Wow! We get a lot done in this one. Work on getting the old girl running and driving lol. Tackle a finicky carb issue, a yucky seat, lights, wiring, choke cable, speedometer, just a bunch of long overdue maintenance.
Here is a list of the replaced parts and links. When I posted this all the links were still good.
Battery- O'Reilly Auto Parts, oreillyauto.com, 2002 Arctic Cat 375 Automatic 4x4, shelf pull
    Choke Lever- ebay.us/LcKMys
    Carburetor- ebay.us/mP1D8b
    Speedometer cable- ebay.us/jo3B34
    Seat (Awesome!)- ebay.us/Y8Gzum
    Starter, (accessory), solenoid- ebay.us/FDv2mA
The starter, accessory solenoid was the most helpful for curing virtually all of the electrical gremlins with the ATV
    Choke cable- ebay.us/acQrb9
(Be sure this choke cable will work with your specific quad)
The recoil was a single sale purchase from www.powersport... best price on used atv parts out there. The case was the only part of the recoil that was not completely refurbished, I highly recommend their site.
Thank you again for watching, enjoy the ride.

Most everything that I replaced I was able to get on eBay really affordably. I will go back and put a link for the few pieces I needed in the description.

I resurrect atv’s for a living, I rarely get them in that good of condition, I have an Arctic cat 500 I’m working on currently along with 4 Polaris quads and a Suzuki quad runner. I was a marine upholsterer for a while and when pulling staples there is no be all tool that works for everyone but a screwdriver is about the worst. I use a rusty old bonsai trimmer, works great. I’m rather excited about using my Arctic cat, from the little I’ve ridden it feels very comfortable.

That’s awesome Charles. I’ll definitely keep that in mind on the next one. Thank you so much for taking a second to comment.
Happy trails on that beast 500.

@@flippinnuts1 those painters putty knives that have the arch cut out has a pointed edge that works pretty good at getting under the staples then just grab with pliers or something like that

there was an 02 AC 375 at an auction on Saturday ended up going for $3250. It was clean, 1k miles. Still thought it was about 1k too high.

    • @flippinnuts1
      @flippinnuts1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

No doubt, seems pretty high to me too. Last couple auctions I’ve been to seemed like I was bidding against fragile egos more then anything, lol. That said, at the end of the day may have been a good buy for that person. Maybe it was going to Alaska? Appreciate the comment Monty

Awesome job! I have a 2003 that I am working on. Thanks for the lesson, learned a lot! What did you do to get the plastics to look that good? Thanks

On the plastics, the parts that were really sun faded I used a heat gun “gingerly” to bring the color back and then I went over the whole unit with tire shine. Sprayed on, wiped down, repeated until it looked good. Has always worked pretty well for me.
      Thanks again 👍

You did a nice job explaining and filming throughout the videos. It turned out to be a really nice rig. What do you do with them when you are done? Do you have a total amount of what you put into it? What would you give for one in good running condition in today's market?

    • @flippinnuts1

Thank you Monty. I was really happy with how this one turned out. Glad you liked it too. I listed all the parts above and if you check the links it should have prices. I really try to stick to low budget stuff, honestly because it’s what I not only can afford but get the most satisfaction. I usually will sell them when I finish. This one was gone within an hour of listing. The dude that bought it loves it, told me he is having a blast having a big quad. Said he had almost given up on finding one he could afford and thought my ad was fake when he first saw it for sale, lol.

Just noticed the last part of your question. This one, being a 2002 tends to run around $1400-$2000. I sold mine for $1200 only because I wanted to sell quickly and I didn’t have much into the 4 wheeler.
