GREAT Review NKJV Is one Of My favorite Translation . I Want to Buy this Bible. I Have The John Macarthur premium Goatskin I use for reading at home I love it so much . This thin Bible perfect to take with me.
Great review brother. I just ordered one it should be here on Tuesday. Having a nice quality Bible just ads to the excitement of studying Gods word for me.
I may have missed it but have you considered doing a new comparison between this or maybe even the blue goatskin version and the NJKV Quintel like you did for the first addition?
My blue third edition arrived yesterday! It’s my very first premium Bible, and I am amazed by how different it feels thsn my other Leathersoft Nelson Bibles. They are really great, of course, but this beautiful blue Bible is amazing..
Mine should be here Friday! 11 pt. Font and red letter... and it’s BLUE! I also have the Preaching Bible. It’s vs by vs. My husband confiscated it. It is awesome too! Looking forward to seeing the NKJV Premier wide margin. End of March. With Covid going on I have drawn so close to Jesus! I just want a Bible that I can hand down to my boys one day. Have fun & God bless!
The Schuyler Quentel NJKV already has the improvements (features) you suggest for the Premier 3.0. The advantage the Nelson product has is a substantially lower price, at least as offered on the Amazon link you provided. That said, I have handled both and I still much prefer my Schuyler Quentel.
Beau-(1) you said that this Bible edges out the Schuyler Quentel NKJV, but I didn’t pick up on how it edges it. (2) The updates Quentel NKJV has 28 GSM paper and this Thomas Nelson uses 36 GSM, and yet the Thomas Nelson is thinner. How did they pull this off? Thanks. Appreciate your reviews.
Hey Bill, Sorry for the confusion. Here is my rationale. If price is not considered, the Quentel has a higher level of quality. However, when we add price to the "total value" equation, that is when the Thomas Nelson editions shine brighter due to you dollar going farther.
Thanks, Beau. That makes sense. Can you speak to the thinness of this Bible. How did Thomas Nelson get it significantly thinner, or so it seems, than Schuyler has been able to get its new 28 GSM NKJV?
Was the first generation liner calfskin, synthetic leather or bonded leather? I've heard different things, and wasn't sure. It doesn't say on the box of the first KJV Premier Edition I got for Christmas. Thanks
It's an 11 pt font, which is about as large of a print that you can find in a portable, thinline edition regardless of translation. It isn't a giant print but it is definitely very readable while being held and due to the line matching and the superior paper, the clarity of the text is about as good as you will be able to find from a bible only an inch thick.
When is Nelson going to start producing "pretty" Bibles with colors attractive to those of us who prefer less masculine covers? And not just Nelson. Others have made a beautiful purple leather cover.......in the past. How about the present? Okay, I'm old so I can buy inexpensive Bibles in colors I enjoy looking at and using, so I suppose that since I have no one to hand them down to, premium doesn't matter. But I truly wanted, and purchased, a premium purple leather Bible from Schuyler about six months ago and it's a brown with purple in it, imo. I kept it, but now feel as though I didn't spend my $200 wisely! I guess I need not worry about, or continue to look for, that beautiful purple premium Bible I so wanted for my 70th birthday, and then my 71st, and now my 72nd!

Did you do the blue thinline?

All the first gens had calfskin liners, but they were a bit on the thinner side.
@@BeauTate thanks so much for the reply. Happy new year!
The first edition had a typo in the book/chapter heading for Matthew 43. Does this one as well?
I'll have to check later to see if it was corrected
Hi son. I like your new shirt. When you say large print, how large is the print? I might need this Bible if it’s really large print❤️

Okay. I guess I will just have to see it for myself ❤️
How can i kniw if it is the 2nd or 1st edition? Do you like reading this one better than the single column one?
This is the 2nd gen. 😊
@@yeishaadhosein6510 Ist Gen I think was only in black. Second Gen I believe was blue and brown
