I love her float 😍
Great video, helped us make an informed decision when booking our trip! Thanks!!
We stayed at this property in the Preferred Club May 7th-14th. It was a fantastic week. The property was immaculately maintained and the service couldn't have been better. Agree that the Preferred Club was a worthwhile upgrade. The lounges and butler service really did make the difference. Generally, the food was good...far better in some places than others. We found the seafood and Italian restaurants at Dreams next door to be great options. Olio was consistently great. Maximo at the beachfront Preferred Club lounge bar was just amazing. Looking forward to returning some time soon. Thanks for your informative review!
Thank you. Angela and I both agree. It’s a great resort without Preferred, but the PC really put it over the top. Make sure you are subscribed so you get notified of other videos.
Cap Cana blows royal beach away . But sadly it’s a lot more expensive for us brits to visit . Royal beach is a lot as it is . We stayed preferred this year , but next year we aren’t bothering as we hardly used the preferred pool or breakfast. The buffet was much nicer
We are planning a honeymoon spot and this video sold me on this location well done !
Congratulations and thanks for watching. For a honeymoon, definitely do preferred club!
Bill! Thank you so much for this video. My Wife and I just got married in April and we are now booking our last minute mini honeymoon here! Appreciate everything as you truly answered all of our questions
just saw this.... i was in preferred club in Dreams side last January and felt it was well worth the extra money. Our personal Butler was awesome and we could message him any time of the day and he would see we got what we needed right away....also arranged for several birthdays in our group with dinners, cakes, banners, etc LOVED HIM
i dont remember how much extra it was lol we booked with a group, through a travel agent friend who also went. @@ftbeat
Great Video really helpful when looking to book this. Did you happen to know if they had Brandy/Cognac. Thanks
Can everyone use the lazy river and infinity beach pool? Or is it just preferred club people please as I’m seeing mixed information on this?
Hello, We will be staying there next week and curious how much the preferred club is? Also, can you book it for specific days or does it have to be for your entire stay? Thank you kindly!
Hello, I am a single senior and live to travel and stay in all inclusives. I do have a hard time walking long distances. Is everything compact here? Is the beach, room, pool restaurants altogether or spread out?
Hi, I love your videos! You really make me feel like I’m there at the resort with all of your visor footage. We are debating between this resort and Secrets Cap Cana. I noticed in another reply you said Secrets Cap Cana is your favorite romantic getaway Secrets. This Secrets, at least in your video , seems like the pool layout is better with chairs not so tight together and more different areas. Can you please comment on what you like better at Secrets Cap Cana over Secrets Royal Beach?
Thank you so much for the kind words Michelle. They are different resorts. Cap Cana is a little smaller. We felt it was a little more laid back and being smaller more intimate, particularly service. The drawback is that CC does not have a Dreams next door. We love both but they are a little different depending on what you are looking for.
Hi Bill. Love your videos on this resort! Thank you for sharing as it helped me decide where to go for our honeymoon. For preferred club, I heard there is a private preferred beach area as well. Does anybody know if the vendors are as pesky on that preferred beach area as well?
Yes there is a preferred beach area. I don’t remember the vendors there being particularly aggressive. Thanks for watching and congratulations.
Can you go in the water of the lazy river?
Great video i been debating whether its worth it watching this i think il do it. Are there enough sun loungers around the preferred club area?
There were plenty and the butlers will find you one and set up the towels and such for you also.
Another great video. I have another question if possible.
Tipping - what would be reasonable amounts to tip your Butler, Maid, Bar staff, Restaurant staff each day?
I understand tips are included in the price of your stay, however I believe it's also customary to tip extra. We do not mind doing this, so want to make sure we tip a reasonable and fair amount.
Many thanks
I’m glad you enjoyed. Tipping is a very personal and controversial subject. Personally I tip a buck per drink or so, $5 a person for dinner, $3 or so for breakfast and lunch. Also I usually take care of butler the first day, $20 and then again at the end if they performed good service. Understand a few dollars is quite a bit more in their economy.
Did you happen to see any Myers dark rum there made in Jamaica but hard to find usually buy in the USA when I’m there
Hi I have a crazy question , the" secretes " logo on the beach and the swing is that on preferred side or normal side of the beach ? Do you know ?
