- In this video, I'm reviewing the Shoei Neotec 2 & the Schuberth C3 Pro, both being high-end modular motorcycle helmets. I have tested both these helmets extensively, riding thousands of miles cross-country with each in an array of different conditions. I actually ride with the Shoei Neotec 2 each day on my police motorcycle, as it is my issued helmet. I personally bought both the Shoei Neotec and Schuberth c3 for my personal use so rest assured this is an independent review. I'll reveal the pros and cons of each helmet.

You're perfectly correct about the Shoes Neotec, the visor is terrible compared to the Schuberth. I did think it would wear in, but it hasn't. Regards sound/noise the Schuberth is defiantly quieter, maybe because it has a narrower profile. Apart from the visor issue I don't believe there is much between either. They are both quality helmets made to a very high standard.
Just sharing my experience with the C3 Pro, I had a cage pull out in front of me and I ended up flying over the car and landing on my head...what a bang that was and other than a broken vent I was ok, and so was the C3 Pro. Yes I was fortunate to miss the asphalt and land on the grass verge but still, that’s around 200lbs of me going straight down on top of it, and once a few friends helped straighten the forks / handlebars as best we could, and taped up what we couldn’t re-attach I rode over 200 miles home. Yes I needed a few days off work and was in a fair bit of pain but I had all the best Icon, TCX and Hood Gear on with full D30 armour beneath. All who saw it couldn’t believe I was ok, and walked away, now most the guys I ride with have all purchased either C3 or the new C4 pro’s. I like Bell, Shoei and Arai however for flip front helmets it’s Schuberth all the way for me.
A few things to mention. The first is that on the Neotech 2, the shield does lock down. The second is that I have installed the Sena 30k on my Neotech 2. I felt the SRL is like getting a 20 and not the latest technology. The third is that Schuberth helmets fit people who have rounder heads. The Neotech 2 is an intermediate oval helmet. So the best thing is to try them on (both of them) at a motorcycle shop before you buy them online. The Schuberth is quieter than the Shoei. Schuberth is known for making quiet helmets. I still wear earplugs on my Neotech 2.

I have shoei GT air and I love how quiet that helmet is. But I have been looking at the Schubert C3. I have never heard of them until now. Great review on both helmets and I made up my mind on buying the C3 now. Thank you Ryan!

I had a GT Air and when it needed replacement I bought some cheaper helmets, bad choice horrible wind buffeting on some. Recently bought a C4 and although some noise reduced with the tighter neck roll I am hearing buffeting around the side of the head. I wonder if it's just the wrong fit for me. The GT really is a solid well designed helmet. The main decision choosing between Shoei and Schuberth should be what is you head shape.
Been using c3pro past 4 years, the c3 for 2. Thanks for the comparison. Sticking with the c3pro. I've been using my sena s10, love it. Probably won't change it.
I've been wearing Shuberth C3 and then C3-Pro for many years . . . since the C3 first came out.
You like the smooth face shield action. Conversely, I wish the detents were deeper. If I raise the shield 1, 2, or 3 detents up, a gust of wind slams it shut. Happens especially when a large oncoming vehicle whooshes by. I'm constantly having to re-set the face shield where I want it. I think they could do that without making it clunky.
ALSO REGARDING THE FACE SHIELD, I wish it had a detent that put it so that it's barely cracked away from the closed position for humidity control. The first detent lets rain come in. The zero detent closes so tightly that it fogs up. A detent between the two would be perfect. And yes, I do use the PinLock shield in inclimate weather. However, the visibility isn't good for me for all-weather. In addition, I've left the PinLock installed on my older C3 for so long that it wallered out the holes! Didn't know it until riding into a cool rain and droplets/fog got trapped between the PinLock and the main face shield. It was horrible! So now, I keep my PinLock in the factory sleeve, padded between the left side of the tourpac and the tourpac liner. But doing this has its own drawbacks. If one rides into rain, the PinLock is stored and not on the helmet. Thus, the almost closed face shield detent would be great.
Regarding the neck pad. DON'T CUT IT TO ALLOW A CLAMP-TYPE Bluetooth unit to be fit. You'll ruin the neck pad. The plastic rod depends on rigidity to keep itself pressed into place and the little pins in the end to be seated. Cutting it will destroy that. Don't ask me how I know . . . but I do have a ruined neck pad around here somewhere. And putting the clamp inside the neck pad retainer is really clunky. There's got to be a better way. I'm considering a stick-on base for my Bluetooth unit and drilling a small hole for the speaker/microphone wires to pass. My current C3 Pro is nearing 5 years old, so I'm considering trying the hole since the lifetime of the helmet is getting near the end anyway.
That is all. I love my C3 Pro. It's gosh awful quiet. Hardly need ear-plugs with it; especially around town.

