcraft spark plugs in a Ford. Those ACs might give you trouble.
