I think you'd be surprised. There are older models which are still awesome and they are fundamentally an Audi. Expect a lot of mileage. The older models hold their value well as well.
I love the fact that even though Jay is "wealthy" he doesn't look down his nose at those who aren't. He has stayed true to his "common man" roots
But someone in Britain needs to buy that robot a sense of humour at the dollar and dime, and drop it off at the Bentley factory to get installed :)

@@seanjones2456 Lots of years ago my first car was a 1935 Bentley ( another story ) and running up and down to Sheffield 120 miles each way it did 22 mph
500 miles / 24 gallons = 20.8 mpg Pretty decent

Like really put thought and engineering into having everything exposed, but tidy and attractive. Even the smog and electronics. I cannot believe this problem cannot be solved. I understand the plastic is for heat control, safety, etc. But those are engineering problems and they can be surmounted. SHOW US THE ENGINE! Plastic is for passenger sedans and SUVs.

15:53 That curved crease over the wheel is just freakin' gorgeous. The whole rear end is a really nice piece of work. If money was no object, this would be my first choice, but in B.R Green, same interior. Traditionalist, I guess. Rolls-Royce are beautiful cars as well, of course, but Bentley has more class. One of my 3-Litre Healeys was British Racing Green with a tan interior and I loved it. Just a great combo.

Michael McDonald Well, not exactly...he’d be better at Rolls, but even they are trying to appeal to a younger, more entrepreneurial buyer. The uninterested, frank English gentleman regional manager really shouldn’t be on a video selling the car. In the old days, only the wealthiest of the wealthy could afford a car like this, but as capitalism has advanced the entire world, there’s men wealthy enough to buy this who live in places you wouldn’t suspect.

Ryno, that was my impression too. I noticed a decided lack of enthusiasm after the hood was opened and the oil cap was the most exciting part of the engine Jay could see. He's mentioned many times what a pet peeve that is for him.
Some of these companies never seem to learn that they need to send someone with a little personality. It makes a giant difference when Jay doesn't have to be the only one with passion.

Thanks for showing an extended look and close-up of the gas cap. The gas cap and cup holders is what sells the car for me. Don't show inside the trunk, I can mount a roof rack instead.

I pulled the plastic to see the engine. Very disappointing look. Unfortunately, it looks better with the plastic installed. Many new style engines have no soul, and this one certainly sounds like it has no soul.

Another great video Jay, thanks. Gorgeous automobile (one can't refer to a Bentley as a car now can one!) At first I was put off by the color (OOPS, I mean colour) but by the end I really liked it. This would stand out in a crowd.
I can't help feeling that Jay should be knighted by the Queen, there is something about him that is very British. He certainly does more than enough to promote British motors, new and old. It's great that he owns and maintains so many of our heritage cars and nobody extols their virtues more enthusiastically. ARISE SIR JAY, thank you for hours and hours of wonderful entertainment and motoring education.

If you get one of the last gen ones get a 2013+ less issues. The V8 does have some issues and previous TSB's if you check the audi forums.

That guy's super quiet! Jay worked hard to get him to engage. He had to start talking about business (number of units built per year, number of sales, etc) to get a decent conversation going! Am I the only one that notice Jay tends to drive over the lines and when he changes lanes or gets ready to turn, he doesn't get all the way over into the turning lane (21:46 - 22:00)?
This will be part of my garage soon, in my own kind of lightblue with off-white trim, blue stitching and grey rims. Thank you, Jay, for giving a good glimpse of a ride.

Being a woodworker and knowing that companies like this get all the "Prime" quality wood, there are some woods much more attractive than what was in this car. This wood looked very nice though,
Wish car manufacturers would bring back the engine and ditch all the plastic. When owning a great car showing what is under bonnet is part of it.

This man is employed by what amounts to a British Institution to appeal to their customer base. I think he's being quite daring just wearing denim tbh. And he knows about the car and the history, he's a good guy. His normal environment is Seville Row suits in plush offices and the concourse.
