This channel is so under-rated its not even funny. I wish u guys would hire or get an intern to film/edit for you so u could pump out way more content . There are so many popular moto channels that really know nothing about motorcycles and it boggles my mind how they are popular .
SWEEET!!!!! So excited for this build.and all of the go fast goodies. I've been patiently waiting for the 60th anniversary to arrive here in Cali. Please order one extra of everything you plan on using for this build... LOL no seriously
Hello, finally a great new video. A yamaha R1, I hope it will be as beautiful and efficient as the preparations for the Gmt94 from my home in France. Goodbye. Eddy
The breaking in might be boring in comparison to a fully built motoamarica bike. But I'd always wondered how that was done. Obviously different manufacturers have different procedures but do you guys do anything different? Is it done with the oil that comes in with the bike? Load vs rpm? Or heat cycles? Asking for a friend ... Maybe lol
You guys definitely know how to pick bikes that sound good (the Ducati and now the R1). Can't wait to follow the progress religiously like I have for all your other projects!
I just bought myself a brand spanking new R1 in the same team Yamaha blue last weekend. Such a beautiful bike! Love that you have this series going. Don't love the current supply constraints on everything... Just finished breaking her in and doing the first oil change @ 500 miles, and go figure graves has no stock of the full systems with the shorty carbon can... Can't wait to see my bike and this bike progress through building!! Liked and subscribed 🤘
picked up a 2022 R1 today...patiently waiting to see what parts you start adding as i'm converting mine to a race bike for this season. sorting the brakes, rearsets, suspension and exhaust will be first - need to get a lot of this stuff from you guys.
Not gonna do a complete different wiring harness and ecu? Or is that against regulations? Would give you that tuning ability that you described having trouble with....
Was hoping you guys would do a new r1 or GSXR1000R. Can't wait for the updates! These videos are what convinced me to get my ECU flashed and Ti bolts from you guys for my GSXR600 track bike :) Just waiting for things to thaw up north here to install.
Great to see your builds. I remember you said you would try the bitubo shock in the V4R. Just wondering, if you could comment on your opinions about Bitubo's XXZ31 or XXF rear shocks w.r.t. Ohlins. Thanks!
Do you have any idea when Yamaha is gunna do a complete redesign of the r1? I’d like to get one but I don’t want to buy one and then a year later it’s all new
I love that you are coming back to this platform. The secret is out that the new engine and electronics package (GYTR) gets it closer to Motec level TC (for club racing) without the expense of Motec and a custom-made loom. The older YEC software (2015-2019) doesn't have the resolution of the latest gen and is pitiful for AF tuning and also TC. The new 2020+ engine also allows for more power. Check out the expandable slot in the swingarm that negates the need for a longer swingarm (like the one you used to sell) . I am a bit bummed that you don't sell those swingarms anymore, but with the new slot on the swingarm they are not needed for club racers who can now relieve that slot and get more swingarm length without needing to purchase a $9K Suter Swingarm. Those make sense for MotoAmerica, but not for club racing. The 2020+ GYTR ECU and Harness can be had for 50% less (about $1800) when purchased from Japan versus buying from Attack (about $3500).
GYTR is definitely nowhere near MoTeC's capability and because of it's end-user friendliness, will never reach that level most likely. This is something that's been discussed recently by ASBK teams who have moved from GYTR or kit systems to the M1. There is vastly, vastly greater control over the ECU and the ability to shape the strategy around the needs of the rider. GYTR simply cannot offer even 1% of that level of complexity while still being able to be used en masse. Then on the tuning side, we have the fact that ignition tables are restricted, cyl trims are not possible, there is no closed loop. These solutions are really not in the same category and comparisons are unfair for that reason.
Hopefully we see a true WSBK Akrapovic exhaust I see alot of parts coming from Attack performance for this build seeing as the ties with westby racing team and there ties with attack but yea main point exhaust akrapovic all the way
Im livin my 2022 R1 World GO Edition. Got the woolichbflash done at the shop i go to. Night and day difference after i got my CUBFLASHED and the bike DYNO'd
it eliminates the possibility of creating a short when attaching the terminals. if the ground terminal is already hooked up, and the tool used to attach the positive terminal touches anything metal, it can cause a short that could damage something, or possibly start a fire. The risk is low in this situation since theres not any metal around the terminals, but not all batteries have such easy access, so its a good habit to be in.
Pretty rad, only really good riders will probably get one. 200 horses is too insane for a normal person, 3rd gear at 180km off the lights is rad, yamys forever, nic(fzr 600 1990), now have Harley and Aprilia.good site

Need more of this bike!! I picked my 60th up two months ago and I’ve been waiting on vids from y’all!
Will be tuning in fo sure.

