These are only very Small differences. I currently own the Note 8 & it's honestly An extremely good phone. There is really no reason to Switch to an S9.
Note series are superior compared to S series. You own the right phone
well only problem in note 8 speaker is it's not loud but S8+ and S9+ are louder than note 8

Loving my S9+. Newer technology, better battery and camera. Have had Notes 3,4 and 5 and found I never used the S-Pen. Makes more sense to go with S9+.

My iPhone 7+ died today and I decided on the note8. Really liking it and I'm enjoying the stylus. Love the size of the note 8 and I'd get a bigger one if they made it.

Nah, the XL 2’s battery is better than the note 8. However, it depends on ones usage.
there is only a .1 inch difference in the s9+ and note 8.......pretty much the same size.
I would get s9+ but not till its cheaper sill on my S7 edge.

You won't regretted it if you change to s9+ over note8 but note8 more cheaper with last year chipset

Great review and I bought my note 8 because I like my note 7 that I gave up for a recall. The note 9 looks amazing slick but I think Note 8 has all I need and software will improve it close Note 9, S9+ features. If you must have the latest every year releases then go spend your money. These phones today will last us users for a long time.
I think you just answered my question. I have a note 5 which I love and it still runs quick. I was considering the note 8. And I have looked at a lot of phones in the last 6 months. And 2 of the main ones I considered were the 5t and htc u11 plus but you can't get either in Australia unless you buy on line. The mate 10 pro was tempting but liked the the regular mate 10 features more but didn't like the ui much. Then the s9 plus came out and if I decide to get it. It will be the first time ever that I have pre ordered a phone or brought one without trying it first. I love the idea of a stylus but very rarely use it.
Kim Bridge I think you can use Nova launcher with Mate 10 for a different look. My husband has it on Mate 9 and now it looks like a normal Android phone. Just FYI. Nova launcher drained the battery on my S8, but works good on my husband's Mate.

The cost of note 8 is more than s9+. I hope #samsung #samsungmobile can do what they cant. Update the note 8 software. I'm a note 8 user and i hope they will give us the new bixby update capabilities like tge real time translate. Also the AR. Show us that you can do it #samsung.

I take issue with saying that this processor upgrade is a “significant” improvement. It’s a one-generation jump, and it’s not a major one, such as a manufacturing process change. It’s a regular generational update to last year’s chip. Improvements will be minimal to moderate, but not significant. There’s a handful of small quality-of-life changes. Also keep in mind although it’s advertised as being more efficient, the processor is just one piece of the phone’s overall power consumption. The screens on these devices are just about identical, and are by far the main battery drain. The 845 may be able to run for many, many more hours on the same amount of battery when processing some task with the screen off, but turning the screen on is gonna kill the device in about 4 hours flat, so that doesn’t really matter all that much. Also 200mAh of extra battery is pretty insignificant. A difference of a few percentage points of battery. Like by 8pm, perhaps your phone has 20% left instead of 17%. Oh boy. Anyway, overall I’d say the S9 is a moderate revision over the S8, and the Note 9 will almost certainly be a moderate revision over the Note 8.
