@gd3design63 they used to be caught in insane numbers around the Wrightsville jetty. Back in the 70s it wasn't a big deal to catch a 10lb weakfish off the jetty. I know some old timers that have told me nobody would raise an eyebrow at one until it was up around 13lb
Man, this was a long time ago! But, it's all still relevant today. Wish they would bring this back to TV again!

Great show, but a speckled trout is not a weakfish. They're closely related but are very much two separate species. Am I missing something?
