    New Distributor from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ib/1AED...
This video shows you how to install a new distributor assembly in your 1992-1996 Ford F-150. The ignition distributor is responsible for delivering electricity to the right spark plug at the right time. A failed or damaged distributor will either lead to rough running or misfires, or an engine that won't start or can't run.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
    1992 Ford F-150
    1993 Ford F-150
    1994 Ford F-150
    1995 Ford F-150
    1996 Ford F-150

On a 96 f-150, you have to remove the SPOUT (spark output) near the ignition control module to bypass the computer and correctly time the engine. After timing, reconnect the spout.

Great instructions. I never did the three marks on the distributor, but I am from now on. I do suggest that, while wearing eye protection, you use an air hose and long nozzle to blow away debris from around the distributor to engine mounting area, and from around the spark plug holes.

What do you do when someone pulled the whole distributor out and didn’t mark anything or have it at TDC

ALSO: IGNITION TIMING WAS DONE INCORRECTLY. THE VECI on the hood should be looked at

NOTE: THIS IS A 1996 F150 with a *4.9 I6* engine, California and Federal 4.9s of 1996 are the same *for* half ton and I think some f250 applications. however, f350+ applications have different things going on and possibly have changes to this, but its unlikely.
Also locate #1 on the original cap because I have gotten an MSD or maybe pertronix cap with the molded 1 IN THE WRONG SPOT. dont even know how they could mess up that for a cast... but of you match the caps up rotationally(the tabs force the cap to fit on only one way!)
Also to note: I DO NOT SEE THE SPOUT BEING USED!! THIS IS NOT A VIDEO THATS ACCURATE FOR PURPOSES OF IGNITION TIMING SETTING. PLEASE USE OTHER MEDIA TO CONFIRM HOW TO SET THE IGNITION TIMING. COPYING THE MARKS OVER THE DISTRIBUTOR IS ASKING FOR KNOCK SENSOR AND PROGRAMMING to *not* like it

Lol once you reach TDC on the #1 pull dist then drop the other dist in which ever plug wire on cap the rotor is pointing to make it your #1 pull your pip and install spark plug then start and adjust until 10 deg btdc

Wait when did you first mark the distributor? I don't see that part of the video. You just mention that it has been marked

My rotar was pointing towards the #6 wire (1988 F150 I6). I am changing the entire distributor but it won’t go in with the rotar pointing to the #1 wire and wit the harmonic balancer marking TDC. The distributor went in easy with rotar pointing towards the #6 wire. Is this normal?

Also do not copy the OP if you want to bypass the AIR Pump,. without the air pump, the water pump pulley doesnt have the right wrap and that means 1) new serpentine now needed
    2) It wont spin the fan and water pump as intended
    3) tension issues
    4) wrap on other pullies
    5) The no ac truck had a larger water pump pulley and also had different cooling demands.
The owner also got rid of their DPFE sensor but left the EGR.... idiot lol
    The TIMING is WRONG here
