Great video, I recently bought a Strymon Deco V2 and love it. Watched your video on it as well which was fantastic. I am in my 50's and lived through the 70's. Such a fantastic time for music and life was more simple. You actually had to use your imagination and be creative with just about everything. No internet, no cell phones, no cable TV. No problem 😊

I am sold on this Strymon plugin - way more useful to me than the pedal since I am all about recording simple tunes playing guitar, bass and keys. Cheers,

Thanks for the video. Had the pedal on my board for a few years and it is my favourite of all time. I have the saturation and the stereo chorus always on. Now Iv seen there’s a plug-in I must have this for my studio!!

The reason the 70s seemed so real, is because it was. In the USA anyway, a male teen was staring down the barrel of going to Vietnam right out of high school. We grew up fast, realizing we might have a very limited future. The music that was produced, reflected the period. The active draft stopped around 1974 and the collective sigh of relief invigorated everyone. Eddie Van Halen almost single handedly reinvented rock guitar and we were off to the races!

@@FenderLewis it can handle it way better than my old intel but there are limitations. Usually 4-5 VSTs is the limit before I have to bounce it. 4k is fine for small clips but if it’s handing long shots 5min+ then it can get dicey. But then I just use proxy clips and it’s fine. If I had to do it again I’d buy a base Mac Studio.
I love using it before the Iridium. I think it sounds great that way. The saturation side smoothes the signal out really well before it hits the amp sim stage.
@@SuperdangerStudios I've got a feeling its to do with distribution contracts. They might be waiting until the existing contracts expire so they can specifically exclude software from new contracts. But I don't know because the Big Sky plugin has been out a few years now I think. It's a bit weird.
