- During the holiday season the UPS Worldport gets crazy busy, and the final week of December gets so busy that it’s called Peak Week. Lucky for me I was able to see some of that action. Here’s an awesome assortment of close-up heavy cargo aircraft, including multiple 747s, trijets and others from airlines like National, Skylease Cargo, Kalitta Air, Western Global and many more. Taken from three different locations for views of both arrivals and close up departures.
Aircraft Included:
1. SkyLease Cargo GG2389 | MIA - SDF | Boeing 747-428F(ER) | N904AR
2. UPS 5X2916 | SDF - ONT | McDonnell Douglas MD-11F | N283UP
3. UPS 5X2915 | ONT - SDF | Boeing 747-8F | N625UP
4. UPS 5X2325 | MCO - SDF | McDonnell Douglas MD-11F | N294UP
5. National Airlines N8227 | SDF - CGN | Boeing 747-412(BCF) | N756CA
6. Air Transport International 8C2187 | PHL - SDF | Boeing 767-223(BDSF) | N255CM
7. UPS 5X2293 | CAE - SDF | Boeing 747-44A(F) | N573UP
8. Sky Lease Cargo GG2403 | PDX - SDF | Boeing 747-428F(ER) | N903AR
9. Western Global Airlines KD2761 | DFW - SDF | McDonnell Douglas MD-11F | N545JN
10. Atlas Air 5Y2751 | DFW - SDF | Boeing 747-47UF | N499MC
12. Kalitta Air K42863 | PHX - SDF | Boeing 747-481F | N403KZ
13. Kalitta Air K42925 | SBD - SDF | Boeing 747-4B5(BCF) | N707CK
14. Delta Airlines DL1126 | SDF - ATL | Boeing 717-2BD | N953AT
15. ABX Air GB2891 | MHR - SDF | Boeing 767-338(ER)(BDSF) | N317CM
And much more, at least a dozen MD-11s, even more 767s.
You know these planes are massive when it makes the 757 look so small
Love the arrivals with the skyline and Kentucky Kingdom visible
747❤
MD-11 😍
Just made my day...!
Beautiful video.....amazing quality 🤩❤
Really beautiful compilation, MD11 is the best one!!
Thank you!
@@indianaaviation5941 You welcome mate!
I live basically across the street from this airport and am quite fortunate planes do not directly fly over my house. I can attest UPS planes come and go nonstop 24 hrs a day but we barely notice anymore. Notice Kentucky Kingdom our amusement park right next door to the airport along with Freedom Hall.
I thought UPS had the monopoly on Louisville, but I guess not! Great catches man, I've never seen a WorldPort spotting video before :D
Normally you’d be right about ups being most of the traffic, but during the holiday season they charter in so many more planes to deal with the extra traffic that you get some real variety! Thanks for watching
I spot at Louisville always we always have a lot of ups and some western global and sometimes a special charter when it’s not Christmas time
MD11F heaven!😍 And beautiful UPS 747-8F, didn’t even know they had those in the fleet😮
Yes! There were so many MD-11s it almost got boring. UPS actually took delivery of a brand new 748 the day I was there!
Awesome.
Great video! Also loved seeing Kentucky Kingdom in the background :)
Thank you! It’s a nice addition to those arrivals that’s for sure
What about the expo center.... Its wayyyy better epecially when its time to show cattle at north american
And the Louisville skyline
Nice captures dude
Awesome Christmas arrivals
They sure were, thanks for watching!
Love the departures mate 👍👍👍
Thank you! They were awesome to see so close
Amazing compilation! I'm so jealous of all the UPS MD11's and 747's that you guys get there. Getting one of those at O'Hare during the day is rarer than the Antonov's that occasionally come here. Looking forward to more of your videos! Happy Holidays!
Thank you! It’s definitely fun to be able to spot at these Midwestern cargo airports, but in my opinion nothing will beat Ohares variety!
@@indianaaviation5941 I miss Flying Tiger at KORD back when I was a kid.
Imagine flying an empty boeing 747
I also saw planes in the sky! I saw 3 B737s!
Oh man this is awesome!
awesome video...very enjoy watching your video
1000th subscriber right here, going to sdf next weekend, how did you get the shots over the fence?
I just stood on the roof of my car, it’s a small sedan so a medium sized ladder should get you the same angle
@@indianaaviation5941 thanks! on my way right now, sadly ups isn’t doing one of there group landing but hopefully I still get to see some cool stuff
Great video! I didn't see the flight that is listed as #11, the Ameristar DC9. I saw a DL 717 and a Frontier A319, but I didn't see the Ameristar even on a second viewing.
Thank you! I checked back through and you’re right, the Ameristar DC-9 took off while I was there but it looks like I only caught a video with my phone, which I wouldn’t have put in this video. If you’re interested, I do have the video on my instagram!
This is Excellent
Thanks!
great video ;D
thank you!
Great video!! Love the quality. You have earned a sub!
Thank you!
Hi, new subscriber! I love your content! 😀✈
DUDE AMAZING!! Again super appreciate the information in the description, what camera you use?
Thank you! For these videos I used a Nikon B700, most with a tripod.
@@indianaaviation5941 cool thanks
Stellar compilation! What camera do you use?
Thank you! I used a Nikon B700 for these shots
I was here in like nov of 2020 at the end of runway 35 in the gravle area
Awesome! Was it 35L or R?
5:27 Having trouble making out one digit of the N number. Is that Western Global?
Got here by searching "cargo planespotting" on here. Very cool! KSAN is my hometown airport, but this looks more interestng.
I believe it’s N545JN of Western Global unless I made a mistake. Thanks for watching!
Haha let me assure you m8, Louisville ain't bustling, big, or urban, but it sure is a stellar place to live. And the airport with heavies flying in and out every minute, is the icing on the cake. Wouldn't wanna live anywhere else.
Ahh, I found it. My eyes failed me. It's not N48SN (that's a Cessna 206, I think). It's 411SN. And we're both right. It's Western Global. Thanks, Planespotters!

And indeed. 747s, but without the ridiculous s cal highway traffic. Sounds pretty stellar.
Shame on you for not showing the god of cargo planes, Fedex of course.

I bet all those planes were doing COVID-19 vaccine flights because America REALLY NEEDS it!
We sure hope so

"Landings" that disappear behind a building at touchdown are WORTHLESS.
Couldn’t agree more