Hmmm. I don’t think the logo indicates anything. The preferred side had a little nicer loungers. I believe the swing is in the regular end though.
nice video, were staying at the Dream (not Secrets) for 12 nights later this year in the preferred club swim up room, we have one 5 year old child. are children welcome in all areas of the preferred club sections?
I believe so. I don’t remember seeing any adult only areas within preferred at Dreams. Not 100% sure though. I have a video up on Dreams Royal Beach as well. Have a great time and thanks for watching!
Hello Bill!Do you know if there is any major difference in the rooms between the preferred and non preferred. I booked the non preferred option room with a tropical view but I wanted to make sure my room will be newly renovated as opposed to run down like I have seen in some pics. Also would you say this resort is great for honeymooners? My husband and I are a young couple so we want to make sure we enjoy our experience.
Unfortunately I did not stay in a preferred room, I upgraded at check in so got the amenities but not a room on the preferred side. That said, I don’t think there is much of a difference.
@@jsimms601 I’m the cost was $550 for 4 nights. We had booked early and had a great price so we didn’t mind paying the extra. Thanks for watching
Just tried to upgrade in advance and they said that we would have to change to preferred club room and didn't have our room option... Guess I can try again at check-in
I’ve been to this resort twice in three years! I will never go back to this one! I’ve been to five different Secrets brands. But I had bad experiences at this resort twice! What is the chances of that?
That’s really surprising. We had a great time. But there are a ton of other Secrets resorts.
Did you spend any time at the preferred club beach? Does a person have to get to the beach early to get a palapa or would your butler help with that?
We did spend some time there even though we are more pool people. When we visited, it wasn’t a problem getting palapa but our butler was excellent and was usually over in the Preferred area early making sure we were settled.
Which resort do you like better -
Secrets or dreams in punta cana
also going in December for a honeymoon are the pools heated in the preferred section?
I prefer Secrets because then you can use facilities and restaurants at Dreams. Secrets is adults only though. Im not sure if the pools are heated
I got preferred upgrade here for 150 and at majestic in cancun I paid 200
For the lazy river do secrets provide tubes to float in?
Hi Darrell. They do not, we usually travel with small inflatable ones like Angela has in the video. They sell floats there but they are large and overpriced. Thanks for watching!!!
Hi, We are heading there in April, can you tell me how you found the temperature of the pools?
If we booked a room that says Perferred Club, does that give us perferred club access? I've seen some people say they were still asked to upgrade upon arrival.
If you booked a Preferred room, you get all the preferred club access. Upgrading on site would be for those who booked standard rooms. Thanks for watching!
here now...didnt think preferred was really worth it. as long as you tip well the concierge is really helpful [tip early] but beyond that not a big difference vs. the rest of the hotel...tipping generously with everyone is so worthwhile, you'll get great service.
Thanks for the feedback. I agree, tipping is the key. We really enjoyed the preferred pool and “very” lazy river. Enjoy the rest of your trip.
Do you feel secrets cap cana is recommended for couple that enjoy an active vacation moreso than romantic relaxed vibe?
That's what I was thinking as well. My travel agent always refers Secret brand but we like active with option to relax. Any suggestions?
@@laurachirillo8905 Secrets is a great brand and some properties are more lively than others. Breathless is a sister brand of Secrets and is more lively and upbeat.

How much was the cost for privileged please per night pp, thanks
The pricing will vary by time of year and occupancy. It’s usually best to book the Preferred Club in advance.
Are saying it may or may not be worth it depending on the time of year and rate being charged? It seems odd you would state it was worth upgrading to preferred, but don’t disclose in the video what you payed.
It is always worth it for us. It may not be within your budget. I generally don’t include pricing in videos as it often changes by season and occupancy.
@@ftbeat i think everyone ones aware prices very depending on time of year and how many rooms are available. Just be aware when you post a video titled “Is the preferred club at secrets royal beach worth the COST” it’s far for people to wonder why you wouldn’t give the cost.
My understanding is it’s typically $100 per person per night. Please keep in mind that can very depending on time of year and occupancy. So roughly another $1,200 for a couple to stay a week.

Hi Bill. My wife and I really enjoyed this video. We appreciate the informative, yet honest approach. You kept answering our questions as you moved throughout the resort 😀 Thank you for all your help!
Thanks for the kind words Dan and thank you for watching.