Hey, good review. I bought a C3 pro a couple yrs ago. I don't have the sun shield falling out issue but I do notice the pinlock scratches the main shield, so I don't use it all the time. I like it though and will probably get another when I need to.
I am not sure you are reviewing the C3 Pro. My C3 Pro has a different shape and design at the back and a different shape in the air vent on the forehead.
I am a simple man. I see someone reviewing two helmets I am trying to choose from, I subscribe)
When it was launched, I updated to C3 Pro and had it for like 6 or 7 years. I was simply amazed by the quietness - what used to be ear-ripping wind whine, was now just subtle hissing. I ride naked bikes without fairings, so the helmets are in direct windstream.
Years passed, and it was time to change my helmet due to its age. I went through Nolan N100-5 Plus and BMW System 7, which were great if you wear earplugs. But I'm a rebel and don't, so my ears would bleed with these. Especially the BMW was a disappointment, ear-ripping wind noise and it just looks like a fish bowl on my head (I wear 2xl).
So one last try, and I went with Neotec 2. And in all honesty, it is nowhere near as quiet as C3 Pro. It's quieter than the 2 previous ones, but still kinda requires earplugs. And that's the thing with Schuberth - they're specialized in wind noise control with helmets like C3 Pro.
So I discovered the noise level is the most critical factor for me, and now I'm buing my 2nd C3 Pro, and selling the Neotec 2. I feel the fit and finish in C3 Pro is just that one step further. They're both great helmets, but I feel it's like... switching from Mercedes E-class to Nissan Maxima. Both great, but just not the same.
I’ve been researching modular helmets for 2 days. I think I’m going with the C3. I never thought about wind noise when riding, even with a size too big and a naked bike. Can’t wait to get the correct size and helmet specialized in noise dampening.
@@jbeezy126 Sure, the C3 Pro is excellent helmet, my absolute favourite. Now using my 2nd C3 Pro and sold the Neotec, BMW and Nolan helmets.
I also had an oppurtunity to test the new C5, which is kind of "spiritual successor" of C3 Pro. Sure, it was very quiet up to 80km/h, but after that there was a sharp increase of wind noise beyond that speed which felt a bit disappointing.
It is also important to have a proper fit with the helmet - for many people the C3 pro might be too "round" (pushing your forehead), and then it's just not an option. It's not nice to ride when your forehead is "burning" :) In that case I would recommend the C5, which is actually a bit narrower and feels much like the Neotec on your head.
And the Neotec, it's a very good helmet too, and great option if the C3 just doesn't fit or "feel right" on your head.
hmm, just what i feel. recently bought the neotec 2, but to my surprise it is too noisy! i still cant understand why shoie doesnt step up in that area.
so tomorrow i will go to my dealer and return the neo for a 3 pro.
@@globalteamwork4light Just make sure the Schuberth properly fits your head. Especially try to make sure it's not making a hotspot on your forehead.

No problems with my faceshield on my Shoei. Would be nice for 2 tabs but again doesn’t cause us problems. Finally got my HD headset installed and still using the cord setup, was going too return the helmet but I worked it out. So for after years of riding haven’t found a perfect helmet. Still wearing earplugs know matter which still is on my head. Like my Shoei Neotec 2. Great video.

Have the Shoei Neotech 2 . The helmet fit is hard to beat best I’ve ever worn.
SRL system sucks due to Sena issues and the fact there is no quick charge can’t charge on the go . Recommended to not charge till battery is dead and only charge for 2 1/2 hours.
For fitting Cardo on Neotec 2 really isn’t an issue have it on two helmets and they work great. Solved most all the issues that I had with Sena.
The sun visor never have had a issue.
Just wished Shoei would had dropped that front vent down just a hair to let air in when riding with the clear shield up. .
For the plastics tab to lift the visor not an issue in the DCT . You know 21st century technology to go with 21 century bike.!

