Savanna and Liam looked pretty fired up to prepare the meal. I remember my grandma showing me how to cook. Those little ones will remember that experience, always. Outstanding video, sir.
I will be in Shell Beach this winter at Fishin Fools. Can't wait to have some trout for dinner. I will try your recipe for sure. Another way to use heavy cream is to put some in a pan and bake the fish in the sauce with a slice of onion, a slice of tomato and a slice of lemon on top of the filets to cover them. When the fish is done put each covered filet on a plate and then thicken the cream in the pan with a bit of rue, salt and pepper to taste. Put that over the plated filets.
Man glad you found some trout after the storm over on cypremort point end there are nothing but catfish every where. Gonna take a ride out on the boat this weekend and see what I can find though
Watching you over in the 337 brother, St. Landry Parish. Man I’m so jealous you get to catch specs that easily lol. I hope one day I can link up with you some how and get out there to hook up on some.
Great video and certainly will try your recipe. You mentioned Okuma X series rod. What length and action rod are you using? You have no problems casting a 1/4 oz. jig with your baitcaster and this rod. My current rod works Ok with heavier baits, so appreciate knowing more about your set up. Thanks.
Hey Todd is that the daughter who lost her shades on your Father/Daughter crabbing trip? Either way it looks like a third cooking krewe member is on the way. Congratulations to you & Mrs Marsh Man !!!
Tried teal hunting not that far from where those fish were and we saw very few teal. Was planning a Venice teal trip but my Venice connection had an issue with his mud boat and gonna stay home tomorrow, working on an Atchafalaya Lake Basin skiff,20 ft boat, that older son and I built way back in Katrina year and unfortunately, one side was not adequately protected from rain water and I ended up taking off nice Spanish cedar trim on Port side and tore out bunch of rotted wood. Got plenty expertise fixing up boats and got some very nice tips from some ole-time professional boat-builders and hoping to at least fix rotted side and start the fun process of laminating entire hull.Gonna be fine boat and next month is the Madisonville Wooden Boat Festival!!!My son and I were in the Second Boat-Building class and I have seen a few of the boats our class-mates skillfully constructed.Think a 70 hp maybe 60 would be ideal for this soon-to-be fine rig.The underside looks just like it was the day we finished building her.Nice spot and the pilings gave it away!!
One of my favorite sounds is a popping cork with a wiggling trout on the hook!
The best catch and cook ever!

If that cooking segment doesn't make you smile, there is something seriously wrong with your heart haha. Great episode.
What a joy to cook with your grandkids. They are precious. I called my grandfather PaPa also. He was a great fisherman and fish cook.

Good job Paw PAW letting them help You!!Nice to see big trout this early!!
Hey Pawpaw thanks for great video! Power Prawn Jr with tail dipped in chartreuse garlic dip works great as well in less clear water.
Man I love that power prawn! I’ve caught so many fish on that lure since I’ve started using it

That's her. Good memory. That was four years ago. Our third grandchild (second grandson) is due in November.
What’s your reason for putting fish on ice when you have a live well? Are you benefiting anything from putting them on ice?
Was that bayou lacombe
Bayou bonfuca

15 Speckled Trout limit. That's crazy too many. Why in Texas we can only keep three.😢
