BTW i switched to iPhone 5, Galaxy S4 had a problem is the screen.. so sad, i've been a Samsung (Android) fan for more than 5 years.
Its true that S4 has a bigger screen, but the iPhone 5 is certainly better in gaming performance and quality apps, so i'll just stick to it.
And also, quality apps available in the app store aren't in google play, which is sad (for android users not for me lol)

Got the HTC one a few days ago and I love it. I hate touchwiz so sense works out great for me. I actually was going to get the nexus 5 but then you convinced me to go with the HTC one.

I am really happy with my HTC one. It has a great camera and I love the body.
I actually rooted it and got stock android. It is much faster now without a skin even though sense is a really smooth/quick skin.

Since I'm a complete sucker for great build quality and speakers, obviously I'd go with the HTC One. The GS4's camera is the only thing I like more than the One. Everything else from software to hardware is worse.

Agreed. The discussion about the difference in build quality is standard in every review of these two phones, and this is absolutely the first time that it was handled in a thoughtful, considered way. I have an S4 myself. I chose comfort (weight), amoled, larger array of sensors and features to play with, over beauty, awesome audio and possibly the better camera (I think I might prefer better low light images over higher resolution. So I edged the other way, but great review!
The s4 did it for me, the HTC one is definitely an awesome choice though

I think the Samsungs are more publicized than any other Android phone out there. I own a Samsung as well but if you think about it, everytime there's a fanboy war (Android phone vs iPhone) the word Samsung comes to mind. Sadly tho, there are more Android phones out there. Either way, Android OS is the shit.

although it's subjective, you're leaving out a huge point when you chose not to talk about sense vs touchwiz. sense back then had blinkfeed which is now optional, besides that, everything else you can think of, sense beats touchwiz.
I agree sense is much simpler. Touchwiz just has too much stuff going on like the icons which get in the way of my experience.
One thing I can say guys... The HTC One is so beautiful, super fast, super responsive, and Sense is just totally improves stock Android. The whole phone is superb. I tried and played with my friend's S4. It's hella laggy, and slow, unresponsive compared to the One (the One! lol). I used an SGS3 LTE for some weeks, it was a nightmare... but the One is just a much different Android experience, which you can feel even after you unlock the screen... It's not fanboyism, or something (you know, it's how apple users behave every time you say BS about their iphone) it is just the truth.

You can't soft mod the S4 anymore. HTC one is just absolutely superiour. Better screen, and touch wiz is so bad.
And how is the screen better? in which way? The blacks and whites are true on the s4 screen and the pixel density is basically the same, the colors are WAYYY brighter and better looking on the s4 screen as well and the HTC one's camera is such a piece of shit i scratch my head why someone would even use it, while the build quality and UI on the htc one is in fact better and faster, the difference is very, very minimal unless you have time slow down, and the better specs of the s4 makes for a much better gaming and media experience, plus if you hate touchwiz so much just get the google edition of the galaxy s4
It's using a super amoled display. Have you ever tried looking at one in sunlight? It's impossible. The camera really isn't bad on the HTC one either. You saying that just shows how much you know about cameras. It has less to do with the mega pixel count, and more to do with the lens and the sensor. You can see that when you compare it with a different phone with a higher mega pixel count. I don't see why you brought up gaming. No one in their right mind does any gaming on either, unless you're talking about emulating, but that's not really relevant, you don't need a lot of processing power to emulate.
And you are suggesting that the lens and sensor on the htc one is better in any way? Perhaps it takes better low light shots but what do you define as better? The images are in fact brighter on the htc one, but they still look shitty and grainy and not sharp at all, with the s4 while the low light shots might be darker they still LOOK BETTER because of the fact that the images are sharper, and I own both phones, i compared their screens and quite frankly the htc one's screen produces very washed out colors compared to the bright ones on the s4, and no one in their right mind plays games on either phone? lol, no one in their right mind uses their freaking phone in the bright sun! You cant see shit on the htc one just like you cant see shit on the s4

