A really nice review. Gives a feel for the resort. I am considering going here with my father so looks like a fairly peaceful spot! I've been to Punta Cana a bunch of times but more than 10 years ago. I've stayed at Tropical Princess, Bavaro Princess and Hard Rock. Hard Rock feels very American and grand while the Bavaro Princess is more like little villas and has a bit of a marshland feel with flamingos etc. Not sure how they are so many years later. Looking to try out something new so this video helps with that! Cheers!

I’m glad you enjoyed it. Dreams Onyx is a little nicer property in general. However if you are a group of only adults, take a look at Secrets Royal Beach, where you can use both the Secrets and Dreams resorts.

Was this a tour of only the preferred club areas or was this a tour of areas that everyone has access to? Thanks!
Awesome and congratulations. The Dreams areas we walked through were all access. There is a smaller area toward the beach we did not go into. Once on the beach, there are also preferred and non preferred areas which have different types of loungers.

I heard you mentioned you had reservations at the secrets restaurants.. we are staying at secrets royal beach next spring and our travel agent said they don't take reservations aside from the hibachi? Wondering how hard it is to get a reservation and if you did it ahead of time. Great video- I watched both. Thanks!
Thank you for watching! You are correct, the Hibachi is the only one that required reservations. Although the resort was full, getting the reservation was pretty easy. They have 3 sittings each night. I would definitely inquire as soon as you check in and be flexible about day and time. Thanks again and enjoy!
Also if you are preferred club your Butler can make reservations at all the restaurants so you don't have to wait. This really helped us since we were there during the high sesson.

The raised beach tower beds are an extra cost but includes a private bar tender and food service. Along with champagne and any other amenity. They are all day reservations. Not sure of the price.

Great video looking into that resort now were you able to get a good steak dinner at either one same quality of beef steak you would get in the USA
I would say its the quality of a really good mid-range steakhouse. We enjoyed it.
What time of year did you go? And does the lazy river have a current to push you along or is it just like a pool?

Hi. Thanks for watching. At this resort, Dreams guests are not able to use Secrets facilities. The nightclub at Secrets is adults only as well.

Dreams royal beach punta cana or Dreams Playa Mujeres. 2 families one with a 16 year old and other with 2 boys 10 and 15. Which do you recommend?
Personally I liked the Dreams Playa Mujeres better. It’s a little larger and in a nice gated area

Unfortunately, at this particular property, Dreams guests cannot use the facilities at Secrets.

Yes there are. Service is great. Tipping will help them remember you though.
