    I got a pair of Rokker jeans after watching your video. Rode them in temps from 30 to 100 degrees. Above 90, they are fine as long as you keep moving. Keep you warm in lower temps, would recommend a good thermal pant as well. Great quality. Makes you feels better protected. I have jeans that are 20 years old so why not invest in a good pair of riding jeans that will last 10 - 20 years. Met a guy head-on on the Dragon who went down and skidded about 30/40 feet. He was wearing full leather gear, full helmet, gloves, boots and got up without a scratch. Only his bike and pride were hurt. Protective gear works.

      Great jeans! I love mine too. You're right, protective gear works.

    -Icon Patrol 2 Boots I tried these on your recommendation after trying them on at my local eagle leather store. I really like them. If I was to change anything it would be the sole. In my opinion it is too thin. I put a thin sole under the original inner sole and that is working for me and I have a bunch of miles on them really comfortable. I used to take boots and sneakers on trips with the icon patrol 2 it was the only boot/shoe I took with me.

    Haven't been terribly impressed with Icon, but I love this kind of shorty boot. I really like that mechanism that replaces the laces on this one. That is cool. Probably won't need any boots for a few seasons, but I'll keep those in mind.

    Nice list. Pretty close to what I use. Had a Neotec, insurance paid out on that one after a crash messed it up. Now have a Neotec II. Protection of a full face, but the ability to pop it open and escape that hint of claustrophobia that sneaks in from time to time in a regular full face helmet. Revit jacket/pants survived that crash with hardly a scuff, still have them. New old bike is on its way to being rebuilt, working on the wiring harness now, so should be back on the road this summer after spending a few years bikeless. And yeah, Gerbing is nice in the winter. Rode from Portland to Eugene and back again one cold November night, and it started snowing on me in Salem(on the first leg). Thought my toes and fingers were sure to fall off, bought heated gloves and socks the next day. The liners in the Revit gear kept the rest of me warm though.

    I’ve got the Icon boots. Haven’t had a chance to ride with them much yet. They seem to be really comfortable and easy to get on and off. Just ordered heated gear yesterday, so I’ll get to try them out more shortly.

    On your recommendation I bought the Icon Patrol 2 boots. I usually wear a size 10 but had to go with the 11.5 for correct fit. Very comfortable beautiful boots. I also work for Law Enforcement here in Canada. Thank you for the great info.

    The Neotech II didn't fit my head. I upgraded my old Schuberth to the C3 pro and will be a Schuberth user for life. Thanks for the review!

      Good info Dan. Yah, agree, depends on what shape of head you have for sure on the different helmets and fitment.

    Those boots look great but the problem with them and pretty much all other riding boots is they do not come in wide sizes. I wear a 9.5 Wide or Extra Wide, but I cannot find riding shoes in that size especially ones with no heal. I end up having to get a size 11 just to get the right width.
    If anyone knows where to find a 9.5 Wide riding shoe with no heal I'd really appreciate it if you let me know where to find it.

    Ryan....having problems 10 months after your review finding the icon patrol 2 boots on any of your links...or on ANY listings on google ect....at least any size from 10 and up. Someone mentioned before icon seems to be discontinuing them....found a pair of brown ones in the size I need (11.5) in a store in the Netherlands...but with the added VAT ( value added tax) and shipping.,..it drove those puppies well above $250 with 4-6 week shipping.....SOOO....any ideas Ryan?....or anyone that has found some in the 11.5 - 12 range ?
    Thanks guys! Really would like a pair of these!

  • @RoadKing05FLHR
    @RoadKing05FLHR 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Are you going to be using the same helmets and other gear offroad or go with a helmet with more ventilation, more protective pants, etc?

    • @RyanUrlacher
      @RyanUrlacher  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I ordered this helmet for off-road/adventure and will be testing ==> bit.ly/2P0n01n. I am going to use the jacket and pants mentioned for now while riding off road as it's winter time. The coat and pants mentioned are super protective and both have armor. With that said, I'll definitely be testing some other off-road/adventure gear. Why? LOL, because that's what I do. Stay tuned and thanks for watching.
