Thanks for making this video! You had pretty much everything that could go wrong or be extra difficult, happen to you here and I am so glad that you took the time to record it all. Most videos don't seem to show the reality of the job. Great job staying calm and keeping a cool head through all of that!
I got rid of my krytonite IFS front end and and replaced it with a much stronger 7" lift solid axle swap front end with hydraulic assist steering on my 08 dmc duramax dually👍🏿 I always hated GM/ Chevy IFS on HD trucks🤬...but the amount of room under my front end with the S.A.S. is unreal
Why is your sway bar turned upwards, does it have to do with the lift kit? Just curious as mine is a 05 Dmax with Fabtech 6" lift and the sway bar is turned down which I believe it how they are stock.
@@hurricanestrouds2141 I feel ya, mine was lifted when I bought it as well. How did you like the steering after your front end rebuild and an alignment?

Thanks. I’ve always disliked “car build tv shows” because of that.
Thanks for another great video. I resorted to the pipe wrench too.
Thanks!
Did pitman arm on my 1500hd and had to do the same thing cut it and spread it open

I just did a Kryptonite full steering install. I seriously don't have a clue what you're doing here. 😮

I’m not really sure I might need to look into that. It had the lift on it when I bought it. Looking for factory lift stuff now though.

@@ryllyduc1198it definitely feels a lot tighter. I think there’s suppose to be a steering gear box upgrade. I haven’t looked much into it lately.
Great job. Thank you for showing the struggles. Too many vids are edited to make things look toooooo easy.
Tie rods should come out as a unit then measured
It's a bitch but you saved alot of money vs going to a shop