What I love about the shoei shield is that yes it seems clear but at highway speeds and above that shield won't move ,unless you move it,same can't be said for other brands, in the end it's to each their own I guess.
I use the Schuberth C3 Pro Women's helmet and love it very much, best fit for my head, never had a problem with the sun visor, Sena 30k attached and no increased noise, great light helmet. I use Arai but they don't have modular. I've not used the Shoei but came here to see the review; I was contemplating purchase to save money from the c4 pro possible upgrade. Thank you very much.
I am thinking of buying a Shuberth for my wife because it appears to be comfortable for her-this will be the fourth attempt. I have Sena 20s though. Worried about getting it to fit.

I have been riding for 53 years and have had every helmet. I found the most important factor is fit. Some helmets are made for round heads and some for oval heads. I have an oval head. Best helmet for me is the Shoei Neotec. Although, I prefer to have J&M Audio (Tucson, AZ) install hard wired headset and microphone in mine.

I ended going Shoei Neotec 2 because it just fit my head better. Also, I haven't had the sticky face shield problems that you are experiencing. The mechanism on my helmet seems to work smoothly. Maybe mine is more broke in? I'm curious, since you have both, which in your opinion vents better between the Neotec and the Neotec 2?

I've just bought a neotech2. Its the first "premium" helmet I've had and it is worth every penny. I ride a cruiser so buffeting and wind noise were an issue. The Shoei has none of those issues. Even at, shall we say, enthusiastic speeds its quiet and rock solid stable. As for comfort it is perfect. Mine is a medium with the thicker option cheek pads and it fits perfectly with equal pressure all over, no tight spots or feelings of a void anywhere. I did look at the Schuberth, but its looks didn't float my boat. So far I've only put a few hundred miles in with it but I am blown away by it.

I have the Schuberth C3 but recently got a newer bike with Apple Car Play. I cannot get a Harley wired headset to mount on my C3 and Apple Car Play will only work consistently with a Harley headset. Any advise on this??? Thanks and as always great video.
as a schuberth c3 and e1 owner i have to say that the visor hinges that you prise so much, does wear out very fast. after that the visor won't stay stay up in it's firtst notch ore even fully opened. my mrs as a pillion rider on a bmw gs adventure has that issue. i fixed that issue though with a mc guyver fix. and the pinlock does leak. the flip front does not lock smoothly sometimes. other than that they are good helmets. the mrs needs a new helmet so it will be a shoei next.
Ryan, thinkin of going to the Schuberth (from early model Neotec). How bout fitment between the 2. Planning on ordering on line. Been wearing a XL Neo.
Both are great helmets. For me, the C3 pro felt better on my head and face. It also looked more proportionate to the L size, as with the Shoe, being a little bigger helmet, I felt was wearing a 3xxl.
What would be really nice if all helmet manufacturers put the lift tab for the visor in the center so that the whole mechanism isn’t twisting when being opened. I have had a Neotec 2, and you’re right, it was a pain in the neck to open.

Good review. I have both helmets and for my wide big head the Shoei fits better, but I like the quality of the Schuberth better. I did buy the inter graded intercom system on the Schuberth but I always have difficulty in connecting my buddy..