Yes I did, I originally thought I was going to be using the htc one more than the s4 because the new sense is faster than touchwiz and because the phone is a higher build quality, and since i usually go places with a backpack I always have my trusty dslr camera, so I thought I wouldn't need the superior camera on the s4, so I used the htc one for a bit and I couldn't stand a few things; 1: It got uncomfortably hot, LIKE REALLY HOT, 2: the screens colors were to dim compared to the oled and amoled displays I'm used to, and 3: the fact that there was a giant htc logo that did absolutely nothing made me twitch, so I bought an s4, a few months ago before the update to 4.3, rooted it and installed cyanogen mod 10 on it, I'm planning to update to 11 soon, and I have absolutely no regrets and am completely happy with the decision of getting the s4 instead of the htc one

I have the Samsung S4 but I'm down to try out the HTC. The thing is, I don't know how the features are compared to the S4.
The Galaxy S4's camera isn't slightly better than the HTC One's camera, it's way better than the HTC One. The software on the S4 is better. The display is better. The amount of space is better. The S4 is better in all aspects of a flagship phone. You don't know what you're talking about.

You lack the understanding of what bias means in this context. Biased would be if he worked for HTC and chose it as number one. This video is titled "Samsung Galaxy S4 vs HTC One" the whole thing is a subjective account of which one he prefers, which happens to be the HTC because of all the reasons listed.
I think you did an excellent job of reviewing the phones, I believe you were right on the money.. I have the HTC M7 for over two years now with Verizon. I am not a big fan of Verizon but they do have the best coverage. I have been disappointed in the photos taken by the HTC, but as a daily user, I am absolutely pleased with the durability and the way the HTC feels in my hand... Very happy with the phone... I will give it an A++. It feels great in my hand..... I have a decent plastic case on it but have never protected the gorilla and I have dropped it pretty many times and even on concrete also. I am noticing the new s6 is feeling more like the HTC one.....

Yea ce TouchWiz lag with bad interface, crappy, cheap and ugly design and awful audio are the shit compared to a device that, if only it had a better camera, was perfect for the time.

Yeah, I noticed the "lag" you talked about. The One felt AMAZING in the hand and just using its UI... But the S4, I just really loved the size of the screen and its camera. I'd be getting either the One or S4 for $200 w/o contract though.

You now can put a setting that when you long press the home button on Htc one, it opens menu. Access to google now is by swiping up the home button. Its pretty useful.

I actually went for the HTC One and am very happy....put it was a close call.
The selling point for me was the speakers for the HTC One. I travel a lot, and it is so nice to be able to turn my phone on, fire up the speakers with a great playlist from google music, or whatever the hell the call it now, and be able to fill my hotel room with some great sound! The speakers and sound of the HTC sold me.
But the Samsung is a great phone too. Don't get me wrong. My co-worker has that phone and he really likes it. It all comes down to, as you said, what phone is best for you?!? You can't go wrong with either one, but you must make a choice based on your needs.

Yeah I did notice that! I had personal choice of display size over quality, coming from a 165 ppi Kyocera rise haha, so both would be fine in that area.
I found fixes for most of the software problems, though.
I can change the options of the screen display to make it more life like. I also changed touchwiz to Nova launcher, and that's made the "lag" disappear, and it's so much more faster and responsive. I got to customize my home pages and everything else with it (any android can get Nova).
I have htc one and i have to say it's one hell of an experience just holding the phone is so comfy but the sense 5 is well improved and i just love thy simplified the software and it is just great i would recommend the htc one to anyone!
I own an HTC One and my parents have the galaxy s4. As a music lover I had to go with the One and haven't regretted it at all. Found out my brother has a One as well and we both have similar taste in music. Amazing phone

I know that I his is an old video (and someone has probably pointed this out by now), but you can achieve a wider view with the S4 by changing the photo size from 9m 16:9 to 13m 4:3. The pictures are more crisp as well.
