You've got quite a pair, my friend. After telling about the damage to your helmet, that could have been to your head, you jump in this glorious deathtrap without one and rip it to 59MPH. What a great video series, and what a great bit of engineering! Kudos!

You just put a smile on a 50 year olds face, that hasn't had one this big since he was 18 and had a Gremlin mini bike with an 18 horse engine on it.
    Thank you my friend!

Just went back to all your videos and watch the go-kart build which is pretty awesome my son took a snowmobile engine and shoved it in a Polaris four-wheeler kind of the same situation but I truly do love the little Memorial at the end They're Not Just Pets their family so thank you

I sure did enjoy all six of the go cart build videos. You sure are a master of the machine shop. This is my new favorite channel.
I really like the old car, truck ect. revival videos. You are living what this viewer dreams of.
Thanks, and looking forward to more videos!

Love the build. I bet it brought back memories when you rode around in it for the first time. Memories of when you were a kid and you were going to upgrade your cart, paint it, wheels etc when you got older.

Carburetor's are constant velocity type and they are a real bitch to get synced! I'm worried that the next place to flex will be just forward of your seat but a piece of flat bar welded on edge under the tube like the old axle setup should stiffen that up! LOVE IT!!!! LOL!

  • @jtcustomknives

Another trick for increasing breaking power is to move the disk to the jack shaft and take advantage of the gear ratio. It’s what monster trucks do but there is up by the drive line. This way thy can run tiny rotors and calipers. But I’m not sure on your gear ratio but it looks like your stepping down to the dead end so that won’t works.

i put a 650 Kawasaki 4 cylinder on what started as a lawnmower frame and grew to a 4 tire at the back and dune buggy front end together in the 90's was so much fun.I could float in water if i kept going. was slow on takeoff But Lord thunderin Jebus once rolling Eye carumba ! My balls gave out and the will to live came back at 105 mph {on a dirt road}..It could go 150 mph easy..I'll say like u..."Not with me on it!!!!"Finally i lost her and was going to die on a big Pine so i Bailed out in Flight over the ditch. I year of rehab,A leg that now bends both ways, broken ribs...but did better than the "go cart"...it hit straight on a Gigantic pine, exploded{pretty much} set a big fire and they found parts REALLY far from the crash...o and i had to crawl on the road with broken stuff cause the fire caught up to me in the Ditch where i landed..I was in 5th when i lost control !!!!!!!!!...So here is what i learned,,,short wheel base SUCKS ,because once u are in a wobble ,its all over but the tears...Your buggy is awesome...thanks chad