C3 Pro uses the Sena SM10UA designed for integration. Schuberth also provides 2/3rds the price paid towards a replacement if you have an accident in the 5 year warranty
The issue with the clunky shield? Was that fixed on the Neotec II?
I've never had the sun visor drop out on the C3 or the C3 Pro (I have both). I have noticed though, that it does take some finagling to _correctly_ seat them in the arms. You have to make sure that they lock in.
I have a Sena clamped to my C3 Pro. It fits fine and doesn't increase the wind noise.
Bike Farkles how do you feel about the comm system. Most of my friends have Sena. Any recommendations?
@@twolrbuffalosoldier5514 I have both the Sena 10C Pro (which has the camera attached) and the Schuberth SRCS. If I don't need the camera, I usually put the SRCS system into the helmet. It takes about 5 minutes or so to swap the systems over.
*Looks*
The SRCS looks the best as it replaces the neck roll and is very unobtrusive. The Sena sticks out the side of the helmet like a carbuncle.
*Operation*
This is a probably draw as they both have good and bad points. The Sena's _Jog Dial_ is a very good idea but I find the buttons on the SRCS easier to use. Trying to remember how to access the functions on both is not good even with the voice prompts.
*Sound*
The SRCS is made by Cardo, has a built in antenna but the sound and radio reception isn't as good. So this one goes to Sena as the quality of the sound and the radio reception is much better than the SRCS. Note: the latest Cardo Pack Talk Bold has much better speakers (JBL) and would win hands down.
*Features*
Between the SRCS and the Sena the Sena is more modern and connects to other devices easily whereas the SRCS even has difficultly connecting to other, older SRCS devices. So this one goes to Sena
*Conclusion*
If you want integrated, then go for the SRCS.
If you want the best MESH system with the best sound go for the latest Cardo Pack Talk Bold.
If Most of your friends have Sena then go for the latest Sena
I'd see if I could test both the Latest Cardo Pack Talk Bold and the latest Sena then make my choice.

I’m sorry but that’s NOT the Neotec 2. Most of the complaints about the visor for example are not correct. That’s ok to review the previous version of Neotec, but not ok to advertise as an Neotec 2 comparison.
When I was in the market, I checked out the Shoei Neotec, the Schuberth C4, the AGV Sportmodular and the HJC RPHA 90S Carbon.
All four are outstanding helmets, but the AGV & HJC are the lightest and the HJC has a much more affordable price point. At just over 1,300 grams the RPHA 90S Carbon weighs about the same as the Sportmodular but is much lighter than the Neotec (1,700) or the C4 (1,660).
After about 5,000 miles with the RPHA, I can honestly say ventilation is outstanding, but it's a bit noisy. Pinlocks are useless to me since I wear prescription eyeglasses and they still fog up. I can ride with the chin bar up and it does not affect weight balance or buffeting. I'm happy with my decision.
I've been wearing a C3 since last summer, and didn't even know the visor latched when pushed down another 3mm.
It’s a year later now so I hope you got it off.
How does the shoei compare to the c4?

Were you able to add the Haley branded Boom 20s? Just ordered and then realized that the C4 Pro is prewired. Now I wonder if it will work with Harleys proprietary syste=m while being able to use the Shubreth internal mic and speakers

Have used Shoei Neotec 1 for several years. Cons: face shield difficult to remove and install and can only buy tinted Shoei shields from Shoei Japan thru Amazon. The inability to mount communicator on Neotec 2 is a deal breaker for me. Important to me is the ability to change cheek pad size and is an option for Schuberth and Shoei. Just wish you could buy the helmet with the size you need rather than spend extra.
You can install a blue tooth device other than the SRL on the helmet. If I could send a picture I would.
Ryan, you mention the visor on the C3 being smother and easier to operate. Others have mentioned the C3 visor doesn’t stay put when not In the fully closed position. Have you seen this issue? I tend to ride with my visor open at least part of the way unless it is cold or raining. I wear a Shoei RF1200 now and I ride with the visor in the first detent from fully closed when it is raining for air circulation. Have you experienced any issues with the C3 Pro shield staying in place while riding with shield partially or fully open?
Anyone else using a C3 Pro seen this issue ?
Yah, I rode many times with the C3 shield partially open and had no problems with it closing.
I've been wearing my C3 Pro for a little over a year now...I get the forehead pain on long rides, even though I ordered a size bigger than I usually wear, so obviously, they haven't worked that problem out yet!!!

Ryan,, when you said " I hope that wasn't to confusing"... for me it was... talking about the blue tooth systems and what works and what doesn't... or what almost works... throws me off a bit... I was scratching my head ... Also years ago I used to wear full face helmets. But I got away from them. Can you do a review on 3/4 helmets or half helmets for those of us that want a good lid but not the full face style? Hi Ryan, couple of things. I have the Shoei. Good helmet but I did agree with you on two things. That helmet is noisy. I would never say it’s a quiet helmet. I have two speakers in it for music and it’s cranked all the way up because of the wind noise. Second it fogs up with any type of rain or fog or humidity. I have taken it back to the dealer and they have tried everything to get it to stop but it still fogs up under those wx conditions.
I just purchased an Arai and going to see how that helmet is.

