take good care of that corolla, you're so lucky to have found one with such low miles and that's not all rotted away and rusty. I was trying to find one in clean condition and every single one ss rusted away here in Illinois.
Nice video
That old Corolla is clean.
Ticking sound is low oil fool
The oil was full. I think the lifters needed to be adjusted.
Yo, where have ya been? Your vids are fun to watch. Keep it up dude!
Never saw a dumbass that can't jump a starter selinoids
Thats not your starter, definitely battery 21:23
Lol pull on it my ass you was using the wrong key lol I know I have a 1993 f150
What does your LTD have in it?
What going to happen to the truck do you want to sell it.
Can I have it
The Positive battery cable is corroded, cut it back an inch or two and replace the clamp .
what do you use to clean the body without damaging the paint ¿ im tryna clean mine and dont know how to start cleaning it without scratching the paint because it looks brand new
I love these trucks. I have a 1995 with 300 6cyl with a 5 speed I paid $300 for… and only 81k on the ticker!!! It sat for 10yrs and I gave it some loving care and still drive it every day
My 1995 f150 has 337,000 miles on it original engine and transmission
nice review....not sure why, but our 77 Landau had a few more 'upgrades'..power seats dr and pas side. front corning lights. reading rear pass lights, 8 track tape. 'chrono clock' LTD badge cover over trunk key hole. I put stiffer shocks so it rode pretty level when we were fully loaded...engine was not as powerful as our 71 LTD. I missed them both!
I saw your interior light was dim during the first video. Charge that battery overnight and try it again.
Charge battery. Have it load tested at auto parts store to make sure holds a Charge. Tap srarter with hammer while trying to start. May have voltage regulat on firewall that you can jump with screwdriver to get starter to turn. Can remove mounting bolts from starter to see if it's actually working. You would need a half inch pull bar to turn the motor by hand. Aroun 2 foot long. Good luck. Good try.
why you spraying the pullys with liqud wrench lol i think you got a lottttt of learning to do before your making any videos
You’re a rare young lad. I wish more young people were like you appreciating the old stuff. I’ve got the same car same colour but mines in 1975 Ford LTD Landau. I drove that car for many many years and I’ve got many many memories in it unfortunately at the time it was the only car I owned, and I had to drive in the winters here in Canada and the salt took care of the rust. Still runs like a top and drives great but I’m gonna have to use it for parts for my 1977 Ford LTD station wagon. It’s gonna hurt when I have to get rid of it but that’s just the way she goes I guess keep enjoying the past dude it’s way better than today’s crap 👍👍👍
What are you asking for the LTD?
Im asking $5500
Nice work! Good to see you again! 😊
Thanks
Nice to see a young lad interested in classic cars. Hope you find something good. Greetings from australia .

Battery is bad
I still have my 1978 ranchero that is based on this LTD platform. I have the 351/M engine and the car has never been to a shop. Very easy to work on and it still looks brand new. I love the utility and comfort, and it has been the best car I have ever owned, I bought it brand new in 78 to go to school in and it is still turning heads. These cars will run forever if you just take good care of them and do normal maintenance. Your LTD looks great, shame about the rust under the hood, but that is a result of your location and nothing you can do about it.
Put a couple those of For Sale papers inside the front windshield. Tough to see from the road when people are driving by. The more the better.
You are forgiven. Good luck going forward. I look forward to aeeing what you buy next
Hi guys! I have not read through the other comments yet, so this may very well be a reiteration of what others have said. I'm certainly not going to come in here and bash you guys for the work you're attempting to do, because we all have to start somewhere! A few things come to mind. First off, you really need a volt meter. Even a basic cheapy from either hobo freight, or walmart will do, it doesn't have to be top notch, but this will allow you to check power in various key places. Really thinking you don't actually have a starter issue, though it's possible, it sounds like more of a power issue. I'd recharge that battery fully, and use volt meter to verify that you have at least 12 volts, preferably closer to 13, at the battery itself. Next, take a good look at all your main connection points. Pay particular attention to where the ground cable runs to either the engine block, the frame, the body, or all of the above. A faulty ground will often cause a slow turning starter. An easy way to tell if a connection is offering way too much resistance, is to see if the connection gets extremely hot when trying to engage the starter. I knew the second you turned the engine over without the plugs in it, that it was unlikely to spin fast enough to start. Additionally, the small wire that plugs into the starter sollonoid (there may be 2, if that's a 4 pole system, but the one you're looking for is the one that goes to the pole usually marked I, on the unit itself. That wire provides power from the ignition switch when starting. Another trick is, I'm assuming that truck is an automatic, if so, try putting the truck in neutral, to see if the starter engages with the key. If it does, you may have a minor issue with the neutral safety switch. That's adjustable, but they have also been known to fail. Next, before replacing the starter, check the wire connection at the starter itself, it very well may be loose or corroded. I think you're on the right track, and I think some simple troubleshooting will show you where the issues are! I'll be watching for the next video to see what happens. PS: if that's been sitting a long time, you may want to remove the plugs, and use a bit of marvel mystery oil to shoot down each cylinder just to lubricate everything.. You may have done this in part 1 trying to get the engine unstuck, I didn't watch that one. In short, unless this sucker has a major issue, I don't think you're far off of getting it running!
Good taste in cars young man. My dad was a proud owner of a 1975 2 Door Ford LTD Landau. It became my first car.
It this truck for sale?
Not enough juice in the jumper pack too...
I can see debris in intake hole.. please clean that before you do anything man
Wow it spins.. By the sound of it it looks like timing chain is broke...
Also make sure its in Neutral or in Park
Skip the Solenoid. Hotwire the starter with positive..
Crawl underneath, push the teeth of flywheel using a crowbar. That might help
Use a fully charged battery.. keep hitting the starter with mallet while engaging starter.. also get a hydraulic jack to lift the car up and put the jack stands.. dont you go under that truck without jack stands..
Take off the fan shroud, air intake housing and pipes.. put the wrench with socket on the pulley, use a breaker bar to achieve more leverage to turn that engine..
Tap the starter with a mallet.. sometimes they seize after sitting idle for years.
Take off the air filter to free up some space to work around
Keep up the good work man.. i am subscribed.. now i want you to commit fully to fix this truck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bro you cut your hand... oh thats bad.. wear safety gloves man
Bro you wanna first check if there is any Oil in the engine? Then go ahead with the ignition...
tighten up the cables.
That's what I run in my tires is 35. psi.
Most Illinois vehicles are all rusted out. That oil looks good for a Illinois truck.
