Greg, pretty cool that you ride bikes like this and give them a fair assessment. Unlike some other reviwers who ride a Harley then bag on it because it doesn't perform like an R1. Rock on!

Cruise control maxes out at 90mph tho.
I’ll go LONG distances on my Road Glide and I love how easy the cruise control is to work and it’s easy to keep spacing in a pack with the up and down clicks to dial in the speed. Sometimes ya gotta rest your throttle hand for a sec but not in a position to let off.
It’s refreshing to see someone who isn’t a Harley anorak enjoying them. Ppl love to hate. I wouldn’t want to own anything else.
*id love to see more Harley riders taking their skills to the next level tho beside being able to ride down the hwy. I’m not an expert but due to practice feel completely comfortable at 3-5mph on any of mine

I bought my first bike this year. 2024 Heritage 114 Atlas Silver. Beautiful! I have put in 6000 miles so far, and even did Sturgis. Put Vance and Hines Big Radius 2 into 2. I even ride with my 7 pound dog. He loves it! You should get that bike,my friend.

The Heritage In my opinion is the best all around bike that Harley offers. I have owned 2 of them they are great for long rides or touring. And you can strip everything off of them and have a great bike to go out and rip around on.

Thanks. I’ve got a 2019 FLHCS. great bike in my opinion. I had done a Ride Like a Pro class on my ‘08 Goldwing and hated it. So much easier on the Heritage. Good all around bike. Only complaints: spoke wheels, great on my thighs in warm+ weather, a little turbulence coming from below the tank, and a fogging Speedo. Otherwise, very happy. BTW, those are leather covered hard bags that lock. And it definitely has ABS. I ditched the Rineharts that were on mine when I bought it and went back to stock. They sounded good but on longer rides, the pitch gave me a headache.

I own a 2018 Heritage. I am not a fan of the stock bags because they tend to leak water when it rains. I went with Nasty hogs hard bag conversion to remedy this. Other than that I 100 percent love the bike.

  • @kman-mi7su

Yeah, cruise control is a must for me. I like long-distance touring and try to get a minimum of two long trips during the good weather season here in the northeast. If you put in a 500 or more mile day, you appreciate it. I currently own two bikes, both Yamahas, a Royal Star Venture, and a Royal Star Tour Deluxe. Both came with cruise control as standard equipment and was one of the reasons I bought them. I've not done Jerry's course, but I have done Robert Simmons's course twice and like Jerry's, it's tons of fun and educational for those who need the skills. I did the course to see what it was about although I've already done that and more (28-year police officer trained to ride motors, and also a trainer) MotoJitsu is correct, if you do Robert's, Jerry''s, or any of the others course, you need to take that knowledge and practice it or you will not benefit from it. I tell people that I've worked with on slow speed skills, "use it or lose it" if you don't. I don't ride police motors anymore, but I always find time to practice some skills in order to keep sharp.

I don't understand the name branding of Harley, to me most are a road king, then they might have a few different things, but seem the same to me. The road king and the bikes with a Batwing are my favorite. I own a Yamaha Midnight Star xv1900 2009. Really like that to.
