Dear Zuzko, česky to snad nenapíšu, tak bude to v angličtině. That's you who do a great job for us! Wow! All those idioms and expressions are so much valuable and are not to be found in any Czech Textbooks. That's what I've been looking for for ages. Really! You made my day and month. Thank you! Especially that dialogue at the end. To byla perlička, vopravdu. Prostě to budu učit nazpamět'.

Hello, Zuzka's subscribers. Christmas and New Year's Eve are coming up. I propose that we together thank Zuzka for her help to us. I think we all realize how much effort and teaching talent it cost Zuzka to fill this channel with the best Czech language content on youtube. I suggest that we all buy Zuzka a tea on her buymeacoffee link. Imagine the gift we all together can give her by the end of the year. Let's go! I will write this text under each video until the end of the year :) Thanks Zuzko!

Thank you so much, Ross! I appreciate you supporting my work in every way. And for whoever is reading this comment, Ross is currently studying with my videos to get ready for his Czech exam. _Držte mu palce!_ (Keep your fingers crossed for him!) And for whoever is preparing for an exam too, or simply learning Czech for pleasure - you've got this! Keep going! 💪 🇨🇿

Thank you for this useful video! I have a question... to me, Kristyna sounds rather apathetic and not supportive, as if she doesn't really care about her friend's problems. Did I understand it correctly? I guess it could also be just a cultural difference and I may not get it right because of my background... I'd appreciate your insight :)

It could be perceived that way too (imagine Kristýna wants to concentrate on reading a book and was not planning on getting engaged in the conversation but she still wants to say something not to be rude). It could also be that she is an easy-going person (or passive) who doesn't worry and this is her way of calming Vendula down. Of course, she could sound more empathetic and say something like "To mě mrzí" (I'm sorry) "Takhle se k tobě šéf nemůže chovat." (This is not how your boss should treat you).
Anyway, these phrases are universal when you want to show you're listening but if you want to show that you care, you can always add something more helpful and specific. :-)