Hey Bruce, when y'all say 'the dealer tried everything', did that include Rain-X anti-fog? Might be worth a shot, it's not expensive.
If y'all have already purchased a different helmet, I guess it's a moot point.

The 2 different guys that were working on it we’re probably going out of their minds trying to figure out how to stop that helmet from fogging up. It’s still a good helmet. Just wind noise and the fog problem. Even with the ARAI on the way I will be using the Shoei. Thanks for the help.
Just purchased my Neotec 2 and coming from HJC modular, which I actually had no problems with, the Shoei will make you fall asleep in comparison to wind noise. Yes still wear earplugs know matter what style helmet I wear.
Just bought a HJC RPHA 90, first modular, coming from Aria Rxq. Really enjoying the flexibility of the modular. I find it to be very well made, fit and finish, quality of components. I do believe it is lighter and cheaper than both of these. Just another option I believe can compete with these two helmets. But I'm sure both of these helmets are great as well.

@qf76mnd15 when you say loud do you mean it let's in outside noise or are you saying it rattles and makes noise itself?
Is that a c3 pro or c3 lite? The vent looks like my c3 lite. I thought the pro had a split look on the vent.
@ekim andersom Yep, leave it to the US to be different :) Here in the US the C3 Lite is basically a regular C3 that can be found in most of the world. We only have C3 Lite and C3 Pro available here. Not sure why they call the regular one a "Lite".
Must be American marketing to make it seem inferior or something to make people think they need a Pro. I'm happy with my Lite.
Brian: C3 Lite comes minus pinlock and is not as quiet at 84db vs 82db for Pro. I think shape and vent is different too.
I have the shoei neotec 1 and 2 and your helmet is the neotec 1! Wanted to see your review because originally I replaced the neotec 1 with the schuberth c4 which was awful. Definitely try out the neotec 2!
I have an original C3. It’s really quiet, but it is kinda tight on my ears (I also have super sensitive ears). But apart from that I’m very happy with it.
I use thee LS2 Valiant I like the 180 degree flip of the face shield. Not the overall quality of the the two reviewed here, but for $399 I like it very much. 3.8 pounds as well.
How about sound performance?
This was a good discussion. But - if you're comparing a Schuberth C3 Pro with a Neotec 2, you really should have used a Neotec 2 helmet instead of the Neotec 1. I kept looking at the chin vent wondering why it had a different flipper from mine, and finally when I looked at the neck strap, I realized you were using a Neotec 1 since it has the D rings.
Don’t know what happened. I’ve been using Schubert c3 (I had two that I used to exhaustion) and now I have a C3pro and a E1, that I’ve used for literally thousand and thousands of kilometers and never, ever, ever I had the sun visor come off. You have to mount it the right way after you take it off for cleaning p (which is very easy). Not a worry whatsoever. Anyway, good video and review. Best of luck.
Used my Schubert C3 Pro for 2 years and never had an issue with visor.
C3 Pro is quiet, very quiet…..and feels absolutely great on your head. It’s a magnificent helmet
I’m curious if Schubert paid you to do this video. Just the way you handled them visors completely different to show how hard it was to get the visor to go up.

Ive had a multitec and now a neotec 1, Im looking for another helmet now. I tried the schuberth but couldnt find a size that fitted. They are completely a different shape. (shoei=medium, schuberth large=too small, XL=too big). Im sure they are great helmets but unfortunately they just dont fit me
I have the same problem with them. I won't buy one that doesn't fit. Sure glad that the Shoei fits.
Can you pair the SRC to the SENA Freewire? I have the C3 Pro with the Schuberth SC10 U. The module hits the back of my head and the Mic does not stay in place. It sounds fine but it's a poor design. You can also add the bigger JBL speakers to the SRCPro

My wife and I wear earbuds with our Sena 20S's while riding but we're considering switching to the Cardo system since we don't ride with anyone. Can an earbud jack plug into the Cardo add-on in the Schuberth?
Also, can either shell's check points be spread a little while putting on to clear said earbuds or her stud earrings?