Been waiting on a new SBU project bike series! And it’s the R1!! I’ve got some high expectations for this one Freddy!
You guys definitely know how to pick bikes that sound good (the Ducati and now the R1). Can't wait to follow the progress religiously like I have for all your other projects!
Can’t wait to see the progress on this build!
Heck yea been waiting for this moment. Can't wait to see the progress of her. Really like how yall do it in stages instead of all at once 💪
Man, you told me a new project was coming when we talked yesterday. Could have told me you guys were going back to the R1 roots.
Glad to see you guys back on the R1. Gonna send you my '16 ecu as soon as I figure out what to do about exhaust.
dude, this is perfect timing...ready to pull the trigger on a new R1 bike for this race season. will be following this one really closely.

Are there any disadvantages to the power commander verses flashing?

Got my 2022 r1!!! When you dropping the flash for them???
Been waiting a long time to see one!
Not gonna do a complete different wiring harness and ecu? Or is that against regulations? Would give you that tuning ability that you described having trouble with....
There will be several steps along the way.
That matte blue n gloss blu is a great combo, nice choice.
Was hoping you guys would do a new r1 or GSXR1000R. Can't wait for the updates!

Keep the content coming man. Love it! Huge fan of the supermoto project.
Any updates on the R1 project bike??
Idk what mic you are using when you do the dyno pulls but it’s amazing 🤩 it felt like I was there
Yes awesome I'm looking to get the new R1 2022 in that color so keen to see how this turns out.... thanks looking forward to all the updates ;-)

Didja give up on the R1 project? Moore Mafia built up a nice roll racin' one. 😁
Does this model come with an auto blipper?
Yes.
Definitely looking forward to this !!!💯
Do you have any idea when Yamaha is gunna do a complete redesign of the r1? I’d like to get one but I don’t want to buy one and then a year later it’s all new
What is ya'll s break in process.
Did this bike came with an unlocked ECU?
Or you guys just did it, before the video?
Do you guys do any engine modification like the gytr camshafts and pistons ? Could you show that too?
Time will tell!
hows progress?
Put a deposit on mine in November. Open ordering for dealers kicks off April 4th, so im hoping they finally accept my dealers order and I get it!

They come with all fluids from the factory?
yes. PDI these days is a scam, more or less.
How did you get it I’ve been waiting for 5 months now for mine to come in and still no eta or update when it’ll be here
We are going to do a bit of racing on the bike, so there's a different procedure for teams. It'll be worth the wait though!
Looking forward to this. I have 2021 r1 which I’m converting to a race bike 😎🙌🏻
I’ll be bringing my 2020 up there , it could use more tuning.
Hopefully we see a true WSBK Akrapovic exhaust I see alot of parts coming from Attack performance for this build seeing as the ties with westby racing team and there ties with attack but yea main point exhaust akrapovic all the way
“The guy across the way’s gonna be obnoxious with his grinder- he’s probably cutting the catalytic converter off of someone’s car.”😂
They're running wild with that in our area!
Im livin my 2022 R1 World GO Edition.
Got the woolichbflash done at the shop i go to. Night and day difference after i got my CUBFLASHED and the bike DYNO'd
Why did he connect the positive terminal first??

Can you skip dealers and get one shipped to ??? Surcharges?
Not typically, this was only done because it will be used for a racing program and is not a standard method of delivery.
What do most dealers do with the shipping crates? Or what do you do with them? Looks like the top got smashed a bit.
@@daveyt4802 They toss them
What a machine
It came in at 174 as well
Fuck yeah been waiting for a R1 build!!! Hope to see a RSV4 build in the future!!
12:00 Yeah, you mean encrypted.
Pretty rad, only really good riders will probably get one. 200 horses is too insane for a normal person, 3rd gear at 180km off the lights is rad, yamys forever, nic(fzr 600 1990), now have Harley and Aprilia.good site
Love mine only 80 miles on her 😎✊🔥
Love R1
When are we getting the next episode? 😖😖🤤🤤
Yes!!!!!!
Nice bike
Buena máquina, la misma moto que la del 2021
Nice !!
🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
So glad they got rid of that hideous gray crap. I removed all the gray on my 20 r1…
Idea: ZX6r build, then sell it to me!
Hello! I have a 2021 yamaha r1 with i/h/e dyno if u wanna check it out. I have a dyno sheet it did well
Cool.
wonder why u can’t just order a crate and skip out the dealership ?
Liability is one factor and ensuring the bike is mechanically sound, has not been damaged in shipping, etc etc.
Next time show the bike more.
Superbike gsx-r125 should be great!!!!
🥳🥳🥳
🤩🇺🇸👍⚖️👁️👁️⚖️🇯🇵🏁🏁🏁
"Guy across the street is gonna be obnoxious grinding on something"...said from a guy that owns a moto dyno. Hypothetically much???
Did you mean hypocritical? It was a good try!
So tell me why my dealer charges over $1500 for dealer prep fees when these things come fully assembled!!!! Straight Robbery!
Part of that may be delivery. It’s expensive!
😂the guy next door is obnoxious with a grinder. While you guys are revving motorcycles all day. 😅 the irony.
I don't like it's front part we need iron man eyes
cheap cast brake handles. Yamaha has gone way down.
B&S video, months later. No updates. No finish of build or dyno run after flash. Thanks for nothing. Have a nice day 😉
90% of this video is your face. Please focus on the bike more
