  • In this very first video on the second channel of This N That Garage I see if this old 1939 John Deere B will run. Also, this antique 100+ year old sorghum press made my molasses taste like axle grease! Come see what I do to fix that issue!

Loving the new channel! I like old stuff like that press. I bought a 1hp briggs & stratton side shaft engine back in the summer. I give a whopping $10 for it. I want to restore it this winter. Like i said on your last video, i'll watch whatever you post. Big ol thumbs up!

I have seen my dad make molasses with a different type engine. The molasses poured out into a large tub. That’s where it was boiled down. It’s brings back a lot of memories. Love this channel keep it up. I remember dad with a big paddle, stirring the juice.

I don't comment very often, but the memories that old J.D. tractor brought back put me in a hayfield watching the grass fall over an old sickle bar. Pulled on that flywheel when it was still green over 60 years ago but it seems like yesterday. I will not miss any of your videos. Love the old stuff Thank You for the memories.

I love the old tractor content. In my younger days i had a good friend who had a small collection of around 10 ole 2 popper deeres. We used to take to all the parades and tractor show. I hand cranked a many ole 2 poppers. He has since passed away. It was a great time in my life and learned alot from him.

Had a good laugh seeing all the grease. No wonder the molasses tasted bad. Thanks for showing that old machine. I'm surprised that old tractor started up like it did. Gas was dripping out of the carb, then you would open the choke and gas would pour out. It didn't care, it started right up. I hope your neighbor can have some fun working on it. That outlook is what is keeping him young.

Now this was awesome. Love the old machinery, Chad. I tell ya I feel your pain with them new gas cans. All junk! I ended up breaking the plastic crap too before using it. All junk, brittle and cost an arm and a leg. I ended up getting a few Jerry cans from harbor freight and use the battery operated fuel transfer device. Fantastic video, always a pleasure to watch.

Love the new channel!!! I'm originally from Maine and I used to pick apples at an orchard. They had a machine very similar to that one that they made cider with. I loved using it. I think I was maybe 10 or so. That was way before child labor laws! We worked from sun up to sun down during picking season. Heck we even got time off from school for it course that was over 40 years ago.😁

I love your og channel and content and hope you don’t change it! That being said, this is the kind of stuff I really enjoy and I’m super glad you made the second channel and look forward to more vids of yours no matter what the content. Oh on the emulsion tube, you can tap them (1/4-20 or 28 I believe is the size) and use threaded rod and a piece of tube or the like over the stem of carb and pull them out. Just clean and lube it as well as possible first and the threads don’t affect operation any. Keep up the good work!!

I bought some wasp spray at Wallyworld. I bought the cheap stuff,of course. Went to spray the wasp nest, and all it did was piss em off. Anyway, I'm not one to read directions. After escaping the fury of the wasps, I read the directions. Said shake vigorously. What happened was the bad stuff settled to the bottom. It worked after I shook it. Maybe I'll read the directions now, probably not. Good video!

Love your new channel, born and raised in Iowa, I talked to a couple of old timers that raced flat heads on a dirt track, they filled their tires with molasses, ran John Deere dome pistons for high compression, put oat meal in a leaky radiator, and used goose fat for bearing grease and burned corn alcohol for racing fuel , I was amazed at the county fair to see home made tractors converted from a model-t, I'll be waiting for the next episode, cool content, good job.👍