@@stevemeiners2226 I've ridden the Schuberth thousands of miles cross country with no earbuds at all. No issues at all. Quietest street motorcycle helmet in the world.
Ryan I just purchased a new helmet and I ruled out the shoei because of that integrated comm system. I want to use the 20 or 30k sena without the added mounting problem. I wound up going with the HJC arpha 70 st. Its very similar to the shoie GT air that I originally want to buy but the shoie GT air has been discontinued. Maybe I'm to picky but I want a comm system that is fully integrated with the Harley boom box.

My experience with C3 pro is that the pinlock inside is very bad. Actually I’ve read somewhere that it’s abig defect they have fixed with C4. For bad I mean the cheapest “pinlock 70” which really does not work. With this helmet I’ve been scared for the first time in my 30 years bike riding, because I was totally in the fog during a simple rain in chill weather. I’ve contacted Schuberth and the only reply was that I may be wrong so they gave me a new shield. I bought q Shoei and no problem found in 4 years. Ciao

I’ve found the RoadGlide is more stable while riding 80mph and big trucks passing, etc.

HIGHSPEED DRAG55 I sport a Neotec 2 as well with my ElectraGlide.
The helmet does well in high winds, but I can’t stand the faring buffeting effect on the interstate which is why I’m thinking about the RoadGlide.

2 days ago I intended to get the Neotec 3 @ cycle gear. I came across with C3 pro and while I'm comparing them same size and C3 pro has a small footprint. over an hour back and forth trying them and I decided to go with C3 pro. then it rang less $100 in store! I'm an owner of Arai XD4 and Arai Regent. C3 pro rocks! mind you I don't have any fairings for my bmw R18 100 yrs edition.
@@ad78 I also have an R18 - ‘21 Classic. I have the C3 Pro and if for no other reason than the ease of changing the face shield, I’ll stick with Schuberth. My Scorpion was a nightmare. C3 Pro fits me well and is noticeably more quiet.
You mentioned that the schuberth shield is easier to operate. Does it stay open at speed when cracked opened a couple inches?

I run the shoei neotech 2 and absolutely love it. Never had a problem lifting the visor, super smooth and easy to open. Super quiet and extremely comfortable. Very happy with my investment.
Neotec 2, you can screw down the spring tension and lower the tension. Hilarious, you didn’t know that. The Schubert’s is horrible venting, hot as hell, but the Neotec is heavy, agree there.

There is a company that sells a replacement for the WHIM that allows STEREO to any headset. Same form factor, mounts to same WHIM bracket, etc. No longer are you forced to use HD branded headsets. I have one in my 18 Ultra Limited and it works great. Stereo music to my Cardo or non-HD Sena SMH-10.

I dont have that issue at all with my neotec visor. I wonder when you feel the need to open it with your right hand. When do you operate the clutch while having you're right hand off the handle bar? I imagine you use the right hand for a stop sign. But by then my helmet would have been flipped up using my right hand. I never felt the need to flip the visor with my right hand in 20 years.
Every intersection when slowing down to a stop when hot. Right hand off the throttle, clutch in left hand, slowing to stop, reach up with right hand to open as slowing. Do it daily on my police Harley.

Recently I noticed and I have the habit of opening my visor with my left hand when still slowing down. Never really payed attention to it. But when at a full stop indeed the visor os harder to open. However, if you dont close it till it clicks, it can be opened with the right thumb. Finally, thanks for the great review.
Kid of disappointing. I have the Neotec 1 that you used as a Neotec 2. On a Concours 14 and an ST1300, I find it loud. I use and hate a Sena 20S which is not loud enough with earplugs. Having discovered earplugs years ago, I will not ride without them. I would have liked to know if the Neotec 2 was quieter than the Neotec 1, but you didn't review the Neotec 2. Obviously, I don't ride your bike, but the comparison would have been nice.
I don’t understand why companies limit themselves by offering specific brands for their product. It just limits the amount of customers possibly looking into that particular product. I’m sure they are making money off the partnership but turning off customers at the same time.
I've done many miles with my C3 and C3 Pro. I have never had the visor drop out of either of them. I find the ventilation much better on the C3 Pro, Which is why I bought it. Only negative with the C3 series is that they have designed the face shield to shut automatically at speed as a safety feature. The C3 slams shut at very slow speed which is super annoying on hot days. The C3 pro ratcheting is a litter stiffer but it still slams shut at about 40mph. I like to leave it open one notch on hot days to improve the ventilation. That is my only negative with the helmet.

