Nice video! Here are My top 5 reasons why I swapped to Radiology from Surgery: 1. fixed working schedule (get to leave at 16:00 on the dot when I don´t have a nightshift - NO overtime) 2. less conversations with patients and relatives (can be mentally quite draining for me) 3. less running around frantically (I get to focus on my images) 4. very visual (once I saw an interesting case I will probably recognize the next one) 5. it still has a practical side to it through interventional radiology
i am planning to switch to Radiology too..... i have good hand and mind work ethics, that keeps me thinking of reconsidering other surgical training though...... im torned. i quit general surgery in my half year as second year

I have severe hyperhidrosis. So I am afraid of interacting with patients and touching them for examination. That's why I am planning to try for radiology. Would you think I am making right decision Doctor?
I really appreciated your honest and fair take on your diagnostic radiology residency experience. Have you ever considered eventually going over to interventional radiology? The increased patient interaction and minimally invasive surgical procedures seem like they would be a lot more interesting than sitting in a dark room reading all day. I mean even though it won't hold a candle to clinical management in terms of patient interaction and follow up or that satisfaction of seeing your diagnosis and treatment work out, I suppose it is something.
Dr lena you are my biggest support and biggest inspiration..I know we don't know each other but your video's give a positive vibes and because of you I m free from drepression I know its sound not real but yeah it's real dr you the precious person who did not cure my drepression but because of you I m now in medical school dr my only wish is to meet you and hug you and thank you

How does the residency system differ in Korea vs. US? Since in the US, there are way more specialties you can choose from. As a medical student in the US, it would be interesting to learn more about the differences ☺️

I hope everything will go so perfect for you. ❤️
Why don’t you go into interventional radiology!!!???
I’m super introverted and not a big people fan lol Didn’t have the stats for rads though but I was able to match into anesthesia, next best thing lol
anesthesia also has a very good work-life balance ...
I’m 13 but I’m so interested in becoming a radiologist
Dr lena you are my biggest support and biggest inspiration..I know we don't know each other but your video's give a positive vibes and because of you I m free from drepression I know its sound not real but yeah it's real dr you the precious person who did not cure my drepression but because of you I m now in medical school dr my only wish is to meet you and hug you and thank you
I want to hug you in person❤️ I’m really happy my videos helped you out. Love you🥰
This is really insightful. Thank you. If I don't get accepted to dermatology, I'm going to radiology.
Get ready for crushing volume when you come out 😂
The DIY & follow up thing hit me very very hard.
Perhaps this is a naive question to ask. But how relevant do you think your interest in anatomy is for a radiologist? From what I've seen and heard I think the lifestyle suits me very well but I'm a bit worried because I hated anatomy haha. Great video :)
I have the same worries as you
@@staysruletheworld6868same here. How’s it going for u so far?
We miss you lena🥺🥺 hope you are ok 💓
very happy for you i wich you all the success in this world
i will also pass my residency exam in two months hoping to do anatomo pathology
How does the residency system differ in Korea vs. US? Since in the US, there are way more specialties you can choose from. As a medical student in the US, it would be interesting to learn more about the differences ☺️
I am considering to be radiologist or family physician
I’m definitely doing radiology
I'm introvert and like to be alone..going to start as a radiologist soon....there's still about 2% liking in cutting specialty and I don't mind standing in long hours..about 1% liking as a general practitioner and serving the poor.....I hope I will not regret my decision..😅😁😅
Lena I hope you're doing well, we miss your videos, hope everything is okay, chear up 😘
Hi, unnie!! How are you? Our exams for this semester is already done and I would like to thank you because you are one of my inspiration to study hard. ❤ I hope you're doing well. Stay safe and healthy 😊💚
What is the system of choosing speciality in korea? It depend on your grades & the available spot left for you? or you can choose any specialty you want ?
