I like Gathoni Wamuchomba. She needs a bigger position in kenya coz she have big vision. She articulates things the right way. She doesn't speak what the boss want to hear but speaks what's supposed to be spoken on behalf of many voiceless kenyans

The problem in Kenya why the cost of production in animal keep is high is because we do not have dedicated animal feed crop production. meaning we do not have farms growing strictly animal feed crops. We should have farms that grow animal feeds.
In USA the reason why they can produce mass production of milk, eggs, pork, beef and other animal products is because they have large scale farms growing all manner of crops that are dedicated to animal feeds.
The major growing areas in USA for growing animal feeds is along the the Colorado river. The major crops grown along the Colorada river is not food crops but animal feed crops using the river to irrigate millions of acres of animal feed crops like sorghum, soya beans, Alfalfa, seedcake from cotton, corn, hay, etc. This is deliberately done in order for the country to be able to have a thriving dairy and beef industry providing affordable animal feeds and lower cost of buying these products at the super markets.
In Kenya Tana river is similar to the Colorado River. The Tana is an all year round river that traverses million of acres of bare land on both sides with fertile alluvial soils. This land should be dedicated to grow strictly animal feed crops via irrigation.
All the flood water coming from tana river needs to be diverted by building canals which lead to large dams to store water for irrigation. If you see the water coming from the second folks' electric dams the volumes of water produced when it rains is mind boggling, flows down stream can be tapped and diverted for irrigation at the same time it will control the flooding down stream that wash away peoples homes and businesses.
This is the thinking the govt should be doing. Using the Tana river waters to grow all manner of animal feed crops for dairy, beef, chicken, fish and this encourages more farmers to even become animal keep farmers as a result with affordable feeds results in lower cost of food and secures food security, creates employment and businesses and a thriving animal keep industry
Problem is, we dont have leaders in kenya, what we have are cluless fools pretending to be leaders

I have never really tyaken my time time to listen to her, and lo! All I can say is lets joining forces and be of one voice,... otherwise her courage will have been for nothing.
Why has coffee n tea taken so long to be auctioned...most of the farmers are not paid. Why cant wamuchomba mobilize mps to a farmers forum then they discuss about how to zero rate maize meal, dairy meal, milk package equipment and papers, the aluminum milk equipments, pig feeds, poultry feeds n animal drugs n they discuss in advance how they will vote for this bill regarding farming products. The animal drugs are very expensive. Seeds should be subsidised eg cucumbers, congets etc...onions. farming is very expensive in kenya n we have to import