Big fan of LAB, disappointed in this vid. Comparing/reviewing a Neotec II ,but with a Neotec? It's like reviewing the 2020 Indian vs. the 2020 HD, but you only have a 2015 HD to use. It's close enough.

@@RyanUrlacher I get it, they don't give really good helmets away for nickels and dimes. If you know several that use it, probably could have borrowed one for the video side by side. I have a Neotec II and had to go out and see if my visor was as difficult as what you were showing on video, fortunately for me, not even close.

I agree. I have a Neotec II and it doesn't look like this. The lower front vent is totally different. My windscreen has a smooth ratchet, too.

Sure the shape is from the Neotec 1 and the Neotec 2 is more or less similiar, but it's two different helmets. Also about the Visor, with the Neotec 2 you also have this "clicking" sound once it's fully closed. If you pull the visor down about 3mm before full closing there is a small hook. So sorry to say, despite your other videos this is a really dissapointing one
I bought a c3 pro and i guess i got a dud cause the one i have is awful lol. The chin bar doesnt latch properly the majority of the time and it doesnt vent at all and i ride in Florida so crazy hot. I bought the shoei and its worlds better IMO. The c3 pro is a lot better looking but now it just sits in a helmet bag on the shelf.

The shoei shield works perfect. He must have spent 10 minutes griping about it and kept grabbing it from odd angles...when its on your head just grab it with the tab and it works fine
Actually, I ride every day on my Police bike and it's up and down all day. Yes, the older Shoei as this one is, has a problem when trying to open it cross body.

Shoeii es mas "duro" para que cierre bien y apretado en cada paso del visor, y no se baje por el viento, y para eso tiene dos resortes que siempre mantienen el visor en tensión bien sujeto. Por otro lado, cuando lo cierras completamente, esa misma pestaña que te sirve para abrirlo, si la aprietas hacia abajo hace un "click" y queda sellada. He usado ambos y el mecanismo de shoei es mucho mejor. El de schuberth se vence con el tiempo, se suelta un poco.
That's not the c3 pro, I own one, The C3 pro has a spoiler or wing in the back and your is totally round like the regular C3.

Not a big fan with the modular helmets. I always see people riding with them up and loose all the protection of a full face helmet
Yah, they should only have them up when stopped etc. We have ours up to talk when stopped etc at intersections. Then they go right back down when we go. I guess it's like seatbelts. You can provide safety, but not everyone will use it or use it properly.

Shoei is in a different class to Schuberth, the visor on the Schuberth might be ok sitting at a desk, but riding at speed it will slam shut and not stay in the city cracked position either.

Interesting. The C3 Pro that is reviewed in this video, has a different top vent opening than the one that revzilla reviewed of the C3 Pro. The one that is in this video looks to be just the regular C3. The C3 Pro has some improvements to it. Ahh, you do mention around the 10:30 mark that the C3 Pro is basically not the one in this video. Really, this video should be labeled that you're reviewing the C3, not the C3 Pro.
I believe that's the Noetec 1 not 2 as I'm wearing one for the last 3 years.. The vent at the rear for Neotec2 is fixed as opposed to the Neotec1 where it's 2 positions. The front chin vent is also different as Noetec2 vent is larger.

Ref SCHUBERTH C3 PRO HELMET. Additional notes: I had issues with this helmet. 1. I had to exchange mine for a larger size since my regular size was too tight. As with your recommended foot ware, which Revzilla recommends going with a size larger. 2. Since I ware glasses, it is still a tight fit, so I put my glasses on after I don the helmet. On the plus side, the optics on the Shuberth are far superior to my HD helmets.
This is not a Neotec 2 (its the Neotec 1 you have) and this is not the C3 Pro either....

Had Schuberth helmets for over 10 yrs. Great helmet, but dislike being "locked in" to the their Bluetooth option.
